Hello everyone! Im brand new here (posting-wise) but I have read tons of the posts here...

I hope that someone can help me with this, because it has been plaguing me for 6 months now, and I am at my ropes end...

Back in September 06, I went to sleep on my couch on a Wednesday (not sure the exact day, sorry)..

And by the way, when I go to sleep everynight, I do so by meditating myself to sleep. Anyhow, so I went to sleep and I AP'ed. I have no idea where I went to exactly, but I felt like someone wanted me to be at this place I ended up. There was a cobblestone street, and I recall a building with wrought iron railing...

I felt completely comfortable, and I saw a figure of a man walk towards me. He had shoulder length dark hair, an athletic body, and dark sad eyes (but an understanding kind of sad)...

We didnt speak audible words. We seemed to be in each others minds... Then we went to the building with the wrought iron railing... to the second floor.

Once inside the room that was on the corner of the building on the second floor, we sat down and just watched each other, but somehow we were still communicating. It felt as though there were other people there... people that I would expect to be there (which I wish I could let you know those details but cannot for fear of giving away his identity).. Anyhow, they seemed to be there, but not conciously.. like they were there because he was there, as if they were part of his subconcious mind. They seemed to fade away and leave the room as I was growing weary and felt like sleeping. (Ive heard this, and I dont know if its true or not, so please help me understand this--that if your astral self goes to sleep while AP'ing, that your physical body dies)

The room was very warm in color... reds, mustard yellows, browns, etc. And so it was that I fell asleep in the chair across from him. He watched me as I fell asleep. When I awoke, he was in the same chair, still watching me, but this time, he had a very peaceful expression on his face, as though he understood me completely.

He then lifted me from the chair and laid me on the bed and covered me with a large red blanket. He laid down next to me, outside of the blanket and we just kept watching each other. Then all the sudden I felt panicky. I felt this strong urge to leave. I didnt want to, but something was telling me I had to go. So I told him I was sorry and that I had to go. He didn't want me to leave, but I got up anyway. When I got up, I had trouble finding something, and accidently knocked over some papers... on the paper I could only make out that it was a numbered list and the last name on it was Laura. He helped pick up the papers and he sat them in a drawer. I had trouble finding my path back home, but he showed me where it was, and kissed me on my forehead. As I left this place, he looked sad again.

When I woke up, I had been asleep for 11 hours and my whole body was tingly... which has never happened before. I have never been gone so long that I felt the need for my astral body to sleep, and I have never returned to a numb body.

Please, please, please... if someone has any insight to what happened to me, let me know.

Also, this might sound strange, but Ive met this same man on two other occasions since that experience. Once in a street, and we sat drawing pictures together, and once in the desert (which was extra strange, bc I was awakened by my cat and when I went back under an hour and half later, I went back to the same place in which I left, but he was in front of me, like he had kept walking)

**BTW, I do know who this man is... but I don't want to use his name and cause a ruckas..and also, I have a friend named Laura (who I just met recently) who has described the same man and same room to me, as though she had been there as well...

Please someone, I have looked everywhere, and this is the one place I feel like someone may have my answer.

Thank you in advance,
<3 Jessica

Um, never heard that one before -- but no, you won't die doing this. I'm assuming when you say you felt tired and 'fell asleep' that you simply lost consciousness of that experience. All of these things are various levels of consciousness. Your ability to focus on or tune in to a certain area/experience is basically your ability to focus your consciousness or awareness on that particular event. When you lose focus, your attention wavers and you fade in to a dream or somwhere else. If you regain your focus/awareness, then you can go back to that experience again. To me, this is what it sounds like happened.

You don't really ask a question anywhere in your post, so I'm assuming you simply want someone to comment on a possible interpretation of the experience. But that confuses me as well. You say you know who this man is and that you've met him before. Are you confused at why the two of you were just staring at each other? Or about the particular location?

Each experience is interpreted by the mind, so like in dreams, your interpretation of the experience will be subject to your own beliefs, thoughts, feelings, experiences. With that said, you comment that you perceived the room to have a lot of 'warm' colors and that you soon fell asleep. To me, warm colors connote a 'cuddly', cozy type feeling. The fact that you soon felt safe and comfortable enough to 'fall asleep' seems to support that concept with you as well. Maybe this was simply a time when you needed to rest for some reason. If there was any sense of potential danger in you doing it, this man may have tried to establish an environment in which you could do what you needed to do without feeling scared??

You may want to ask this man his name next time you meet him. Who you perceive him to be at present may not be who he actually is. My guide has taken many forms during meetings -- sometimes in the same meeting. But she doesn't always appear to me as a female. Sometimes she's a bird, or a dolphin, or a female, but with different colored hair. I've gotten to the point where I can feel her presence, regardless of what form she takes. If you have not officially met your guide yet, it could be that he is presenting himself to you in a way/form that you recognize and won't fear. When he feels you are ready, he will probably 'introduce' himself officially, so to speak. I realized years later that my guide had come to me oftentimes before, but I never knew who/what she was at the time.

Also, you don't have to post his name, but if you do I doubt you would "cause a ruckus". This is a very open-minded group of people. If any 'ruckus' starts, the moderators will step in to calm it down. But as a member you have the right to post any questions/experiences you have and expect sincere answers. So don't worry about upsetting anyone. We have posts here of people who claim to channel God (as well as Satan!).

Not sure if any of this helps or not.
Reality is what you perceive it to be.
