The Cord

Ok.  I need some help.

Perhaps one of the reasons that I can not go astral is because my 'silver cord' has been cut.  I need to know some things about this cord, and if possible, how to reconnect it.

1.Is the cord symbolic or dimensional?
2.What is the function of the cord?
3.How does one disconnect the cord anyway?
4.How do you reconnect?  Is this a metaphor for being disconnected from God?
5.Can others in the astral tap into your own cord, and possibly influence your mind or being?

Today I begin my spiritual practice, which will involve consistent meditation, prayer, and energy work.  I can not stand this world any longer, but, before I go, I must ensure my existence beyond this horrid world. I don't want to waste any more time being screwed around by idiot vampires and moronic false authorities.

Hello.  How about suspending your belief in the silver cord?

If you don't believe it's there in the first place, then it doesn't need reconnecting.

I have never seen a cord myself during my experiences.

It's logic never made to sense to me - "used so you can find your way back to your physical body", you never leave your "physical body" in the first place.

Many claim they do leave their body, hence the term "Out-of-Body Experience" (OBE)

Below are my opinions and beliefs:
1. The Cord is Dimensional.
2. The Cord's Function is to maintain the connection between Body and Soul.
3. The Cord becomes disconnected between Body and Soul after your Physical Death.
4. The Cord becoming disconnected, or severed has nothing to do with being disconnected from God.
We will always remain connected to our Creator.
5. The Cord does not have the ability of being 'tapped' or 'tampered' with,
The Cord is more of a representation of your own vibrational frequency.
Only you can change your vibrational frequency, therefore effecting your Cord.

I'm sorry you feel the way you do.  But please try to remember if possible, that there must be grand reason for the problems you are facing.  This is an amazing universe, and there simply must be some sort of meaning to it all.  If it's of any help to you, I really do sympathise with you, and wish you only good.... 

To answer some of your questions about the silver cord, I personally have seen it only once over thousands of projections.  I had projected out of my body and was standing facing the bed, looking at the bed, when I noticed this ribbon-like thing wafting around my left-hand side.  It came as a complete surprise to me and I thought "Ah that must be the silver cord then?".  It wasn't a cord though, it was a ribbon.

I don't know if the silver-cord is real, or if it is just a mental construct.  In any event it doesn't really matter.  Conventional wisdom has it that the silver cord can not be disconnected, whilst you are physically alive.  To do so would mean physical death.  You can not disconnect and reconnect it! (if it actually exists).  Also as Principle said, the cord has nothing to do with your connection with God, that is categorically not what conventional wisdom sees as the purpose of the cord. The cord's purpose is simply to keep the physical body alive.

I have seen the cord in one of my obes.
It didnt seem single, it looked like many filaments, not just one.  Electric looking.
