I don't know where exactly to post this, but I think this forum has the most bearing to what I want to reveal, so bear with me.

I honestly don't know what is wrong with me. However, I strongly feel it is connected to my attempts of inner energy manipulation. I've been trying this for a couple of years now, and the only results I've had are negative. It's as though I've been tearing myself apart, but rest assured I haven't been physically doing that. Its just that a couple years back, I could see a definite difference between who I was then and who I am now: the simplest things now make me cringe. I'm guilty as charged to being the one of millions of people wanting so much unreal power, and I was foolish to not regard the consequences. So I'm stopping myself from doing anything pertaining to inner work, until I can get some guidance, which is where this posting comes in. And hopefully someone with honed healing abilities will alleviate the pain I feel.

Out of curiosity: I am atheist, but must I have faith in something beyond myself in order to do any metaphysical workings?

Any help would be appreciated.

Just to make sure everyone knows that this posting belongs on this forum, I am asking for my depression to be healed in any way you are willing to do: prayers, chants, etc. I very much appreciate the help. This thread also asks about any suggestions or guidance I could take on so I can learn how to heal myself.

All you need is faith in yourself and your ability to let the Universe manifest its blessings through you.

Also, you have my healing prayers for your depression.  DH  :-)

Principle

Atheist: a person who denies or disbelieves the existence of a supreme being or beings.

We are beings, we are Divine Beings of Energy and Light.
Regardless, If theres a Supreme Being or not.

Therefore, You must believe in yourself,
and that your Energy and Light is somehow connected to something beyond yourself.

So I think being an Atheist, which is the lack of having a faith / belief system, other then morals.
Will come to limit you in many ways, enless you start to open your mind to new things.
And there are many new things to experience when you begin inner work.

I thank you both for your responses and you have my blessings. Yes Principle, you're correct in that even atheists must have a belief in an ultimate power of which they are apart of, and I'm beginning to accumulate such conviction. DH, I deeply appreciate your prayers, as I truly believe they have taken affect :)

May you all live long and prosper

Principle

All those who week inner work, I always let them know they should break all belief constructs, wiether its a religion, or lack of believing in a Supreme Being and allow themselves to being open to new things.
