UFO's and spirituality

I would like to address the possibility here of extraterrestrials making contact with this planet and its inhabitants soon, sometime in the next few decades or so.  The implications of this would no doubt be drastic and profound, but we as a species must prepare for this contact.  I believe the best way to do this is through spiritual enlightenment, which an advanced species likely has a much greater knowledge and appreciation for.  After all it stands to reason that to progress enough to travel interstellarly you would have to evolve as a species in all aspects of your society, including economically, politically, environmentally, and yes, spiritually.  There is, I believe, good reason for this necessary shift.  After all, why visit the ants if the ants will only attempt to nuke you?  A spiritual shift in consciousness as a whole species must occur.  This negates ALL religions.  Not faiths, not the belief in the masters of our heritage like Buddha and Jesus, simply the reconstruction of their teachings in the form of churches that cause separation, pride, and war against one another.  I mean, an advanced intelligence would understand that they would not be accepted by our species when our species can't even accept eachother.  Extraterrestrail contact would provide proof and understanding that we truly are in a universe of divine beings each loved by who or whatever we understand as the creator.  Such contact would be wholly unifying, on a galactic skale, but it lies in our hands.  The faster and more responsibily we become unified as a species rather than a sect or belief then the faster we will come in contact with these ET's that today continue, with astounding evidence in support of, to observe our race.  This would be only benefitial.  Alien technology would more likely then not solve most of the worlds problems of hunger, poverty, pollution, war, medicine, philosophy... you name it.  Our greatest benefit lies in unifying eachother to unify the universe.  So get on it boys and girls.  Live, laugh and love one another.  In doing so, we may actually be alive at the time of the earth and humanities greatest accomplishment... becoming members of the galactic "council" of other species and planets.

Most people today are selfish and wont look or even believe what is in front of them.
They would rather fight or argue over stupid little things than make peace.

If there is alien life out there, I don't blame them for not wanting to make first contact, look at our movies (Its an alien, kill it), and why would they want to help, it wont make any difference unless people started realizing that there is more to life than being controlled by governments and religion.

The world needs reprogramming, starting with the youth and upto adulthood.  A program of love and care, no violence or war (which are mostly just political now and pointless) so we can all unite and raise up spiritually (to speak) then make contact with open arms.

I believe if there is Alien life out there, they are peacefull.  Whats the chance of a rebellion of angels on more than one planet, as God has cast the fallen angels out of heaven and onto earth.

Yes some aspects of media have given fear and prejudice to the concept of ET's.  Independence Day, Alien, Star Wars, Star Trek, ect. contend that alien encounters are galactic war are would go hand in hand.  But thanks to people like Steven Spielberg we are also open to a different possibility.  The Abyss, Close Encounter of the Third Kind, ET, have given us a chance to recognize that contact could be a be wonderful and exciting thing.  Once again, it's up to us.  Unfortunately our government and their politics seek profit and power, and through secrecy and fear control our level of knowledge about how much contact is actually taking place on an almost monthly basis with lifeforms of other worlds.  If you seek the truth you will find that there is far more out there, and here on Earth, of alien nature than the masses are currently aware of.  It's incredibly unfortunate and sad that the views and greed of a choice powerful few can affect the knowledge of the masses so greatly.  That's why it's in our hands as a whole society to stop viewing this phenomena as a joke or the rantings of a crazy person, and recognize that the universe is a massive entity full of life and that the existence of other intelligences is FAR more likely than not.  If society can accept not only the possibility but also the probability then we are that much closer to actual physical realization and, hopefully, future contact in an open and peaceful manner.

I too just recently had a very vivid dream regarding aliens.  It was just after this post, so perhaps that played a role, but it was very intense.  It started with my driving with a friend of mine, who has seen a UFO with me in the past.  I looked up and saw a small bright object flying irradically, and I remember saying "look, I found one".  It then turned bright orange and decended to the earth by us.  We began chasing it in the car and after a short while of pursuit, it stopped.  We were then hit by a bright light and taken abourd their craft.  The beings inside were humanoid and clothed, but looked different somehow.  Smooth skin, smaller features.  They were kind.  They then showed us a screen and we observed ourselves leaving earth.  They gave us the controls to their ship and allowed us to explore our solar system.  For some reason I wanted to go to Jupiter and they said that it wasn't safe.  I do recall traveling very far and seeing many galaxies, similar to pictures that the hubble has taken.  My friend took the controls and as we explored where he wanted to go I began asking questions to the aliens.  They informed me that they had been making contact with high officials all over the world, and while some were very open to the prospect, most leaders hid the reality of their visitations.  I asked them how humanity could adjust enough to accept alien contact, and their response was "we don't know".  I was also told that another close friend of ours was close by when we were abducted and witnessed the event, and that he was being interrogated by the government, who was telling him that nothing happened and that all costs he must deny any account.  At that point we were able to contact him in custody and I told him that there are many universes and even though they are telling him to lie to believe what he saw.  I then witnessed us re-entering the atmosphere in a ball of fire and getting dropped off back to earth, then awaking.

the majority of my experinces were extremly negative. I would awaken with sleep paralysis, become fearful, and then I wold sense "there" presnces. The following things are such that I would prefer not to speak about. However, when I learned to not feel negative when I woke, I was "pulled out" by something and could feel myself floating above my body, experincing the most blisful and peacfull feelings ever. This led me to begin studying OBE experinces and Astral travel. My first OBE that I was aware of what was going on, one of these entities served as my guide. It's all very hard to explain, since the majority of what happened was beyond words....

I used to call them dreams, until they started talking to me. Then they were just to real to be considered dreams anymore.

The majority were unpleasant because I was afraid of what was going on, when I learned to not be afraid, I had better experinces. But I still have a fear of darkness, it was somewhat scarring....

Me too.  Whether it was 'real' or not, I think that if it is indeed a reality we have already been contacted.  Just not officially.

Not yet officially, you are absolutely correct.  There are two reasons that the secret has been kept so secret to begin with, and from what I understand it began with the cold war.  At that time, when nuclear weapons were becoming a fearful reality, alien contact was also becoming reality.  Technology from at least one, possibly two, alien crashes, of which we don't have public detail on whether or not it was our aircraft that shot them down, had been obtained by the United States.  For fear of national security this technology which was being reversed engineered by our own scientists was kept top secret due to the fear of leaking such technology to our enemies, which, if understood first, would put our military at a great disadvantage.  The second reason is that, due to events such as the "war of the world incident" in Chicago in the 1940's, and with the cold war at it's peak, that declassifying knowledge of ET contact with us as a very real phenomena would cause a great deal of wide spread panic and anarchy.  At the time, that was probably a justifiable reason.  But it no longer applies today.  With the advent of space travel to the moon and probes to mars, the possibility of advanced space travel is widely accepted.  90% of Americans believe that ET life exists.  70% belie%ve they have contacted Earth in some way, and some 50% believe that the government is keeping that knowledge from us.  These are not small numbers.  Ironically, it's the secrecy that was kept to protect national security may now be the cause of national security being jeopardized.  With the great deal of experiences, evidence and knowledge in the hands of the government, a sudden, single event of alien contact that would undeniably prove to the world the existence of ET life.  And yet, upon that realization, the information that has been obtained through the decades and kept secret would then, in one swift movement, come to the light of surface only to show that the government has acted outside of chains of command and democracy itself, which would give birth to utter distrust and anger towards our own government as it stands.  If the US democracy is to survive by trust in the future, then ALL information regarding the most important events in human history must be given to the public of the nation and the world.  In doing so, when alien contact is made, perhaps at their liesure, not our own, we will be far more open to it's probability and implications, all the while maintaining the structure of our government that wisely let it's nation know of these events.  By having all the information, the world as a whole is far more capable of preparing themselves internally for contact, so that when it occurs it is welcomed as a step forward, and not a surprise resulting in panic.  Once we all know that it's not something entirely new, but a phenomena that has had great implications over the decades, then we can be more understanding that we are not being attacked or at risk of annihilation, and instead experience the event with open arms and open mindedness.

Good post purple, I whole heartedly agree. I only believe that these entities are not as emotional as we are. Granted, had it not been for them the spiritual revival I am currently experincing would not be occuring, but events before hand were very unpleasant. Perhaps both species have something to offer, we could teach the empathy and they could serve as mentors for us.

If you can talk about why you fear the dark, I'd like to hear it. As when I was 2 years old and then again when I was in elementary school I had experiences that frightened me.

At 2, I was terrified of my room and feared looking into the dark behind the door. I had a nightlight beside my bed and would tell myself to keep looking at the light and I'd be okay. I feared that room and that dark corner.  (very wierd things happened to my parents in that house which eventually lead to an exorcism) I talked very early as a child (6 months and by a year in sentences) so perhaps that is why I can remember this early event or because it was so very frightening to me. I've tried ot have hypnotic regression but it didn't work.  I can never see into that corner now as an adult to see what it was I feared.

In elementary school, I had nightmares that went on for a long time. A black cat would come out from behind the door out from the dark. In the same spot that I feared looking at as a 2 year old. (different house though) It would walk over to me and then jump on me. Attacking me.  I hated to look behind the door in the dark.

So, this is why I'm asking - to see what your fear of the dark was created by.  I realize it may have been more concrete than my "imagined" fear of the dark; however, maybe there might be some similarities?

When im at home, I move about the house in dark at night.  When its dark I feel like there is someone or something there watching me, which is why I try to do it when I can so I can overcome this.

When I was little, one night I looked at the corner of the room where the door is (which was closed) and a black pillar from floor to ceiling started falling towards me, I closed my eyes.  When I looked again, it started falling again slowly.
I did this several times, then went to another bed in the room and same thing happend.
Finally I just kept my eyes closed until I fell asleep.
Only happend once in my life.

I fear that everytime I open a door or walk into a dark room, one of them will be standing there. I have no idea why, as most of my experinces occured when I was awakened from sleep, although I have some foggy memories of "lost time situations." Things that seem very cloudy and unnatural, its really hard to dexcribe the feeling. Like one time, when i was about eight and was a cub scout, me and some friends were in the yard, while or den chief, a Boy Scout who voulenteers to help out a group of Cub Scouts, was pointing out Juipiter, which looked like a very bright star. Next to it was floating something, and I knew exactly what it was... things got hazzy, I remember seeing it float across the horizen, then... nothing. It just felt, wrong.... like one thing blurred into another... I don't even rember talking to anyone about it either.

I geuss I just began to fear the dark because that was where the majority of experinces occured.

The worst is when I am in a forested area. Even with others, I feel extremly, extremly nervous when it dark outside and we are away from camp.

There is so much I have, but I don't remember it, I can feel it...

I had a very incredible lucid dream last night.  I have been improving greatly with lucid dreaming, and have also been reading about the consciousness of advanced beings and how they could possibly communicate through lucid dreaming.  So, when I became aware in my dream, I thought about UFO's, and then on a tree lined horizon I saw a bright red sphere appear.  I watched it for a while, then stuck my hand out towards it and it actually came to me.  It was very bright, but not very large.  Seemed intelligently controlled, but perhaps not inhabited.  Anyways, I was staring at it for a short time as it hovered in front of me, then it took off straight up at an incredible speed.  When I looked up to follow it, I witnessed a very bright red but beautiful visible galaxy in the sky.  It took up most of the sky, and the sphere disappeared into it.  Being lucid, I have become very good at flying, so I took off towards the galaxy.  I began to leave my own atmosphere, but became incredibly frightened, like I would regret what I would find if I continued into space towards that galaxy.  At that point, I woke up.  Best one I've had yet!

Thats pretty cool seeking. I'm more of an OBE person rather than lucid dream, although I have some every now and again. Last night I think I was a pirate or something, my dream recall sucks...
