I have felt many times now something like this: When i in the mornings wake up and then go back to sleep, i often see first some dream and then some strange noices coming. One time it was someone (like a hound or so) calling me by my nickname from internet. One time it was loud electrical like sound then footstomps from my own lobby. Buzzing bee. Click (like when changing radio station). Screamings. Everytime these occur, i feel pretty scared even tough in that moment i wake up in dream as lucid - then i wake up for real.

Anyways, i have experienced lucid dreaming now about two months and then it isn't happening. I think i have managed to convert lucid dreaming also partially as OBE but can't be so sure of it... At least i saw yesterday my hypothetical lucid dream in brightest colors than ever before! Is it then actual obe? Though i started that journey not from my room where i sleep but similar place to it.

I have phased into a lucid dream from an awake state, but only just after a dream.  I think its good practice for a true meditation induced phase.
Confusion separates us...and division teaches us that unity is the only truth.

Lately I've set my alarm to go off an hour or two before I need to get up and have had some success with lucid dreaming/phasing. I think it is, or similar to, the 'alarm clock method'. Setting my alarm early makes it easier for me to reach that 'mind awake, body asleep' state. From here I follow Frank's guide and start 'noticing'. Sometimes I will start seeing objects/scenes which I can 'step into' (phase?) but usually as I drift off to sleep again but with my mind awake, I will just find myself lucid and already in a dream scene. Instead of feeling scared, try to stay calm and accept these scenes and sounds.

If you're lucid in a dream and you want to explore the 'astral', you need to change your focus of attention. Frank explains this really well. I think he says to focus on an object and release the energy feeding the dream and the scene should start to change. Or you could withdraw from the scene completely and find yourself in the 3D blackness. At least that's what happens with me. It's pretty cool floating around there :). You can then, by placing the intent, go anywhere.

Hey i actually had that 3d blackness as i told! :-o It means then it WAS real?? I need to confirm it from my friend though and btw iäm using exactly same method as you it is very effective - and safe.
