I've recently heard that there are some pills that are supposed to induce lucid dreams and do other things for your dreams also, they can be found here http://www.dreamsupplement.com/

Has anyone ever tried these or heard of anyone that has? I'd like to know if they really work, they sound interesting

Vitamin B, more specifically vitamin B12 (and vitamin B6, I think) are thought to increase the vividness of one's dream, and would probably aid in lucid dreaming too. However, expecting an instant lucid dream (as the testimonials say) is nonsense, and the entire site seems to be marketed to the common denominator - sex dreams, anyone? It does, however, state that it contains Vitamin B in the pill, but even then not everyone has vivid dreams with Vitamin B so it might just be a placebo.

There's a big thread about Vitamin B's use for vivid dreams on the LD4All forums, if you're interested:  http://ld4all.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25560

i didn't check the price...didn't even look at it...

but if B12 is what might help with lucid dreaming, probably cheaper...easier and quicker to go to the store and get a case of Red Bull. Besides giving you wings it has B12 in it.

i'm scared that if i start taking these pills, i won't be able to have lucid dreams when i stop taking them...

Red bull might make it difficult to get to sleep though

Might also be interested that blue berries help with memory. Dreams are often slippery in fact any conscious perception while asleep is so helping your memory is definately a good thing.

Someone mentioned to me, that a better alternative would be to just go to walmart and buy fda approved melatonin (since melatonin is an ingredient in the pills anyway.)

it's safer!

Good point you make yourself. The last thing you want to do is attribute your ability to lucid dream to these pills.

Have you had a lucid dream or OBE naturally?

Then why do you feel you need the pills?

B/C I don't do it everynight

Dimitis

just do it the natural way with suggestion and intent, and of course practice...I've come to the point that I have lucid dreams almost every night, most of the time i dont even have to try to become lucid..i just am now...it took years of practice to become that way almost ten years of my life

IMHO, B-vitamins make me edgy.
Calea zacatechichi is usually recommended, though I have not observed
any effects from one week of strong tea drinking in the evenings.
The traditional way, is to have a calea tea and then smoke a little calea leaves.
PEACE.

I've experienced a great increase in dream vividness and recall since I started taking vitamin B6 a couple of weeks ago, I'd recommend it.

I've been trying to lucid dream every night since i was like 6 years old... I only lucid dream like 3 times a month.  I'm gonna try taking the vitamins.  I toss and turn a lot when i'm trying to sleep, and i'm a really light sleeper.. maybe that has something to do with it?

Lily moonsong have you ever tried giving your subconscious mind suggestions as your falling asleep to help you lucid dream?I hear that self-suggestions given while falling asleep are suppose to be very effective.

Yes... I even do it outloud sometimes, but it doesn't help.

Auto-suggestion can work to a certain extent but for even better results the MILD technique (mnemonic induction of lucid dreams) is supposed to work extremely well (if you stick with it!)

I had a few lucid dreams last year and they've got me really into the whole subject... i've started full time to cultivate my ability to lucid dream and im aiming at one lucid dream a night. I had my first lucid dream for 2008 last night (although it was insanely brief I still became lucid so thats encouraging) and the best thing to do is use about 3 - 4 techniques... firstly keep a dream journal and identify your dreamsigns from it once you have enough dreams recorded you need to recall at least one dream a night before you should really even pursuing lucid dreaming... once you've got that down and you know your dreamsigns do reality checks as often as you can (get a cheap digital watch that beeps every hour and do a RC whenver it beeps)... as a complimentary technique you can also use autosuggestion... I use two autosuggestions and just repeat them to myself whenever I remember ("Fortunately I become lucid as soon as I see any of my dream signs" and "day by day the frequency of my lucid dreams is increasing")... i've worded my suggestions with some handy presuppositions so (hopefully!) they will bypass the critical factor and the real message im trying to get through will sink straight into my subconscious. You'll also want to use the MILD technique... any time you awake in the middle of the night from a dream (or do it before going to bed AND also whenever you awake from a dream) run through the dream in your mind, see the sights of the dream, think the thoughts of the dream and say to yourself "the next time I am dreaming I will remember to recognize that I am dreaming"... also notice your dreamsigns  in the dream and picture yourself becoming lucid when you see them.. really feel the excitement of becoming lucid and just run through as many cycles of MILD as you can until you fall asleep... if you can fall asleep while doing this (like me) just do it until you feel like the message has gotten through!.

After a while if you keep up with these techniques the frequency of your lucid dreams will increase.

I have never tryed to do the MILD technique because for me just giving myself suggestions while falling asleep seems to work pretty well but the MILD technique does sound interesting.
