so awhile ago, my friend gave me a tarot reading. i didn't believe in it at first...i thought it was a cheap way to make money. then as she started everything was hitting right on...then...the last card she dealt was the devil card...i was like oh great, im evil...and to make things worse, she told me she never drew that card before.

and before all this i would get this weird feeling of wanting to destroy everything. i haven't really felt that in awhile, just weird...thought i'd bring it up and let you all put your two cents in.

Ah, everyone jumps to conclusions when they see the major arcana..

The Devil card doesn't mean you're like the devil. That's like saying that drawing the Death card means you're going to die.

And if she's never drawn the Devil before, she can't have done that many tarot card readings. Would you have brought it up if she drew, say,  the four of pentacles and then told you she'd never drawn that card before? :-P
All men are equal in death.

i can tell you what i think the cards meant... but i have to know what the other cards were that were in the reading..  not just the last card.  for a reading, you have to look at all the cards together, you can't just single out one card.

shes done like five or six of them...i got the death card too, but i already know that i doesn't mean im gonna die, just that there will be a change...then a bunch of cards with words i've never heard before so i couldn't tell you what they were.

Ah, I love doing tarot readings! I have a deck of my own. But yeah man, the devil card is just a card. It doesn't mean that the devil is having an influence over you or anything. If you feel a need to destroy, well, that is probably coming from something else.
There are in every man, always, two simultaneous allegiances, one to God, the other to Satan. Invocation of God, or Spirituality, is a desire to climb higher, that of Satan, or animality, is delight in descent.
