Is it safe to practice astral projection/OBE while you are pregnant?  My guess is that it is completely safe because your body does not stop funtioning so your baby shouldn't be disturbed, but I was wondering if anyone has heard anything to the contrary.

Interesting question indeed. There shouldn't be a biological impact on the baby. Also, us humans project all the time in our sleep. So unless there is some mechanism in place which prevents pregnant woman from projecting involuntarily, well then there should be no problem.

I would advise caution though. A wake induced negative OBE experience could have a very bad effect on the emotional wellbeing of the baby, what with you being virtually the same being at this point.

Unless you are very experienced I would advise you refrain from projecting from a waking state. Better safe than sorry when it comes to the baby. :)

yea, I'm not trying to obe at the moment, just to be safe.  Lol besides I haven't accomplished it on purpose yet anyway.  I was just wondering because I really don't believe that humans project every night they sleep, or even every night that they dream.  I NEVER have good dreams, I only have nightmares, and I don't think I'm projecting to anywhere when this happens.  So lets just assume for arguments sake that you don't auto-project when you dream and stuff.  This could lead to the question, when does the baby gain a spirit of its own?  And if it does already have its own spirit, just because mine is projected, will the baby's be disturbed?

Everyone has different thoughs about what projection is and is not. The only thing you can do is form your own ideas based on what you experience and read and what makes sense to you.

As for projecting while pregnant, the thought of it being dangerous never crossed my mind. I have 3 kids and never had any problems with it during pregnancy. To be honest, I wasn't intentionally trying anything during those times either. But I wouldn't worry. If you are really concerned, then simply don't attempt to do it. And if you feel it starting, stop it. However, I don't think you need to go to that extreme. While I'm sure it's completley safe, this is just my opinion. You need to do what makes you feel most comfortable for you and your child.
Reality is what you perceive it to be.

When does the baby gain a spirit of its own?
You could say it has always had a spirit. Sounds too metaphysical right? :)
Who knows when exactly, it happens at some stage during development, probably different times for different babies.

Just because mine is projected, will the baby's be disturbed?
Your very mood affects the unborn baby. You are as close to the baby as any two beings can be. Obviously, the possibility is there that you will affect the baby in some way.

If you project while the baby is in your womb. He may see you and follow you, haha. You may also be teaching your baby to astral project even before birth. Try it out if you want, but be cautious.

My son came to my in spirit about a year before he was conceived, so I tend to believe you come with your own spirit and incarnate.  If the spirit was somehow formed from a body, that would mean that some twins (not all) share one soul.  That doesn't seem right for many reasons.
