OBE hearing experiments?

While we all know of experiments of people verifying or trying to verify things seen whilst in the Etheral looking at their surroundings when out of their physical body, has anyone ever thought to try a hearing experiment when out of their body?

What one could do is get a friend to call out a random phrase or short sentence while one is out of their physical body (one of course the person has no idea of what will be) then when they come back, try and have a go at telling what the person was saying when you were OBE in the Etheral watching them recite the random word or sentence.

A lot of people say your hearing is Enhanced while out of your physical body so this should work possibly better. Anyone tried this and had good results or has there been any mainstream experiments done with this?

I can say from my experience so far that all physical senses are non-existent while you AP.
There is no sound, in fact its a bit too silent, a peace you never experienced before.
This does not mean that you can't communicate...the modes are different.

During AT your physical senses are dormand, but you see, hear etc by what I "callmind" sight which is much more sensitive than the physical reality . Note the mind is not the brain but another word for the soul.

My experience is limited to only one OBE but I must agree with the others, sound seems to disappear, the only thing I could "hear" was a constant high pitch tone but I suppose this could have represented my vibrational state of consciousness.
But I did not hear any sound that you normally allways seem to hear even when its quiet like birds singing outside or traffic.
Only when going out and going back in you hear a weird "wet sucking" like sound.

Actually there HAS been a successful experiment to record the voice of a person who was out of body at the time.
Unfortunately I cannot remember where and when that experiment took place. I believe it was done at Stanford Research Institute (SRI) a few years ago. I seem (vaguely) to recall that someone discussed that experiment in an online article or e-book by or about the psychic researcher Charles Tart.

I had an awful OBE the other night about a nuclear accident, and man the bang was mindbindingly LOUD

We observe this other reality by "MINDSENSES" similar to the physical but very much more accute.

For example colors outside our visual spectrum can be seen right up and beyond Xray, microwave etc etc. These of course are seen by our astal eyes as colors.

I have to add that in my experience I have never heard anything while out of body, although sound is amplified and enhanced while in the separation phase.  I have heard very  loud sounds which 'turn off' as my conscious awareness disengages from my physical body.
One thing is to describe what should be expected from a theory, another is to claim that it should happen, especially when it doesn't happen to most.
I think this calls for a poll.

I would like to add that in my experience, sometimes I can "hear" normally and at other times there is a peaceful silence.  The peaceful silence is sometimes accompanied by soft "other-worldly" noises.  Hard to explain.  But yes often I am able to "hear" quite normally.  Mostly though I simply don't notice, because I'm too engrossed in the visual scenery.

Hmmm ok CatMeow you can hear quite normally when out of your physical body right?

Why not try an experiment perhaps with someone hanging around you making a random noise while you are OBE then come back and try and confirm what they were shouting.

What you could try as a verification experiment perhaps, is put some sound recording device in the other room and when out of body, float over to it and shout as loud as you can into it and see if it picks anything up.
