Downloading skills?

I have been reading for a while, and just now registered. I looked through the forum but did not see anything about this. I was wondering if you think there is anyplace on the astral like the Akashic records, or something like that, that you could for lack of better words "download skills"? If the experiences of people is stored in the Akashic records, there must be a place that stores skills that people have learned and developed. It would be great if there was a place in the astral you could go to, and pick up a skill, like just for an example how to program c++, speak German, or play the guitar. I have heard of people suddenly knowing how to speak a language that they have never learned, and that is what gave me the thought.

when out of body go to www.akashicrecords.com and you can download anything you want.

I try to be open minded but this seems like something right out of the matrix...Sorry.
I wandered slowly there
I saw a field where a thousand corpses lie
Angels sang the hymn of the end
About monsters which they fought
Over our world

Kind of like p2p - someone works really hard at creating something, and anyone can go get it for free.

I think there are good reasons that we're not all born with AP skills.

BigJohn

Let me clarify why I asked this question. I am not looking to mooch others skills or anything like that, this is genuine curiosity. I recently heard of a man in another country, who spoke only his native language, which wasn't English. He was in an automobile crash and during the rescue he spoke perfect English to the rescuers. After he had returned home from the hospital he did not know how to speak English. That got me thinking that the skill was available to him in some way other than learning it, and my first thought was somehow his mind connected with it in the astral. If someone here has another theory, I am willing to listen.

IcarianLegacy

I think I understand this correctly. You're asking why can't we access the Akashic records and obtain a skill that we didn't know in our physical body prior to the journey?

I think you only really have access to whatever accumulated knowledge and skill you've obtained in your past lives. I read somewhere that the records have everything you've done and will do? So I'm guessing it's just infinite knowledge that you yourself already have in some form. As for the languages, I read something very biblical related that said that sort of phenomenon is a gift of some sort, so I'm not too sure. I hope that helped in some way.

BigJohn

That right. Since there are many reports of people speaking languages that they have not learned, the knowledge must be somewhere, and attainable. The Akashic records is supposed to be a library of knowledge, so it is my theory that skills might be stored somewhere too. It might be just the skills that you have learned in past lives, the ones that you will learn in your future lives, or might even be all the skills ever learned by anyone. The last does seem a little frightening. There are skills that could harm people, and it would be bad if they were available to any astral projector who wanted them, almost instantly. I am not seeking the place if it exists, but it has been on my mind, as to whether a repository of skills could exist in the astral. If you all think I am way off with my theory, please tell me, as it is just a theory.

There is one more component to skills than knowing how to do them- you have to practice them to be able to be good enough at doing them.
Let me give you a factual example:  I was given information about a brand new cardiac surgery procedure in the akashic records.  I am not a cardiac surgeon, or even a doctor.  A few months later a doctor described this brand new procedure that had recently been developed.  Guess what?  It was developed (and used) shortly before I was given this information.
So now I 'know' how doctors do a specific type of heart operation.
Do you think that for one second I would even consider trying it on another person?

Hell no, I'd still need all those years in medical school, and all the time surgeons need to practice before they start cutting people open.
I know this is an exaggerated example, but valid.  You can learn where the fingers go to play guitar by downloading the information, but you won't get good enough for anyone to want to listen to it until you  practice, practice, practice.

Yes, I realize there are people that are extremely talented for something in particular-but that's talent, not information and has to do with either how the brain is wired, or possibly some karmic thing.  Or a combo of both.

BigJohn

To CFTraveler, I am glad that you pointed that out. I had not considered how the information that would be downloaded would still be relatively useless without practice.

I guess it is possible for someone who is skilled in astral projection to download information, but you could never download a skill, and it seems that the only way to get a skill is to learn it the old fashioned way. Probably better that way for everyone. Thanks to everyone for answering my question. :-)

Stookie

If we were given everything, we wouldn't learn anything. There's a great satisfaction to working hard and earning something, especially on your own. It's one of the great things about living on Earth.

Psan

BigJohn, actually that's a very good question.

First I will just pass it on what others say about universal library or Akashic records (Akash in Sanskrit means the sky). As you must be knowing, its a place in astral where all knowledge, past or future, is stored and few lucky humans have access to it. Those who need it for some greater purpose or greater good get access to it and they instantly know anything and everything about whatever it is. It mostly appears in the form of a huge library where the books are 'alive'.

Ok, so goes the traditional story about it. However I never heard about a Matrix style process, where you can download knowledge into your brain. But there are ways to gain knowledge in astral which would seem equally magical.

Note that Bruce uses the term download to mean retention of memories while waking up to normal consciousness. So don't get confused.

Now let me tell you about it from my personal experience, whatever little I had during these years. Learning and even communicating something in astral is very different, you dont need to read word by word or hear word after word or you don't need to practice to learn new skills these (for example, when I first flew in astral , I did not practice even for a second, I just did it).

When, once, someone tried to communicate something to me, it took the form of a picture book, where pictures were morphing and made little meaning to me. It seems that you need to be 'evolved' enough to get such instant knowledge and skills without painstakingly learning it all. But to get to that level you need to learn a lot here in physical, including astral projection skill and spiritual soundness and strength in general.
So its easy once you know how :)

As Stookie rightly said, physical is a kindergarten where you learn the basics, once you are a master in it, you have better ways to higher knowledge. But I guess, it would seem as difficult as some things are here right now.

From my experiences, and from reading those of others, we are given tiny morsels of information, not huge tomes.

Going to the Akashic requires quite a bit of energy, as it is one step beyond the astral proper. It requires more energy to sustain a visit to the akashic, then it does the astral proper.
Thus, akashic records visits are generally very short, and we pick up only the information we able to gather while we're there.

One would have to spend weeks on end in the akashic learning a new skill (i.e. a language), and then download it to not only the astral proper mind, but to the physical mind as well. Of course, then the projector would have to write it all down to remember it all, because it is very easy to forget it all. Also: a lot tends to get lost in the conversion process (akashic > astral > physical).

Here is the link to the thread detailing my two visits to the Akashic records:

Hopefully it will provide some insight into how these visits go.

Hope this helps!
