dispersing sensations

I'm having a little trouble understanding what your astral body's supposed to "feel like" while exiting. I've tried various techniques before but tonight I tried something different; my own "technique", if you will. At first, while trying the "rope" technique, I felt intense vibrations, as I usually do, followed by the usual ceasing of such. As I lay there in a somewhat deep trance, dissappointed, I decided to try a phasing method, imagining myself on one of those exercising stationary bicycles. I imagined myself pedaling to the rhythm of my breathing. After doing this for a few moments I felt energy sensations in the lower half of my body. I'm not sure what the astral body is supposed to feel like, but it felt as if my legs were made of nothing but pure energy, and that they were moving in synchronization to the motion of what I was imagining myself doing: pedaling an exercise bicycle. It didn't feel like my physical body pedaling, but as if some sort of energy, surrounding my legs, were pedaling. As usual, all sensation stopped at some point. Could this have been my "astral body"? My persistance leads to an increase, followed by a decrease in results. what could I do to go further?

Any response is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your time.  :-)

When doing your exercise bike, focus on the way your legs & feet feel against the pedals, the resistance, your muscles pushing - you have to really be there in the moment. Make it as physical as possible and forget about what you're "supposed" to be feeling or what you think your astral body should feel like. You should also be in a good trance, and if you do it correctly, while you're doing your rundown you'll suddenly "shift" into the scene you're visualizing. There's no classic "exit" feeling of leaving your body, just a quick "phase" into another state of consciousness.
