Where do we go when we die?

"Note the first few chapters are not what I believe about death"

(Some Believe)

Millions go to Purgatory

"The dead in general, according to our teaching, pass immediately to purgatory, which is, as the name indicates, a place of purgation from sin, a place of penances, sorrows, woes, anguish indeed, but not hopeless. The period of confinement here may be centuries or thousands of years, according to the deserts of the individual and the alleviations granted....

The vast majority of passed over humanity are in purgatory. The billions of the heathen are there; because ignorance does not save, does not qualify for the heavenly condition.

All who enter heaven must previously have been fitted and prepared in a manner impossible to the heathen. Millions of ?? are there.

They could not enter heaven, except through the portals of the the ?? "Church"; neither would God deem them worthy of eternal hell, because their rejection of ??? Was due to the confession of faith under which they were born and environed

(how the heck can they speak for God Alan?)

(Others believe)

What about the remainder of mankind? Ah! there is difficulty. Our larger hearts will not consent that all except the saints "must spend an eternity of torture", though this is the logic of our creeds. Our hearts protest, saying that 80% of humanity today is heathen and that fully that proportion of humanity altogether has never heard of God and the terms of salvation.

Can you believe this awful view?" (Alan)

Death, Not Torment, the Penalty

(A little better but I still don't like it)

Note well the mistake made in assuming eternal torment the wages of original sin, when the scriptures explicitly declare that "The wages of sin is death" -- not eternal torment.

I believe (Alan)

Beings are made of body, mind and spirit.
Of these, spirit is primary,
for it connects us to the source of everything,
the eternal field of consciousness."

And that....
"Each of us is here to discover our true Self...
that essentially we are spiritual beings
who have taken manifestation in physical form...
that we're not human beings that have occasional spiritual experiences
that we're spiritual beings that have occasional human experiences. "...

So, knowing now that we are spirit incarnated on earth to discover our true Self through our physical form, and knowing that Spirit does not die, then we can understand that death is nothing to fear because it is then really only a transition and a 'return to home', then how we live our lives here and how we think about ourselves and our life can be liberating and empowering.

If you were to die tomorrow, can you say that you lived a full life and that you impacted positively on the lives of those around you?  Would there be any regrets of things left unsaid or undone?

Yes I think he did but this quote was from a time when they still had that appalling belief course there was also Limbo for the undecided

Hi Alan,
I have no beliefs about what happens after death, so I can only share information from my work and experiences.

We've all heard of "going into the light", and if you make it that far, don't get yourself caught up in some self-created belief-system construction.. waylayed by lower-intentioned disembodied beings, or just plain stuck close in the 3D of earth... then you do go into the Light.

The light is simply an 'avenue' to the top most layer of the Astral. Monroe called this Focus 27. I know it as the place where the Akasha is, among other interesting things. (Akashic Record/Hall of Records, etc)

Once I take someone over into the light, usually someone who has been stuck close to this 3D, we come to what I call the Arrival Zone... and it is here where people reporting NDE's will meet their relative, or other being telling them to go back.

Everyone so far has had someone or something waiting for them at the Arrival Zone, as an example... people who suicided have been met by a "medical team" because that action is seen as a symptom of illness, while most others have been met by a significant person from their immediate incarnation.  This is to help them transition in waking up from "the dream of life"

To see someone wake up is beautiful and sometimes comical too. As their memory begins to get clear, they recall the arrival zone, the feeling of that level of the astral... and you can watch as they begin to shine more brightly again, as if a veil is lifting off them.. which of course it is.

From there, most do their version of life-review, then decide what they would like to do afterwards. Many have stayed on for a while to work in 'jobs' suited to their desires and preferences... for instance, one I know currently works with abused children when they arrive.

What is important here, is:- you are the one who chooses... nothing is forced upon you as just deserts for your life's actions. You have the power of choice in every moment, always. In fact, you do not even "have to" return here!!! You can do whatever you choose, when you choose.

Wonderful isn't it.

Be well

Tayenis,

Your take on the first stage of what comes directly after death is as valid and true as I ave ever read.

Can I keep it  and use it on another forum I am also on, if I promise to give you and Astral Pulse the credit?

The forum is Bruce Moens Afterlife Knowledge forum and I might use this post of yours there and you can check that due credit is given

Just one thing I'm wondering about, and that's this part:

"We've all heard of "going into the light", and if you make it that far, don't get yourself caught up in some self-created belief-system construction.. waylayed by lower-intentioned disembodied beings, or just plain stuck close in the 3D of earth... then you do go into the Light."

Did you mean to say "then you DON'T go into the Light."?

Otherwise it's very informative, and I applaud you for that, lol.
THE ANSWER PARADOX
The answer to all paradoxes shows this: "Reality contains logic therefore logic cannot contain reality."
The paradox here is "how can one know this is true?".

If the answer to one paradox is another then the question is the answer.

Hi Starving,
Might have had some brain fade, plain worn out these days.

I meant that if you do not get yourself caught up in many other realities, whether by choice or not, then you will go into the Light.

Starvingpercussionist

I'm also wondering, Tayesin, if we are immediately reuinited with entities integral to our spiritual evolution that are not from our immediate incarnation after entering into the light. Like, I guess, entities that could remind you of what you were before you came to Earth and exactly why you came in the first place. Maybe you already answered this, but even so I wanted to know if you have any more information on this because, in truth, I would much rather meet with a higher evolved being than any relative of mine (or maybe not, if one of my relatives happens to be a more highly evolved being - I know one deceased aunt who loved me dearly so I guess she'd be ok, lol). I just want the fast track to spiritual evolution, not the same old same old, you know what I mean?  :-) I'd like to move on as quickly and efficiently as possible. Much work to be done.

Thanks.  :-D

Hi Starving,
Sounds like your Aunt may be the one who meets you when the time comes. It's always been someone or something (pet) who loved you unconditionally in life that meets you.

Why wait till death to forge ahead in your awakening? You can do it now. It is all inside you, the Teacher you seek is inside of you already, it is your higher-self and it represents the huge soul you're current awareness is a small portion of. Maybe try out the methods on my site, particularly the one for meeting your higher-self... you could tape yourself reading it in soft tones to assist in the guided meditation. (?) Never tried that myself, as I used a direct approach of going up into the tube of white light above my head while holding the Intent of what I desired to do... maybe try that too.

Alan McDougall

I had a near death event years back, no tunnel or light I just found myself in darkness and I seemed to have become a dense point of intelligent light energy. I was looking at the earth as it quickly revolved beneath me, sort of like a view from a space vehicle. But I was just hovering in space with no need to breath as I had become pure energy

There was a being, much like me also made of light. I felt somehow that it was a "He" and just assumed it was God at first. The earth revolved and stopped over each continent and the Being gave me a message about them

Later when thinking about it I was unsure and demoted the being in my mind to an angel. The interesting thing about this experience is that this being showed me coming events on the earth  such as the great tsunami and Katrina and much more.

I remember that he said the greatest challenge facing humanity was the uncontrolled population explosion mostly occurring in third world countries.

There was much much more shown to me a lot of which I foregot

So your NDE was not atypical then Alan.

You remained in the 3D reality, or Real Time Zone as it is called here. And I think it funny that so many people report seeing these aware beings and refer to them as God... when many of our Higher-Selves appear to us in the same guise. Also, most people will usually experience what they believe they should experience at death, which is why the Tibetan Lamas have always assisted the dying into the Light through their Tantra of the Great Liberation practices. (as in the Tibetan Book of the dead)

Like many others before you and since, you were provided information for a reason. Most times it is not for your personal knowedge base, but rather something we are required to share with others to bring the awareness of, or plant a seed into their consciousness, for whatever the reason.. which we are not always informed of, lol.

AndrewTheSinger

Thanks for sharing your experience Alan.

Do you remember the conversation moments before you returned?
Where does this silence come from?

The untold past of the Earth: http://hiddenhistory.awardspace.com

Alan McDougall

Andrew yes I remembered a lot here is an extract from that nde

This event is absolutely subjectively true. It is a true reflection of what I experienced, while in a death state and coma in altered state of consciousness when very ill. Are they true reflection of some of the mysteries on the other side of life? I cannot say with certainty.

I am going to attempt to describe my near-death experiences while very ill and in a deep coma. This is an almost impossible task, as one has to try and relate the strange alien multidimensional of the other side of life in a way that can be understood in our three dimensional material world.

Firstly I emphasize that my experiences where atypical in the sense that I had no life reviews. Also these experiences were partly brought on by my desire to know the enigma of the origin of evil. They were experienced between 1990 & 2001. .

During a number of extremely deep comas, between 1990 and 2001, while very sick, and in altered states of consciousness, I seemed to die for  while and my soul, spirit, mind, call it what you will, left my body

I found myself in space hoverring above the earth and seemed to have compressed or condensed into an intense point article of intelligent light energy.I was still aware I was me

There, I was sometimes met by a being of pure light, not a human form, but pure point of light, who communicated with me mind to mind, via some form of telepathy. I at first believed it was  God an then later demoted in into an angel! We were in total darkness, except for the point of intelligent light. It was an out of-body experience.

At first I was taken up through a tunnel into a place of learning (library) into the glorious light at the one end of this almost infinite tunnel. While in the light I experienced great feelings of elation, love and peace. Here I was shown great events that were to come to planet earth, sometime in the future. There was a being with me all the time that I could not see, but hear. It spoke with a male voice. I believed it/he was what we mortals refer to as God.

While this omnipotent being was speaking, I could see a panoramic view of planet earth, as if I was a space man observing the earth, all the time, from the window of a space vehicle. The voice that I took as God, was not pleased with what was happening on our planet, and kept referring to humanity in the terms of "mere mortal man, I am displeased with you" (I cannot remember why he was displeased). While this unseen being "God"/angel was speaking, the earth was revolving and stopping at intervals over each continent, in turn, where a warning message was given to each continent. What I can remember was that he was saying to humanity that he was displeased with their actions in some way. (destruction of their home earth)

The frustrating part is that I could not retain all that was said to mere mortal man, by this being, while I was with him viewing the earth with him. I do, however, clearly, remember two warnings. One that a cataclysmic event would start from the Indian subcontinent (tsunami). The other that the middle east crises would not be solved by the peacekeeping efforts of man and that divine direct intervention would eventually come to the earth, sometime in the future, because of the unbelievable evil that some mere men were perpetuating and directly responsible for on earth. (Rape of the planet) ""Katrina And Tsunami Happened""

It was also shown to me that we are not really judged by God, but by our own actions in life, which dictate ones eternal destiny. If all our actions had become totally evil, by the end of our life, we would become a being of darkness and it would have simply become impossible for us to enter the light of God. (Darkness cannot penetrate the light!). To reach this point we would have to have become totally depraved being (like Hitler), with no redeemable qualities.

The destiny of this type of person, by his own actions, would be l banishment down into the deepest darkness of this vast infinitely long pit of the tunnel, remote from the love of God .I was also shown that there are degrees of punishment in the void. Ranging from a gray depressive atmosphere, progressively down into utter horror, terror, hopelessness, despair and desolation in black darkness. I did not see any lake of fire! I, however, got the clear impression that God will one day thrust all evil away from him into the infinite utter remote darkness of the deep and forget it there forever,

But enough of this gloom!

Anyone reading this article is not destined for the awful place depicted in the last paragraph. It is a fact that all of us do wrong and make mistakes in life! But in us are also light, great love, compassion, caring and consideration for others. Therefore we all have varying degrees of light in us that will allow us into the glorious light of almighty God in the light end of the tunnel, at the end of our earthly life. God can work with the light in us, make us pure and allow us to progress up the various levels of heaven into his eternal blissful presence of everlasting peace and joy! It is a progress of eternal learning. Then we become one with God, but retain our unique.

Getting off the point a bit, I would like to refer to something else that were shown me while on the other side.

Time, as we experience on earth, it is an illusion, something like an infinitely stretchable or shrinkable string of elastic. (Perhaps that is why some days seem to take an eternity to pass and others mere moments)?  The end event (end of time) will not come at some set chronological time, but when a certain set of future events synchronizes.

"While I am about it you guys might be interested in the below account also!!!"

I have not yet described my first and other conscious out of body experiences, so I will give a consolidated version as follows.  At about the age of twenty-five in the afternoon my wife and I were having a nap. , but instead of going to sleep I entered a cataleptic state that I now know is hypnagogic sleep. In other words, I was unable to move my body (sleep paralysis). I was aware of my surroundings and that I was laying on the bed next to my wife. Then in the area of my head, an extreme vibration and buzzing began to shake my whole being. I tried and tried to move with no avail at first, and then something weird happened. I found myself hovering just below the ceilings, looking down on the bodies of my wife and can still remember the red bed cover. That indicates some sort of mind sight.

I did not like this experience, feeling some sort of an malicious being was watching me all the time, in addition the vibration and buzzing were very unpleasant. However, this sleep paralysis vibration started to happen more and more spontaneously until I found myself outside the house one night looking at the stars. My consciousness awareness seemed to have separated from my sleeping body. I then began to take a real interest in this phenomenon and was let to read a book by Robert Monroe and found the term then used was astral travel.

It was considered evil or even by my then Christian friends who advised me to stop as my vacant body could be possessed by an evil entity, while I was traveling into other realities. Taking their advice, I stopped trying to exit the body when the catatonic sleep paralysis came at night and eventually these experienced ceased for many years.

Then came my profound nde , which is possibly the most amazing OBE that anyone could wish for, this reactivated my interest in the OBE and I started to spontaneously experience all types of other realities on my nearly nightly travels. Some of these realms where so bizarre that there are no words to express these other dimensions. Realities alternate universes other selves, in the English language. The resent thread "they all walked backwards should should give an idea to the forum.

There are other strange humanoid life forms so advanced from us that one could not get them to recognize me as a sentient being. Others were primitive, others almost totally like or earth but with minute differences. What we call matter is simply a wisp of smoke and I could rush through giant planets, which flashed be as rock, crystal, fire and again into the unimaginable void of the unifiers into the composite white light of SOURCE..  Our universe would at first appear as it receded as an infinite dark plane then become a huge black orb until it was just one black dot amongst the infinities other universe in the eternal now of existence. All interconnected molecules of one colossal gigantic great all encompassing cosmic body

I did not interact with those who have passed on but appeared to remain within the material realities. However, I did experience some frightening things, such as coming back in horror to the wrong body. This person was in a small prison cell somewhere and I really got a fright and immediately found myself back in my own body. At times, I seemed to have dual awareness in that I became somehow two beings, my sleeping self-communicating with my ethereal self.

I hope this brief summary is of some interest to the forum

Excellent post again Alan.

The place you went to in the tunnel of light is an area Monroe refers to as Focus 27. It is where the Akasha is.... akashic library, hall of records, for want of other words.

It is also were the deadies are taken when I work with them. And, you will find many interesting things at this highest level of the Astral realms. I've been there so often now that I share methods with others to get there for themselves, and it works a treat too.

Many people astral travel there to talk with guides and such, which is what the stone benches are for around the Lake there in the Park.

I strongly feel that the being you encountered was your Higher-Self. Those others that did not recognise you may simply not have registered your vibration as they were seeing what they wanted to.

All forms of life come and go at the Akasha/Park. Back in 1977 was the first time I got there (aged 17) on my own merit, and have since been going regularly to view information relating to my current incarnation and worldly events.

What you were shown at the Akasha is always probabilities and possibilities. Our choices are what brings the probable into being the actual..... but we also have to allow some leeway for what Earth does in her vast and natural cycles. Which is what you were fore-shown.

Keep up the good work Alan. Thanks for sharing this.
