How long did it take you to Astrally Project?

I've been meditating, visualizing, and trying for Lucid dreams for a while now and I've attempted it a lot but after 6-8 months all I can get Astrally is the buzz. I'm wondering what the average is for an OBE of some kind.

I know a lot of people are going to differ but I figured it would be helpful to all the beginners such as myself to know.

It depends entirely on you and how dedicated you really are. Hard to say what the average is. Some do it in days, others take years to get their first conscious OBE.

It is also possible you are already having OBE's, but are simply not remembering them yet. This ties in with the notion that we AP basically every night, and that dreams are low lucidity projections themselves.

My first OOBE (1995, 20 years old) only took 2 weeks of conscious constant effort (daily basis, reading books all the time, dream journal.)

Present day - 13 years later: Its been over a month of exhaustive immersive conscious effort and havent even brought on the vibrations yet!    Maybe I am trying to hard?

this is excellent advice.  much focus should be placed upon simply becoming conscious of the astral projections which already occur.  we commonly forget our astral projections, much like we forget our dreams.  and there are still other times when we may fail to identify a projection which we had due to lack of familiarity.
