Question for those who leave their body at will

Hello all,

It may seem as if this is my first post, well, it is with this user name. I forgot the other one I used to have many years ago. Oh well.

Anyway, I´m still confused as to whether leaving your body at will and being in astral form in this physical world in our current physical time is called OBE or an astral projection.  To me they are the same thing but in order not to create confusion I worded my subject line the way I did.

My question is, once you are out, other than the certainty about reality that comes with the experience (I think, since I have never left AT WILL) how else can you benefit from it?  I mean, can you somehow have a glimpse of the future? do you have access to universal wisdom?  can you speak to other beings that convey information that may be of some use in this life with our current ego-personalities?  Or are you the exact same person you are now except with the ability of flying, going through things, going into things...  I mean, am I missing something for my personal and spiritual growth by not being able to leave at will, or, for that matter, at all since 17 years ago?

i personally equate them as being the same thing, whether they are performed at will or experienced accidentally.

astral projection can often be sufficient to alert us to the reality of the existence of other dimensions, which will be important to our prepartation for the afterlife, although many of us forget to apply these experiences in a practical context of we haven't had them for awhile.

yes, these things can happen, although they may not necessarily always occur.  higher frequency projections are ultimately more beneficial.

this can also be the case if we aren't operating at higher frequency vibrations.

consciousness is key.  one type of consciousness is astral consciousness.  however, there are multiple astral frequencies from higher to lower.  a second type of consciousness is higher frequency heavenly consciousness.  these are most beneficial when experienced simultaneously.

Thanks AstralTraveler, now I realize astral projecting is only the first step and that once you are there you can begin experimenting.  Knowing the future is something I might be interested in if i find it useful for my current incarnation.
