The astral place where thoughts are formed...

I am fascinated by this idea.  I've read short descriptions about it but would like to understand a bit more.  From what I know, apparently when we think about something, we start creating whatever it is we're thinking about energetically and this can be seen by APers somewhere in the astral world.  This area is packed with partly formed thought energy...

If you know more about it, have seen it in the astral yourself, or can recommend a book, I'd very much like to hear from you!

Thanks!

Here is my personal bible on the act of "thinking":

QuoteOf all of his works, Intuitive Thinking as a Spiritual Path is the one that Steiner himself believed would have the longest life and the greatest spiritual and cultural consequences. It was written as a phenomenological account of the "results of observing the human soul according to the methods of natural science.

This seminal work asserts that free spiritual activity - understood as the human ability to think and act independently of physical nature - is the suitable path for human beings today to gain true knowledge of themselves and of the universe. This is not merely a philosophical volume, but rather a warm, heart-oriented guide to the practice and experience of living thinking.

Readers will not find abstract philosophy here, but a step-by-step account of how a person may come to experience living, intuitive thinking - "the conscious experience of a purely spiritual content."

During the past hundred years since it was written, many have tried to discover this "new thinking" that could help us understand the various spiritual, ecological, social, political, and philosophical issues facing us. But only Rudolf Steiner laid out a path that leads from ordinary thinking to the level of pure spiritual activity - intuitive thinking - in which we become co-creators and co-redeemers of the world.

It might not be exactly what you had in mind. It doesn't focus on thought forms, but I think is much more practical information on thoughts. For me, this has changed not only the way I view thinking and thoughts, but how I actually think. And in turn, how I perceive the world around me. It's beautiful stuff that I recommend all the time, but to be honest, no one ever seems even slightly interested.

A meditative quote from the book that I can't forget: "Thinking is an island in the river of the soul"

Hi Stookie, thanks for replying.  But as you said it's not what I'm looking for.  I know about intuitive thinking and the law of attraction - and I do practice these as much as I can.  What I'm talking about is the activities that take place in the astral dimension in response to our thoughts, and the fact that these are visible to astral travellers.

IMO this is true of all aspects of creation, from the most abstract mental levels to the more material plane(what we call reality.) What makes the diff. is that the more 'material' the plane is, the more time and space are needed to manifest this creation.
I've been to areas in the astral where I've seen decaying thoughtforms, and I'd classify them in the mid to low astral, and I've never been sure if I created them myself or just visited someone else's creations. I have created a thing or two, and it was done differently- once I manifested a lawnmower (as homework in a teaching temple) by just thinking of it, and once I helped build a church in what seemed like a very verbal way-through a sort of astral telephone and directing others to do this or that.  I'm sure this means something (I'm bossy and opinionated?) but the place turned out nice.
However, I'm not sure there is a 'location' perse- it's more of a state of consciousness.
Perhaps this is not what you mean, though.

Thanks CFTraveler.  That's very interesting.
