I keep running into dead people

Well,I've had about 20 successful OBE's. For the most part when I leave my body, I have stayed in real time and usually not too far away from my room or my house. Well, a few months back I really mastered the movement part and was able to get to the point where I can "fly" and maneuver pretty well just by my thoughts. This has enabled me to go to higher vibrational realms, and I've ran into some really interesting things.

The first time I interacted with a person, it was a little girl. Everything in this place was extremely beautiful, and I think it was a realm close to heaven. I asked her if she could see me, and she said yes. She was probably about 10 years old. She told me her name was Meghan and she had died from a head injury. She said that she wasn't supposed to have died- that the doctors just thought she'd need just a few stitches, but she ended up dying from complications related to her injury. She was extremely sweet, and I was just thrilled to be interacting with someone that could see me.

Today, I had a similar experience but this time I know that I was still on our earth because everything just seemed really ordinary. (the higher vibrationally you go, you are usually experiencing realms closer to heaven and things become very beautiful) So my first stop was in this apartment where I saw about 5 young guys hanging out. I'm not sure how I knew this, but I knew these people were alive and well, and were all very much messed up on some sort of drugs. They couldn't see me, so I knew that they were not any type of entities or ghosts.

The next place I went to (I had problems controlling my movement and I would travel and everything was just like a dark tunnel until I got there) was another apartment. I saw 3 people there, and when they saw me. I knew (I'm not really sure how I knew I just did) that these were earth-bound spirits who hadn't moved on. I got the impression that the place they "lived" they had lived there before they had died, and this was their home. (so it is probably a haunted place) I looked over, and the whole side of one wall was full of really old records (like retro CD's) from like the 70's. I kind of wonder if the reason everything seemed so retro, was because that was the way it was originally when these 3 guys had lived there, and with their emotions or whatever, had been able to keep these items visible to them-like an imprint. This is how they still view their environment. Perhaps in the physical, it might be totally different looking. Anyways, so I went and started talking to one of them. He was old- probably late 50's and had wrinkles and a few scars on his face. His hair was white, and he was pretty rough looking. I asked if he was dead, and he said yes. (here's a side note: I'm always really curious what I look like to other people I run into-whether I retain my physical appearance) Since I was curious about how I appeared to him, I asked him what I looked like to him. He just said a matter of factly: "Well you look just like yourself". I thought that was kind of a funny obvious answer! I could tell that he seemed surprised that I was there. If he is an earth-bound ghost, I'm sure that he probably knew that I was different from him. Obviously, I am not a physical body walking around, so I wonder if he knew that I wasn't a ghost like him. (even though I was in spirit form)

SO guys, here's my questions for any of you:
1. Why do I keep running into dead people?
2. Do you think that the old guy who was deceased knew I was still alive and not a ghost?
3. Have any of you interacted with any dead people?
4. Do you think that our astral form resembles our physical form?
5. When we project, could normal people see us- like would we appear to them to be a ghost?

I just have to make some lighthearted comments about your observations.
" (like retro CD's) from like the 70's"  - I graduated from High school in the 70's  vinyl records were still going strong then.

James T.Russell invented the CD-ROM in 1970, but CD's didn't hit the streets until around/after October 1982.

I think you're describing either an 80-90 year old person, or possibly a dope addict in their late 50s.

LOL, I'm in my late 50's now and while I'm not a pretty young fresh punk, I'm don't have wrinkles and scars on my face and while my hair is gray, it's not white yet.
I still go kite surfing every week and can go out in 6 foot surf without any problems and usually stay out for at least 4 hours in strong winds and I'm still improving with practice and I'm better than I was when I started in 1999, over 9 years ago.

50 and even 60 isn't old anymore. (unless you abuse yourself, are an alcoholic, doper, obese , don't exercise, only eat crap and too much meat all your life.)

Did I say lighthearted? 

why do you see dead people? You're probably helping them with transition or guidance.

I think I visited my Mother in her heaven world garden. It was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, forests of trees and flowers as far as you could see.

Did I interact? Yes, I listened to her message to me, and we touched hands. I tried to express my emotion, but it caused a problem and I "whoshed" away. I think that having emotions in a place like that is like inappropriately tinkling in public.

Speaking of age, I saw myself when floating past a mirror that was in an office of a huge futuristic warehouse building.
I caught the brief image of myself in my 20s and totally ripped and fit! Sort of embarrassed but it caught me by surprise.

In another experience, I think that I was just a globe of light floating around like a balloon. I was at a park looking down at people and they were looking up at me with amazed and amused expressions on their faces.

Guess I'm not interested in the wise old sage image atm.

Yeah, I probably mis-guessed his age. I was born in 81 and my parents had records in the house when I was little, but I wasn't sure if younger people than myself would know what a record was. LOL.

My vision wasn't the greatest during this experience, and he kind of kept fading. Late 50's was just a guess.

That's pretty neat about seeing a reflection of yourself. I think when we're in the astral world, our thoughts manifest very quickly. The reason you looked ripped and 20 was because that's probably how you feel about yourself. (since you sound like you are in great shape)

Thanks for sharing that story about your Mom. That must have been very emotional! I was emotional after meeting these people and I didn't even know who they were.

How often are you able to project? Mine are really random, and I sometimes go a couple of months without anything.

Same here. Getting over a mild obsession to do remote viewing of Pakistan and Afghanistan, pretty silly eh?

Recently had a great meditation where I could see the stars, and the surface of a moon or planet covered in craters. Not a full projection, just sitting in my chair watching/viewing this in my head, like looking through a window, very sharp and clear.

It keeps me going and optimistic.

Because like attracts like in the astral/ethereal realms and those ghosts that you continually meet are actually much like you. The biggest difference between you and them is that you were temporarily out of your physical body while they are permanently OOB! Beyond that there are far more similarities than differences.

Regarding question # 4
4. Do you think that our astral form resembles our physical form?
Most definately Yes. Once or twice I have seen my astral/ethereal body while OOB and it looked most similar to my physical body. Most reports that I have read of people who see their astral/ethereal body (soul/spirit, etc) also report it to be nearly identical with their physical body. It might be possible to (temporarily) alter one's form while OOB. Yet the natural appearance is similar to the physical.

It probably depends literally upon the 'Spiritual awareness' of the beings that you encounter. Most likely a few 'ghosts' will realize that you are a (temporary) astral traveller while most will be unaware of your true state and will believe that you are 'one of them (permanently discarnate).

In any event it may not make much difference in the short term. You will be able to interact and converse with them to the same degree regardless of their state (ghost or OBEer).

btw  Ever wonder if any ghost sightings are actually the sightings of a living person who was having an OBE?? Makes you wonder.
