What if you were an OOBE expert and placed a picture of say... Angelina Jolie's face on your own (Brad Pitt for the ladies).. maybe even go the whole nine yards and cross dress... could your subconsious and physical bodies "bump uglies"? It is a messed up concept and I'd never try it but based on Robert Bruce's research on the mind split/looking into double's eyes it led me to that slightly perverted question... anyone care to try it?... assuming they accept your offer and have protection, though depending on your abilities you could take care of the latter.

You seem to be treating your body and your double as separate entities.  I can't imagine how this can work.
If you read his work again, you'll see that the etheric double is a more subtle representation of your physical body, that exists in an energetic or more subtle version of the physical.  So if you did do what you said, there would not be physical contact, just contact with your own energy.

I have projected and then touched (or tried to, anyway) my physical body (looking for chakras and stuff liket that) and it felt like sort of magnetic plasma, in between silly putty and just electricity.  But the visual is going to be what you expect, so your projected double may not even see a 'mask' or any of the other stuff you thought of.

Sort of crude way of putting it... just interested what would happen to the relationship between conscious and sub-conscious with the concepts of "mind split" and "virtual reality" in mind. People say to put up a poster of a place you want to visit, and so it becomes. I figured if you could put a picture of someone's face on your own, you could look back at yourself and see that person. I think some people on here have reported having sex during astral projection, so I just combined the scenarios into one... creepy and perverted I admit, but curiosity got the better of me.

No, my physical eyes were closed.  But I did have double input, I could 'see' my physical body and at the same time I could 'feel' my etheric hands plunging into my chest and forehead and busting through my crown, which was the solidest of them.  I did punch through and opened it up.  So it wasn't wasted time.  Fascinating, actually.

I know exactly what you mean by 'double imput'. I think its where the 'old hag' stems. In fact, I think the old hag is an OBE glitch where our consciousness has not duplicated and joined the etheric body.

I've experienced what you mention, e.g. being aware of my body and being aware of being OOB at the same time. I know of scenarios of further splits but I cant get my head round doing it. I also find the validity of different focus levels, (higher/lower planes, focus 23 etc) hard to believe.

Why?  Don't think of focus levels or planes as separate things, just as gradations of being.  There is an author named Kurt Leland who explores these gradations not in terms of temporo-spatial coordinates (such as planes or phases) but in terms of functionality- for example the 'astral plane' is simply your interaction of a more abstract form of experience (still similar to the real world in conceptual form) and the mental as any interaction in any 'plane' or 'focus' that becomes more and more conceptual and abstract.  For example in one experience you can explore the idea of 'alternate realities' and it's a mental experience, and other types of ways of looking at these adventures.
I recommend reading his books (I have two, Otherwhere being the first one I read) if you haven't yet.  His model may be more to your liking.
