Hi All,

I have another experience to share, something that happened in the past about 29 years ago. This event was buried in my memory and for some reason after attempting OBEs the last tow week I have suddenly remember this.

I lived in a small house that had a pretty big attic of which the entrace to it was right outside my bedroom door at the time. You may or may not have ever seen these type of attic doors, but there is basically a door in the ceiling that is held closed by heavy duty springs, and on the door there is a large string, almost the size of a rope that is attached to it which is used to pull the door down to reveil the latter.

I was about 4 years old at the time and had a very wild imagination. I would think about monsters under the bed and more specifically I would think about what might lurk up in the attic. I would always have my mind focused very intently on this attic door every night while falling asleep, thinking that something may push it open and peek out at me. I would eventually drift off to sleep and my fears of this would disappear.

So I was laying in bed on this particular night and I had just drifted off and then the very next second I was floating above the attic door and there was this enormous buzzing sound the was saturating my body, it was so loud that it was drowning out my thoughts almost. The attic was lit up very bright and I could see everything cystal clear. The attic should have been pitch black, even if the light had been on it would have been very dim. I was actually in the attic!

I was only in the attic for like 1 second and I became so alarmed by the sound of the buzzing and the fact that I was in the attic that I woke up immediately.

I am not sure if this was a childhood OBE, but now that I have been able to recall it happening it sure fits the description.

Fascinating!

Best Regards

David

That's pretty cool. Let us know if more of these memories come to you.

I used to have what I now think were OBEs when I was younger. At the time I just thought them to be weird dreams but I noticed how it felt quite different than my normal dreams. I would float Indian style around my house. I did this 2-3 times a week for several years. When I would wake up I would have vibrations and I was usually in sleep paralysis. It never struck me that it could be an OBE until I recently had one and I remembered it feeling exactly the same.
