Hello:  I am looking for other advanced OBERs, like myself, that had thousands of OBEs/lucid dreams/etc., and that have taken years learning about them by personal experience.  I have found a few folks, but I am interested to find others.  Basically, I am interested in collaborating and pooling of thoughts and ideas.  I don't tend to share many of the common viewpoints of OBEs, etc.  But, I find it helpful to discuss things with others that have similar knowledge, etc.  At this time, I am more interested in folks with first hand experience over folks that are well read on the subject.
Thanks,
Spark

Hi Spark-
Well, I have been having these experiences for most of my life- off and on for around 50 years. That may qualify me, although at times I still feel like I am a beginner.  For a brief overview of my journey, see my blog.  (Link in the sig line)

Hi.  Thanks for your reply.  Well, to some extent, I think we are all beginners in view of the vastness to experience and learn.  I suppose it depends on how you feel about your level of experience.  I am interested in trying things like co-obeing (selected times, etc.), and discussing issues, and coordinating on conceptual ideas to implement.  In order to do that, I think that folks would need to be able to really OBE at a particular time and with consistency to really participate.  But, that is not really required.  I am also interested in folks with a deep understanding to share and collaborate.  To me, the 50 years of experience is particularly great because you have done it thru various phases of your life.  Anyway, among other things, I am involved with experiments with a university too.  Anyway, I am hesitant to put my contact info on the internet.  I am going to create a google email address that folks can send emails to and I will respond with my contact info.  Anyway, I suppose that I am also hopeful to find some very advanced dream guru out there -- e.g., some shaman sitting alone on a hill top somewhere -- of course, with a computer in one hand -- but, I am sort of doubtful.  Anyway, I just set up an email account for this ... To.The.Dream.Team@gmail.com.  Anyway, just being silly on the name.  Regards, Spark

P.S. to all: Anyone else interested in participating and email there too.

Fair enough.  One thing though about me is that I have not been able to project at will.  This thing sort of comes and goes in clusters for me (3-4 a night three nights in a row, and then absent for months at a time), and in the last few years it has been notably absent.  So, I did not read about this and decide it would be fun to try.  I had to learn to live with it, thinking that if I did not learn to live with it, it may have driven me nuts- or at least more nuts than I got on my own.   I have had some experiences in the past though with attempting to project and share experiences.  Those are mentioned in the blog.

Hi.  For me, I go on and off too.  I am a patent lawyer and manage a small firm.  So, I am tied up in the real world too.  But, to be honest, I think it is most exciting and interesting if you can learn how to project when you try to.  I am not perfect by any means.  But, I can project on average about 50% of the time when I try to.  Sometimes, closer to 100% (but, never really 100%) for a few months, sometimes lower.  Once you can do that, you can plan something in advance much easier.  And, you can be better positioned to recall what your goals are, what the present time and place is, etc.  Personally, I find lucid dreams -- in which one enters from the dream state to be a bit more confused (not confusing... just that I am not as tied to the present and my plans, etc.).  That is, one can have trouble to recall the present when one enters into a lucid dream after sleeping for 6 hours.  Anyway, for me, I basically get up a little earlier, wash up and then relax and go back to sleep.  I also tend to get a few OBEs back to back, with the later ones usually being the best (i.e., most controlled, planned, etc.).  Also, I have found that you can really help by mentally preparing beforehand during the day ... And, I think I also started to improve once I started to notice the pre-OBE state or what I think folks call something like the hypnogic state.  Anyway, send an email if you are interested to chat more ...

I am just curious as to what your ultimate goal is. My ultimate goal is to eventually get the entire earth experiencing OBEs at will. I know it will not happen in my lifetime but the spark has to start somewhere.

I like people like Robert Monroe who are actually trying to bring forth change in our world by getting everyone involved whether it be advanced or beginner.

Best regards

Hi Spark,  here's my graphics interpretation of an experience where I think I was a spark in a blue void of some kind. (In Synergy's thread)

After 40 years I'm still having difficulty, so I'm more retarded than advanced. Hoping for more luck in the next lifetime.

Your research sounds inspiring, best wishes and success to you.

Thanks for the posts.  In response to one question, my goals are kind of widespread.  Basically, I don't really envision being able to sort of save the world.  Nor do I presume to be able to do so.  My goal is to enjoy and grow.   And, my goals are to improve my life in the hear and now and also better understand what lies beyond ... and, perhaps be ready upon my exit from this fine place.  Anyway, I think that my self description of very advanced OBER could be misleading.  Many years ago, after my first few hundred of OBEs, I kind of thought I had it all figured out (well, not really, but I did not realize how much more there was that I was missing).  But, as I have grown, I have also come to realize the complexities.  Anyway, I truly think that people assume much to much.  My goal is also to ascertain some truths about what is occurring and to improve my abilities therein... bit by bit.
