Can't See or Hear?

Hello all. I'm kinda new here but I do have some experience in O.B.E's. I can't do them when I want to but I kinda just do it by mistake or as I'm waking up. Sometimes I do it from lucid dreams. My question is why can't I see or hear anything. Sometimes I can hear sounds but I have never been able to see anything. It's always pitch black. I have read on here where people can see everything and even their ethereal bodies. I have never seen ANYTHING. LOL. I feel floaty  and free but I can't move or see. Is that a mental thing? A fear induced thing? Could a Spirit be blocking me? I would appreciate any help you can give.

I've been through a lot spiritually and I won't get into specifics but I was in a bad religious church where the pastor hurt me emotionally and spiritually very badly. This was almost 10 years ago and I've never healed spiritually again. My spirit feels broken, weak, and drained all the time. I have a feeling this is where my depression stems from. I KNOW this guy was a master of astral projection and spiritual things but he also had cruel intentions. Sometimes I wonder if he's leeching off my light like a energy vampire. How do I protect myself against that or sever any ties to him? I strongly believe that just because he knows more about spiritual things doesn't mean he's stronger than me. I may be weak in the body but my spirits willpower and understanding is eternal and infinite. I guess my question is: How do I heal my broken spirit?

Say out loud  "Clarity now!" with vigor and you should be able to see. Being close to your body may also effect you sight I think, quote me if I'm wrong. Also inexperience effects your ability to see and move around to, though I some times can't see myself and I forcefully think I can see and it happens.
