I posted this on my blog this morning, any other help would be appreciated.. thx in advance

"I was in deep trance twice in the last two days in an attempt to project and both times I felt the desire to open my eyes and found I had what I assume is sleep paralysis over my entire body, except I could move my eyes, and later my mouth. I knew the paralysis was part way along my goal to projecting and as a result had no fear at anytime in the experience (which lasted 3-5mins).

I watched closely for a few minutes to make sure I wasn't partially projected or something similar but I was definately watching through my physical eyes but the rest of me from neck down was in paralysis... I attempted a few things to try to turn this into a projection but was unsuccessful..

In order to use similar future experiences and turn them into a projection I did a little research on the internet and found this:

The OBE & Lucid Dream Quickstart version 1.0a available here

In the Lucidology quickstart guide I read this:
Here is very simple exit method by a forum poster named tsunaH which works surprisingly well. Once you’re in 100% stone cold sleep paralysis you’ll find that you can control:
1.) Your breathing
2.) Your eyes
3.) Your face
When you reach 100% sleep paralysis your breathing is physical but your eyes and face have shifted into nonphysical focus.
What you do is shift your focus in to your face which draws you in to nonphysical focus completely. To do that, simply open your mouth and continue breathing in the slow sleep-breathing rhythm your body will already be in.
This will initiate the separation process and you’ll probably begin to hear rushing noises and vibrations which are both effects we’ll talk about more in Lucidology 101. Once things have quieted down again you’ll be in an OBE and can just get up out of your body in the nonphysical version of your bedroom.
from The OBE & Lucid Dream Quickstart version 1.0a p.9 - Craking the safe: The "Open Mouth" Exit Initiator

I believe that I will find myself in this sleep paralysis situation in the future and I hope this method may allow me my first full conscious projection experience."

Hi newmethod,

I hate to sound like a real prick but when I reach sleep paralysis I just simply ask the universe for energy (the vehram array once) and the vibrations immediately start and I can then just roll out of my body. I am going to send you a PM with some information that may help you.

I never really think much about the process while it's all taking place, I just find that I instinctively know what to do.

Best Regards

David

My goal was always to bypass the SP phase of the experience once it occured to me that I could bypass it. SP is way too noisy and disruptive- or at least it was for me. Not to mention scary. f you get to a point you can focus beyond SP awareness, then you can really get out and do more in the experience. For me, SP was the main source of fear I had early on.  Fear that made me want to stop, made me afraid I was doing something wrong, or tat would kill me or make me lose my mind.  Learning to pass through that phase made all the difference for m

I think i tried pulling energy from the Vehram array but with no luck.

Your not sounding like a prick  Sounds like you've been travelling along this journey for at least a few years and have solid intentions. I say good luck to you.  I'm not bothered you seem to do this so easily   8-)
You have helped me greatly on my journey in little time. Inspiration. Motivation. Information. Presence.

I say enjoy it, love it, but don't flaunt it.

Out of interest how do you pass this stage ancient one?

Thanks again,

Hi ancient_one,

That is interesting, Isn't that called a teleporting OOBE? I may be wrong.

I tend to like the rushing sounds, vibrations and sleep paralysis. It seems to highlight the fact that there is a clear transition from waking conscious to something else. Perhaps once I gain more experience I will see things differently but it's fascinating at this point in "time". I guess the same thing would apply in reverse order as well, I would like to experience the transition from OB back to physical awareness as well.

I share the same curiosity that newmethod has regarding how you pull this off.

Maybe  I should qualify my statement by saying I am not an intentional projector. Almost all of mine have been spontaneous- So I may not know the acceptable manner to go through all of the stages intentionally, or if that is really done.  For me, from the start- what I have perceived as SP had scared the hell out of me.  I learned that since I could not seem to stop the experiences, I would try to learn to live with them.  One way I found was to anticipate the SP experience, and focus beyond the scary parts of it to the eventual projection experience that would follow.  - I just know that the SP experience is going to start, and I focus beyond it- It may be true that I do not get out of it completely, but I also do not dwell on it.  It is not a goal in itself. My goal is beyond.  My goal is not to be out of my body. My goal is to be someplace else.

Humm-  A teleporting OOBE? I have not heard the term.  As I said in my reply earlier in the thread, I can tell when this is all going to start, and I just focus my energy beyond the harshness of the SP parts.

Can i ask what your goal is? What/where is "someplace else"?
No worries if you choose to keep it to yourself..

I guess a place would work if you have a strong emotional tie to it, but for me, it has always been easier to have good expereinces if my goal was a person with whom I shared a strong tie of some kind.  I would put all of my focus on that person, and the whole OOBE would take care if itself.

I posted a response in this thread http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_obe_discussions/most_reliable_exit_technique-t29579.0.html

its a little ways down but the techniques I posted sound like a few things you could benefit from trying if you reach the sleep paralysis state and can actually open your eyes. Best advice I can give you is , dont be scared of it .. take it for the vividly bizarre and interesting experience that it is .. I believe its energy in our body preparing for some kind of exit and sometimes more gets surged through somehow and eventually I can take control of it and that energy becomes the body I move instead of the flesh and muscle.. It builds , sometimes noisily and shakily , sometimes not .. just stiff and paralyzed ... buzzing in only the parts I'm trying to move.. Then I use one of those techniques I mentioned to actually "get past" it for me.  Hope it helps! Peace and good luck!

PS: Don't be scared , its all harmless :) ((I find it fun to move the vibrations around when im in sleep paralysis.. its like a little game and its fun-- not to mention I think its very helpful for your body and when you wake up you can take what you've learned and apply it to maybe energy healing or something with a friend whos into it))
Loving yourself first is the most important step you must take before you can truly love someone else.

Feel free to ask me anything. I'll try to offer advice if I can.
