Hi there,

Im trying to AP since 7 months, without much success.
A ,,channel" told me a few days ago, that theres a ,,barrier"
that hinders me (protects me), but i am still able to project, its just harder for me.

Now tonight i dreamed that i met William Buhlman (! lol), with 3 dogs, and
all of his dogs pulled in one direction (i was with my dog too).  I then woke
up from the dream in another dream, where i was at a party (my mum was there!)
and Buhlman was also there, but without dogs. I told him about my dream and he then
came to me and said thats interesting, because that means im now ready to AP.
Because my whole physical situation and my relationship to my girlfriend are included
in this decision, and they are now stable enough.

What a weird dream, i hope its not just a brain fantasy product :-))
What do you think?

i like that explanation :)

QuoteYes, this was an interesting dream, and I do believe you are being shown that your abilities to OBE and AP are going to be increasing and getting more exciting!  The fact that Buhlman was in them to me signals that it's related to the AP, and the dream dictionary I use indicates a move toward new abilities:
Dog
To see a dog in your dream, symbolizes intuition, loyalty, generosity, protection, and fidelity. The dream suggests that your strong values and good intentions will enable you to go forward in the world and bring you success. Alternatively, it indicates a skill that you have ignored or forgotten.

With Buhlman having 3 dogs, you with one, shows me his 'stronger' abilities and more success at this time, while you are starting out with your one dog.

Seems like this was really only a dream.

After 7 months of trying without any success, i official give up.
Its just too frustrating...still gonna visit this board sometimes.

Panthau,

I think that the dream actually did have some meaning. It seems to me that your body and soul are doing some sort of rewiring in preparation for your first OBE. My suggestion is that you do not give up.

I have said this to several people now who have told me that they are giving up so think about this one thing. You are going to sleep every day/night anyway, right? You are going to end up thinking about astral projection all the time, and in the long run always wonder about it. I have no idea how old you are, but you have the rest of your life to accomplish this goal and you have not lost anything by trying. Don't get frustrated by no success, just add attempts into you daily routine like you would brushing your teeth and eventually you will be surprised one day when it happens.

There is a favorite TNG episode of mine and a quote stands out:

Lt. Cmdr. Data states:
Quote
I have asked myself that many times, as I have struggled to be more human. Until I realized it is the struggle itself that is most important. We must strive to be more than we are, Lal. It does not matter that we will never reach our ultimate goal. The effort yields its own rewards.

You have nothing to lose by trying and everything to lose by not trying.

Let me know if you need any support, I am here.

Best regards

David

Hi dbmathis,

Thanks for your answer and your motivating words!

Its just that im totaly frustrated atm. I think i have to go through that first...maybe
then im more "ready" then now. I feel like a little child that doesnt get what it desires,
and by reading about people that try it twice and are successful, im even more frustrated...lol

Anyway...theres no other way then to go on. Whatever that means!

Thanks again,
Pan

You have your whole life to practice AP.
Why give up after 7 months.....Dedication is key.

I dont know how you "try", but for me its a lot of energy im putting in by writing down
every night what i desire, by concentrating every night on my desire and because of that
sometimes do not often enough get enough sleep. All that thinking of AP, how i could make it better,
read and write in boards, and besides all that i only get frustrated.
Maybe thats exactly the problem, and i should "let go"...im just too impatient.

Hey there Panth, good topic it covers what ALOT of people feel and go through. It is hard, I've been trying for roughly a year and a half and I KNOW it can p!ss you off when you dedicate yourself for so long and get nothing in return.

I believe it's a learning process and some learn quicker than others, its taking me forever it seems and I try every night! Sometimes I feel the same as you, just get tired of it but when I hear or read about other people's experiences it makes me think of how amazing it'll be when I can do it.

As for the dream I'd say it's a clear indication that you're almost ready. I had my first flying dream a couple months ago and it was great, to me that felt linked to my AP practice and gave me the determination to keep at it and since then I, personally think I've been getting closer every night and it made me realise there is no rush, we're ready when we're ready. Just let it happen.

Good luck to ya anyway and keep us posted.

Hi y'all and hi pan
first of all am new to this forum.
pan you know what ya dream means because its your dream so its your interpretation.
i m almost 21 and av been trying obe since i was 16 without success thats five years man.
but am not down are dishearted i just keep trying then about 6 month ago i kept having resemblances of an  obe.
i just realised tho today pan that its not about wanting to fly thru walls or to the moon.that aint a good reason to wamt to obe.good reasons are personal health and develpoing spiritualitie but during our struggle to exit we forget bout the basic and start fantasiing about wanting to fly thru objects n do stuff that you see in them superheroe movies
obe doesnt change you.you have to change to have an obe.
eat healthy and lead a good lifestyle and respect the ppl around you.
then as a reward you'll have an obe and realise that obe is good but its not the most important the most important is you got your life on track and well
sorry for bad grammar and stuff am in a hurry n tired lol

Hehe my intention was never to be able to fly or go through walls. I must admit,
it sounds exciting and funny, but the only thing i ever wanted is to grow my awarenes
of whats "really" going on behind the scene...higher self, the mechanics behind it, and the
real reason why were here and doing what we´re doing. Im just endless curious.

Im meditating every day for 1h since 8 months with an entrainment system, which changed and
changes my life in various, positive ways - i think thats one step closer to AP, as u mentioned.

Thanks for your positive replys guys!

EscapeVelocity

Panthau,

I think that you are closer than you realise. It may have been "just a dream" but don't discount its significance. Your dream was clearly OBE related and indicates that your subconscious is working on and re-evaluating physical/astral reality relationships. On a conscious level, you may think that you've already settled this issue, but on a deeper level you're still "coming to grips" with the concept.  Just as dbmathis said, you may be doing some "re-wiring". I've noticed the same thing in my own practice.

Remember, even your dreams are taking place on an "astral" level. They may seem low-level and inconsequential at the time, but in fact are necessary groundwork for the road ahead.

And it's perfectly allright to take a break for a couple weeks and not pursue anything "astral", even preferable. Forget about it completely; do other things totally unrelated. That gives your subconscious time to digest what its learned and assimilate.

Then, don't be surprised if something unexpected may happen, without your "willing" it.

Life works that way on many levels.

Don't rush it, this can take some time. The rewards are well worth the effort!

Best of luck, EV.
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.

Fourthdimension: I think i have the biggest collection of binaural beats
on this planet lol. I tried them all, though they didnt helped a bit so far :-/
Maybe the problem is also that i need to think too much while listening, because
english is not my native language.

EscapeVelocity: Thanks a lot, that makes sense to me! The more i read it, the more i believe it lol.
I cant give up totaly anyway. I "need" to find out whats behind the scenes, its like my life is planned to
do that. Its just the frustration...but of course also the frustration makes sense and maybe gives me
a little break (im doint the things i do sometimes a bit too "dedicated").

Didnt expected you guys to be so positive here, i like that :)

Pan

Stookie

I like EscapeVelocity's advice. Frustration doesn't help at all, and when you're trying to learn, it's easy to get frustrated.

For me, astral projection has increased my enjoyment for physical, daily life. And it makes me realize that while it may seem AP is important for finding out what's behind the scenes, the physical world is just as important. Point being: it's absolutely OK to take a break when things get frustrating and dive into physical life. I find that during times like this, thoughts & dreams tend to direct their own way back to AP at a certain point.
