OBE Titled "Long Time in Flight"

Hallo to everyone in AstralPulse 
It has been several weeks since I have posted here. Please forgive this oversight as I have been busy with 'other' activities. Anyway, this OBE is over 2 months old yet I have not posted it here as yet.


Out of Body Experience (# 83) titled "Long Time in Flight"
Sunday March 15, 2009
   A true Astral Projection as opposed to a Real Time Zone Ethereal Projection. This experience was all about flight. It consisted mostly of a grand aerial tour of a non-physical counterpart of the city of Pittsburgh - a BST where I had been before many years ago.
   It began at night on a dark street somewhere on Pittsburgh's North Side. Just to be safe I flew up about 50 to 60 feet (to about treetop height). Then I flew over a road uphill and noticed several people in the woods. Suddenly the night gave way to bright sunshine.
   Soon I was flying over the Allegheny River near downtown Pittsburgh. I became aware of being out of body while in flight. I flew over the downtown area on a warm sunny afternoon. (It was actually still night, between 5:30 and 6:30 AM in the physical). I flew over PNC Park (or Heinz Field) as crews prepared for an upcoming concert. The CSNY (Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young) song "Long Time" could clearly be heard. Then I flew over a bridge and went over the Monongehela River.
   People were everywhere, in cars and on foot, doing all types of activities. These were not physical people but were discarnates, probably most of them were dreamers.
   Finally I flew over an area that was both an outdoor shopping mall and an office-industrial park. Somehow I ended up inside a store. Eventually I managed to get outside again by going through a window and then tried to fly straight up to the top of a tall office building. Several people saw me do this and most laughed at my efforts though a few of them did try a flight of their own. A short time later I was back in the physical in bed.
   Notes. The time was between 5:30 - 6:30 AM. Duration of OBE was about 40 to 60 minutes. I lay on the left side.   OBE # 83 Locale was a BST (Belief Systems Territory). Familiar Location Yes. There were No Familiar Persons or Beings. There were many unfamiliar (discarnate) people (and a few animal discarnates too). Emotional,  Flight,  Floated,  Meditation (earlier that night including the Rope OBE induction),  Music,  Pranayama, Travel-teleportation.

As always thanx to all of you who read this report. If anyone has a comment, a (bright) idea (or even a criticism) then please post your reply.

You live in pittsburgh? (I just don't want to assume) I'm originally from pittsburgh too, lived part of my childhood in Swissvale, also in squirrel hill for a bit. That's where most of my family are from =-) Great city, culture, and restaurants. Right now I live in Indiana though (the state). I've been here for years but even still I think I suffer from culture shock. That's amazing though, small world. Since you are familiar with pittsburgh, perhaps we can astrally meet up at the point heh. Anyway thanks for sharing sounds like fun.

I'd never considered an entire modern city being a BST, but the way modern city life is, it make total sense.

T.L. - an interesting idea about meeting up astrally. If you're serious then you can name any time and location to meet out of body. Astral experiments are always interesting. I've yet to have any great success but it could happen!

Yeah there always seem to be obstacles, one person gets out the other doesn't, or you both get out and the original idea doesn't seem so important anymore...etc. One of the hardest things is to find a time that works for both people. Im actually about to make an attempt now but my daughter is napping too and she might wake up soon. The best time for me is when I get home from work today but that is not till about 3:30 am or so. Otherwise if that doesn't work for you then I'll have to wait till there is a day my wife is off work and I can make an afternoon attempt. Let me know.

Anyway, any time that is convenient to you is fine with me. I do not have a family and therefore will leave it to you to chose a time most convenient for this 'experiment".

Hey Greytraveller... always enjoy reading your experiences. Just curious... what do you mean by they were not physical people, but discarnates? Was their a visual difference in their appearance or is this based on intuition?

Many of the people in my OBE could see me and a few interacted with me. This would not have been possible had they been physical. None of these people seemed the least bit surprised that I was flying about, again impossible had they been physical. And finally, near the end of my OBE several of these people actually flew into the sky themselves.) Also the time was wrong because it was bright daylight in the OBE and physically it was before dawn (5:30 to 6:30 AM). So all this information makes me strongly believe that everybody was discarnate (= non-physical) and most of them were probably dreaming.

Say, were some of these discarnates actually 'Dead People'? 
As best to your knowledge anyways?

Once again I apologize for not answering your most recent post on this thread sooner.
Anyway I will attempt an OBE tonight and on each of the three following nights (Friday, saturday and Sunday nights).
If I do succeed in going out of body then I will try to visit all the well known landmarks of Pittsburgh (Heinz Field, PNC Park, the Civic Arena and the park at the Point (meeting of the three rivers.)

Some of the people that i saw during the OBE May have been dead. I simply have no way of knowing without asking them directly. My intuition was the most, or all, of them were temporarily OOB during dreams.

I put an attempt in early this morning but it was 7 am and I was awake almost 24 hours so it ended with me falling asleep in the vibrations. I was lowering myself and waiting for the "automatic separation" to take place, and I lowered myself too far apparently. Will try tonight, but I do not get home until around 4 - 4:30 am from work.

Gave an attempt at 10:05 pm since I had an hour left before I had to leave at work. Was hit by strong vibrations within 15 minutes, multiple times they started to fade without any other pre-cursors. So I went about going deeper, learning from last night I didn't want to go too deep so I stayed right where they vibrations were the strongest. They faded out again. It only felt like I was 25 minutes into the attempt but I thought I might look at the clock and it was 11:10. It felt as thought only at the most 30 minutes had passed. From the 30 minute period to 11:10 I felt as though absolutely no time had passed. It was an odd thing because the entire time I was conscious. Just got home from work and it is 4:38. So after I eat Im going to make another attempt. Short of work I have the next 8 days grey to make a lot of attempts as my wife is on vacation from work. Lately Ive been in a dry spell so I might need to start changing my approach again.

Gave an attempt around 5 AM. Had the vibrations, was really close.. this time passed out. However the closer I get the more vivid dreams become and I had a very interesting dream. I dreamt that across the country (in the united states) that people were getting held up and mugged at gun point. The muggings were racially motivated, and white people were being targeted whenever they ventured too far away from their homes. So many people were being mugged that it escalated into an all out war, a race war.

Ps. I don't mean to offend anyone this was just my dream.

Put in an attempt this morning. I passed out but awoke in the vibrations. I went with the vibrations, once they got to their peak I felt like I do once every few exits. The vibrations go from pulsating to steady, then the steady vibrations turns into a steady stream of extreme motion. It's like riding a roller coaster. I found myself in the middle of a bridge. Confused for a few seconds as to where the heck I ended up I flew up to get a better view. I realized I was at the golden gate bridge. I flew across it as fast as I could and maintain a clear view of everything. I came upon a few interesting buildings. One was a church called ________ revival church. For the life of me I can't remember the first part of the name. I eventually flew up to the roof tops to look down and I noticed 2 other people flying around. They didn't take notice to me, but it is the first time I can remember seeing others flying around like I was.  It was a very long projection, I just don't have the time now to type it all out. Once I realized I ended up in San Francisco I forgot completely the idea of going to the pittsburgh point. It was an interesting experience.

Thanx for your continued effort. And congrats on the OBE. Have you been to San Fransisco before? (I'm wondering why you went there, especially if there was no emotional tie.)

Anyway, I did make deliberate efforts to go out of body during this past weekend. Unfortunately I did not have an OBE. I did, however, have one or two dreams of various locations in Pittsburgh, including my old high school - Peabody H.S.
Nearly had an OBE on Monday night but someone or something seemed to be preventing me from separating. I was mind awake, body asleep and in sleep paralyses. But I felt a distinct presence and it definately felt to me as if this being did not want me to separate.

And so I will continue my efforts to manifest an OBE every night, at least through the upcoming weekend, and will post in this thread again soon.

Nope never been there, which is why I was so confused as to why I ended up there. If it wasn't for the golden gate bridge I wouldn't even know where I was. It happens to me a lot though, one in every 2 or 3 exits. Sometimes I'll separate I'll be in my room, or sometimes I'll just be elsewhere. A lot of the times it's places I've never been. I can usually tell when this happens though by the sensations I experience before hand. When I end up at the random locations before I separate the vibrations go from pulsating to steady, then a feeling of steady extreme motion is felt like riding down a large hill in a roller coaster.

Okay, another week has gone by. Still no success with projecting. I need to be more serious (and constant) in my efforts and this is something that I am prepared to do. The upshot is that I will continue to attempt to go OOB (at least for the few days) and will post any OBE here in this thread.

T.L. Guess what? I had an OBE early Sunday morning (around 3 or 4 AM)!
I will post the OBE in full in a day or so.
Please do not confuse this latest OBE with the one that I just posted on a new thread. That OBE took place in mid-May.

Now, wouldn't you know it -- most of my OBEs take place in this local area. But this latest one started when I came to consciousness in an unfamiliar room in what I believe was New Orleans.!
The entire experience was dark and confusing, and rather short as well.
Yes I did live in New Orleans (for about 3 years). But I haven't been back there in nearly 2 years and was not thinking about it much recently.
Maybe some kind of cosmic joker was having a good laugh.  In any case at no time during the OBE did I get (back) to Pittsburgh.

It happens man. Usually half of my exits this happens it's sort of funny when you look back on it. When I ended up on the golden gate bridge I was confused as to why I ended up there of all places. The past few days I haven't gotten out which sucks. I've been experimenting with the hypnagogic stage. Fading images in and out waiting for the vibrations to kick in. However lately I end up passing out because I work 3rd shift. Anyway I will read your experience when you post it. Good luck.

I finally posted that OBE. It is somewhere on this forum.

btw you might want to experiment with the hypnagogic state when you wake up. That stage of hypnagogia is called the hypnopompic state. It might be more rewarding as you will be less inclined to fall asleep so easily.

Yeah I know I do that as well. Sometimes upon waking up I move, but even then I remember to lay still and make an attempt. Sometimes its not an option because my wife wakes me up and she wont leave me alone until Im up and moving. Which can be really annoying. Oh also I had a new obe I posted on the main forum but it's already buried and no one replied in it. But in the experience I ended up in the past which is something that (to my knowledge) hasn't happened to me before. I estimate I ended back up in 1996 based upon the age of my friends I saw, also the events that were taking place.
