Yeah, I sorta see the future. It's more like deja vu though. I'll have an ordinary dream with all the usual random stuff and not really remember it, just tuck it away in the back of my head with all the others. Then, days, weeks, or even months later, I'll be doing something and all of a sudden WHAM I remember "I dreamed this." It'll be maybe a five to fifteen second sequence of events that I KNOW I dreamed of earlier. I haven't been getting it as often lately, but a year ago I got it at least once every two weeks.

kakkarot

i have had a vision of a possible future. i hope it never comes to pass though.

yeah, I had a similar experience to panabelle. I was playing table football in a bar three days ago and I suddenly remembered that I dreamed of a space shuttle crashing, it was quite a distessing dream. Anyway I went home and checked my dream diarys and i had this dream about a month before the crash. It really hit me hard because its the kind of thing that makes you think. you know?

Yep I get this too, I get this so often I laugh when It comes... and while I am laughing I remember that I laughed while remembering that I laughed and I laugh again while remembering again etc......

It's almost like looking into a mirror looking into a mirror etc... like the mind split which Robert Bruce describes.

Are they really past dreams?  I used to think so but i'm not so sure anymore.

Squeek

I rarely dream... Saddening

Whenever i do dream, it's something completely far off..On Christmas Eve 7 years ago, i dreamt that I was on this spaceship looking for the evil guy i had to kill, then the ship turned into a giant blue octopus!  Hehe...Odd.  Anyway, 5 years later, i had that one again.  You're not telling me that's gonna happen are you?  lol.

Any recent dream I've had (i think maybe 2 in a month or so) was totally non-realistic, although i can dream in color.  Don't think anything about that is special in any way tho.

Epsilon

Squeek, you actually dream every night, you just never remember them... =)  I used to have the same problem, but lately I've been able to remember more.

Squeek

i heard that somewhere else before...can't really remember where.  I can actually remember every dream I remembered when i woke up.  Like when a band of murderous theives rolled me into a carpet then sliced it into thousands of peices, or the time the giant bird swooped down and dropped my into the atlantic. Or the time i woke up, took a shower, got on the bus, then really woke up.  (That was a fun one!)

Squeek

Well..speaking of dreams, mine are getting weirder and more realistic.  Last night, I dreamt i was shovelling snow after this huge snowstorm we had, and then shortly after, my package was delivered (preorder of the new Zelda game).  Well, too realistic for me, since i shoveled snow today  :).   can't wait for that package...

watever...

well, actually epsilon, some people really don't dream. it's not that they don't remember their dreams, they just don't dream. it's not very common, but there are still a few that it happens to.

naturechick89

yes kakkarot is right,
my friend matt took medicatin when he was like 5 for something and he hasnt had dreams since then.

KP

How do you know wether you had a dream and didn't remember it or wether you didn't dream at all if you can't remember it?

Better question, who cares? lol

naturechick89

im not sure but i think i remember him saying something about having tests done to see if he dreams?

Epsilon

Ok, there might be a few exceptions, but naturally we dream every night.  You might not remember them, but if you went a lab and had them hook you up to some brainwave machines, they can show you going through the different phases of sleep and when you start dreaming.  If you get very little sleep, you will probably not dream because it usually takes a couple hours to reach the relaxation point where the mind can let go and start dreaming.  So lack of sleep and medication are two ways what will prohibit you from dreaming everynight... both unnatural. [;)]

kakkarot

actually i read it was only about 45 minutes(?) of sleep before dreams begin.

but anyway, back to the future -> the topic at hand [;)].

Hehe, sorry for getting off-topic.

I've noticed over the past couple years that the length of my deja-vus are getting longer.  Not more frequent, but the amount of time that I think seems familiar is longer.  It used to be just a second or a couple words that gave me deja-vu, but now it's long enough that I have time to think what's going to happen next.  It's pretty cool, I wish I would have them more frequently.

lateralus897

Epsilon, same here. Except additionally to the longer length of them, I'm also getting more deja-vu's. They're usually anywhere from 10-30seconds now. Very weird experiences. I have the time to try to think what happens next, and sometimes I know, sometimes I don't. I don't know though, deja-vu's are pretty complicated, so i'm not sure what to think of em. I just like to see them as some sort of connection with the spiritual world somehow.

psymike323

wow soo many ppl responed to my post and i had more dreams that inculde the furture that i like a lot![:D]

cainam_nazier

I don't dream often.  I know when I don't dream and when I do, it feels different.

When you don't dream you just kinda go to bed and wake up later.  There is a complete and total lack of anything.  It also tends to feel like very little time has passed at all, even though you were asleep for hours, it really only feels like 5 mins.

Squeek

Sorry if this sounds like the Kingdom Hearts intro, but lately I've been having these really weird dreams...

I told you before that my dreams were getting way too literal, and that I don't have them that often.  Well, this week alone, I've had the same dream 3 times.  The outcome of the dream has also changed.  I have no idea what it means, and do not recognzie any faces in it except for mine.

Basically, in the dream, I'm online at about 1:30, like i actually always am.  I hear something downstairs at the garage door, and figure it's my sister arriving home from babysitting.  As I go downstairs, it get obvious that this isn't her, and it isn't after all.  A guy breaks into the house, but cannot see me, as I am hidden in the shadows in the house.  He then walks past me and goes back outside to his car with something in his arms. I can't ever make out what it is, but here's what happened next in the 3 scenarios.

1)  Then, as this strange man is outside, I slowly make my way back to my room upstairs.  As I am halfway up the stairs, he spots me, so I run.  There are only 5 rooms upstairs, and he eventually finds me.  He then ties me up and leaves me in the room. I woke up then.

2)  The stranger is outside, so I figure I should find a better place to hide than behind the closet door.  I start to make my way downstairs to find a better hiding place, but he sees the back of my foot as I am on the last step turning left to enter the den.  He follows after me, and upon finding me, he decides to take me as a hostage back to his car.  I woke up then.

3)  As the stranger passes by my hiding spot, I stand up to him and begin to attack him.  I punched him a good 10 times before He ran out the front door, back outside to his car.  I stood there in the doorway wondering how I just did that to a guy twice my size, and watched him drive away.  This is where i woke up.

I just thought it was totally strange to have this dream 3 times.  If there are any dream interpreters out there, can you help me out?

If i have the dream again, I will post any changes that are made

~Squeek

lateralus897

Well, I'm not that great at interpreting dreams, but I have a general idea of what it could mean. I have my analyzation skills from english class when analyzing works of literature, and I use them for my own life and my dreams.

But anyways, I think your dream is just to show you that hiding from your problems wont get you anywhere, and will just leave you all tied up [;)]. When you stand up and confront your problems, you will have better results. Maybe you have a big problem you're trying to deal with right now in your life, and this dream may be trying to teach you a lesson.

psymike323

hey it doesn't sound kingdom hearts at all! plus kingdom hearts is a good game. but lets not get off topic here

Shawn McCaffrey

Make a stand, bravely even  if it seems bigger than you, and you will comeout on top.
