Hey, people

I've discovered these forums a year later and I've been in touch with new posts, etc.
Since I found these forums, I've been trying to project, with no success.
Well, I'm Christian and it seems that in this religion it is forbidden to project, and if someone do so, will be punished after death. I don't understand this, as God gave us the power of having OBEs, why can't we do it? It is also forbidden to contact with the dead people.

Is is really true?
I would like to project, and go on with my spiritual life.

Please give me answers

Cheers

No, it's not true.
Christianity does not forbid projection, and the idea that it's forbidden is embraced by some christian sects, and has no basis in Scripture.

Before you ask, here's a thread in which I said something similar:

Oh, thank you mate.

Another question. (which is off topic)
They say that people who listen to heavy metal music are from lower levels. How that can judge a person? I listen to that and I'm quite a peaceful person.

Depends on the heavy metal.
There's heavy metal that speaks of despair and hate, and there's heavy metal that speaks of the connection of the universe, and the feeling that things need to get better.
So it would depend on what kind of heavy metal you listen to.
To say that a certain kind of music is "this" or "that" is a kind of prejudice, and most of the time those who say things like that don't listen to the music they're talking about, and they paint a whole genre with this very wide brush.

Yes, if you're attracted to suicide music chances are you're depressed, if you listen to happy music chances are you're joyful, etc- but the judgement implied in the quoted words indicate something else is going on.

Beware any person or group that makes blanket statements about anything.

Any music that makes *YOU* feel warm and happy will only do good things.

There was a time in some areas where ANY music that wasn't gospel was the Devil's music. If you were making music that wasn't praising the lord, it was satanic. Even country & bluegrass!

Then KISS became the devil's music. If you listen to it now, it's hilarious that it could scare people.

I'm a fan of Slayer and Iron Maiden.     I think the key is to listen to music objectively and not buy into the image. Bruce Dickinson (of Iron Maiden) says everywhere in the world there are young people fed up with society and just want to scream, and they are there to provide the soundtrack. There's nothing wrong with releasing frustrations though music.

I think the fundamental issue here is that people who listen to what others say generally listen to what other people say. People need to learn to think for themselves or what ends up happening is that they just adopt another person or group's opinion instead of forming their own.

For example a person is born into christianity and excepts it because that's what they were told. One day something catches there eye but it doesn't fit into the belief system they are in (the belief system that someone else came up with). They soon realize that they must find a new belief system so they start searching for yet another belief system that someone else thought up.

I think it's OK to learn from cookie cutter belief systems but a bad idea to adopt such a belief system if you are seriously looking for answers.. Not to say nothing is gained by following a premade belief because good does come from them.

That's how I feel.  I think, for me, it's about the music and the way the musicians use their voices.  I have a very eclectic taste, from Roy Orbison to Marilyn Manson. :D
