I've been keeping an eye on these forums for quite some time and never really signed up but last night's experience sorta freaked me out. Before I start on last night's, I'll give you some background. I've had a few unintentional obe's before but nothing huge most of them I get out and get sent back to the physical right away. Although in the last couple of months I've been getting more and more and they seem to be lasting longer. (By longer I mean I can get out and walk around for a short amount of time.) I had an experience a couple of weeks ago where I started to float out and as soon as I could see, a black shape was hovering over the foot of my bed and it scared me back into my body.

Alright, so last night's experience started with a dream where I was walking with two or three other people in the woods. We arrived at a old wooden bridge and they were walking ahead of me when suddently everything went black. This is where I became conscious and I was on my hands and knees trying to feel for the edge of the bridge so I wouldn't fall off. Next thing I know I'm floating towards my ceiling. I felt for the roof and then I gained vision. I got excited and pushed off the wall and floated out of my room into the hallway. I did the same untill I reached my back door and I decided to go outside. It was night time and I looked into my backyard and my truck was park on the lawn beside my fence. Then I looked into my driveway confused and saw it was parked there. I looked back to the backyard and it wasn't there. For some reason now that fence caught my attention and I wanted to jump over it. (It's about a seven foot tall wooden fence). So I started to run for the fence getting ready to jump. I was thinking in my head if I don't make it and hit the fence it won't matter because I'm not in the physical, when a really loud voice came from behind me. It was a whisper of sorts but in a devilish tone and it whisper/screamed "WHY!?" or it might have been "BYE!". Next thing I know I'm back in my bed reaching for the lamp and it wouldn't turn on and then I woke up for real. This experience kind of freaked me out and bewildered me because I'm not sure which one it said.

Do not lend yourself to FEAR...

If I find myself in fear I practice presence, openness, awareness & LOVE

I have had some really scary situations present themselves especially in Dreams.. Lucid & non Lucid. Whether AP/LD or waking life I attempt to release the fear and move on to the above conditions quickly. If the fear returns I practice these again.

In waking life it will usually be easier to remove fear & choose love, openess, presence & awareness than in an astral type environment.
While awake I am constantly practicing to embody what I seek to be like (ie. the above conditions).

What you focus on is your choice in every moment.
If you are not consciously choosing then you need to practice awareness first.

Over my years I have decided that I will not consciously give energy to fear & only use the awareness of fear as an indicator that something about the situation needs to change (typically physical reality).

Hope this helps

Alright I'll keep that in mind. I think the latter had more to do with being startled as it was only my second or third time I actually got completely out I wasn't expecting anything like that. My focus was on that fence lol. But your advice with fear should definatly be helpful with situations in the futur. Thanks!

T.L.

I had an experience where I was in the perfect state for projection, only a few minutes after laying down. It was going like clock work and I was seeing through my eyelids. It fades, then I feel the subtle movement and my vision comes back. I am standing next to my body saying yes finally I'm projecting in the here and now. I was happy because the other projections around that time were of the type where I just end up in random locations (where and when?). So I make about one step when to my right side I hear the most horrifying blood curdling scream like someone was screaming for their life. That jarred me right back to my body instantly.  It took a day or two just for me to get that scream out of my head. Luckily for me things like that do not happen often enough to worry about. Possibly it was a non physical person or perhaps from across the way because there is an apartment complex across from my town house which really sucks because that apartment complex has all types of people, and every other day I hear a woman screaming at her boyfriend. Physical sounds seems crazy loud while out so it could of just been her. Either way I was ticked because I never know when a projection will end me up in the here and now, when it does it's valuable time for me to do things that pertain to my physical life. Oh well.
