Don't be A Technique Pimp

Back in the day I use to go from one technique to the next...usually after just one or two weeks.  Nothing would happen, i was so impatient and would quickly search for the 'next best thing'  :-D i thought i was the hot stuff caz I knew all the techniques around.  all that locomotion and no results.  Please dont get caught up in that pimp wave.  It feels like you're getting somewhere but its all an illusion.

One day i actually saw myself jumping around and ordered myself to stop.  I realized the subconscious needs 'time' to digest any new method.  Changing, going back and forth from one method to another will only confuse the system.  The technique doesn't REALLY matter.  Its the state of receptivity that comes as a result of repeating the same method over-and over for some time.  In reality, they're all arrows pointing to the same thing.  So my advice to any newbie pimps around stick to one method for at least 50 days, digest it.  Sleep with it, love it, be loyal to it for a month and half (preferably 90 days).  Write the results and if nothing happens worth your while, find a new one.  But my guess is you WILL have some results within 50 days if you genuinely give it a chance.  Therefore, look before you leap, then leap and dont look back.

This is good advice I think. It's always very tempting to move on to another technique in the hope of finding the one which works every time. But as you pointed out, it's the intention, anticipation and timing which are crucial to success, rather than just the technique itself.

Right, the technique itself is just a tool to help move your mind and body into the correct state of consciousness needed for astral projection. That state of consciousness is what's most important, and if you've never experienced it, it's easy to blame it on your current technique, when that might not be the case. As you become more successful and familiar in achieving it, you realize that you can change and create techniques to fit your liking.

 you're right. i initially thought 'technique ***' but this one sounds a bit more clean...not really but a little. who cares! you guys know what i mean.  :-D

i think this is the biggest hindrance in an ap attempt (or anything in life for that matter).  its hard being loyal to something when you don't see results right away, but in the end its worth the wait.

Are we allowed to use swear words on here!? I swear once I put B.i.t.c.h on here it somehow miraculously converted to a tamer alternative of the word.

Don't mind me, I'm just strangely astonished. I think I'm too tired...

just testing...slut, slut

William Buhlman said something similar in his first book I think, that if you have success with a technique not to try other techniques.  Would you all agree with this?

CFTraveler

No.
We are not machines that only work 'one' way.  I used to use different techs than I do now, because since the time I started inducing my projections, I have changed and grown.  The idea that your symptoms stay the same and nothing changes is not correct, and you will find this out soon enough.
