There seem to be quite a few distinguished scientists who beg to differ.

At least a few of those people on the list have been discredited- Nancy Lieder, who is first on the list, had a large following, and made public announcements that planetX would come in 1999, then changed to 2001, then changed it again to 2003. When it never came, she made a list ditch attempt, and moved the date to 2012. 

Zacharia Sitchin's translations of Sumerian language, which is what he based his PlanetX theory on, has recently been shown to be largely incorrect.

Others in the list show genuine scientific interest in PlanetX, but only from an academic angle, not as a doomsday prophecy.

Well then there must not be a planet X. But the name of the post is, What is supposed to happen, not is there a planet X.

Although, in a previous post I said I believe nothing will happen. I have been spending a considerable amount of time in the past couple of weeks researching 2012. Before this i never really spent enough time researching it to make an informed opinion.

After watching all of the Project Camelot interviews and reading various books and websites on the subject my opinion is that something WILL happen.

My Predictions: (which are subject to change)

1. We will be allowed access to the 4th dimension (density) or etheric plane if are spiritually aware and have positive energy.

2. Contact from extraterestrials via UFO landings.

3. Natural Disasters

4. Naturally occurring wormholes interacting with certain technology to produce Natural Disasters.

5. Nothing

Nope, there may well be a planet X  (I feel like such a contrarian right now). My arguement was against using the claims of people like Lieder and Sitchin as evidence of the endtimes, that is all.

1) In the 2012 Summer olympics, the U.S. will win 42 gold metals

2) Aretha Franklin and Destiny's child will merge and from a band called "Soul Sister"

3) A cure for Aids will be found, but you will need to buy it from Canada

4) There will be a big earthquake...  in the Pacific

5) There will be a big earthquake...  in the Middle-east

6) Gasoline will hit $8.50 a gallon

7) There will begin to be a general shift in the distribution of where people live vs where they work and and go for their goods and    services

8 ) The first Asian president will be elected in the U.S.

9) There will be an epidemic in China, and lots of people will wear masks

10) A full-length, live-action Hollywood movie will be made about the care bears, and it will be the biggest blockbuster of all time

11) People will return to the moon

12) Michael Jackson will be ressurected, only to die the next day

13) The Pope will deny Michael Jackson was the second coming

14) Apple will release the iMindgame, which is an iPod you can hear only in your head

15) Steely Dan will have their 40th anniversary tour, and release another record

16) China will develop the F-bomb, which is powerful enough to destroy the earth, and the sun

17) Mormonism will overtake Judaism as the state religion of Israel

18) A prominent celebrity will die

19) A sub-atomic particle smaller than the quark will be found, and the world will realize that matter is made of legos on its most basic level

20) Computers will become conscious, but no one will figure it out

My son took a teddy bear he had, put a sock on it's face with the holes cut out and called it "Burglary Bear".

I hope that something will happen in 2012 that will mark the start of an accelerated positive shift in global consciousness towards less selfishness and greed. 

Then again, hoping for something like that seems childish. A shift in consciousness will probably occur gradually. The development of technology that solves the food/power/pollution problems should help, but technology alone won't solve all the deeply rooted human nature problems. And we are running out of time.

Or maybe this planet is just simply stuffed and when we finally leave here in the bright light of an asteroid impact we hopefully take some lessons with us about how NOT to do it...

Perhaps nothing atall will happen, and people will realise that there is no end of the world, or conciousness shifting, or anything else that is expected....and they will realise that we are stuck here and have to make the best of it, causing the shift in consciousness we need.

I beleive that the earth will go through a physiological change. shifting, and changing. theres already proof of this. drought, flooding. I know where im at it rains more then it ever has since ive lived here. and ive ben here for 20 and up years. this is causing moss to grow in places it shouldnt, and bugs/insects etc to thrive and grow bigger. I also beleive that war is in the future, we will be in a battle for survival. wether it be with our selfs or nature. it could be a world war etc. I also have a feeling that aliens etc will come forth. wether it be for war, help or to take over. to me, atlantis was like us. advanced,power hungry and all of the above. the earth went through a change and eliminated most life on earth(just theory). then we started all over again, but evolved in a diffrent way. only time will tell, but theres patterns all over the place. 2012 will not be just some changing of energy but a catastrophive event. imo of course.

Ok i have heard three days of total darkness many will die from fear alone.
Also the center of the earth will turn to liquid and the crust will move freely so be prepared to end up
in a totaly different part of the world. A global shift in consiusness putting us all in unity
consiousness. Those who are not ready will die or be transported to another 3 dimensional world.

Why divide it by race/country? I think if something spiritual happened, it'd be individual to each person, and if it was some kind of physical thing (like a large-enough meteor) race or country wouldn't matter, except for geography, it seems to me.

You are forgetting a more obvious possibility. The spin of the Earth does not stop but instead slows down making night last for 3 days, so everyone on the Earth at some point experiences 3 days of night but the Earth keeps on spinning.

Don't know, depends on what shape the changes take. Do people gain abilities or do they simply become more aware of what is happening around them? Most people on the planet in my opinion walk around in a daze like zombies and are oblivious to what goes on around them, perhaps they start to wake up from their daydream.

According to the Mayan calender approximately every 5,000 years the earth enters an area of the galaxy which accelerates the vibrational frequency into the 4th dimension. The effect of this on humans will be activation of dormant DNA strands, a lighter physical body and increased mental and spiritual abilities.

Each of our DNA strands are said to vibrate at a particular rate, and so can be activated with particular frequencies. Therefore, new abilities we never had will suddenly emerge, and will vary according to the energy patterns we already hold. Yes it no doubt has to do with changes in vibration. From what i've read and seen it begins in October 2011 and rapidly increases until the apex at December 2012.
Perhaps the vibrational change isn't instant but gradually takes place over the year getting quicker and quicker the closer Dec 2012 approaches.

If abilities do start to manifest i wonder if there will be superheros and supervillains that will use there abilities for good and evil.

I think I will focus all my attention on developing telekinesis and the ability to levitate/fly.
