Silver cord

For those of you that have witnessed the silver cord, how would you describe what it looks like? If you've touched it, how would you describe what it felt like?

I've seen mine, but not on purpose. Seeing the cord freaks me out for some reason. My cord was pretty large, but I don't know where it was connected to my spirit/physical bodies. I just saw it there to my side.

No, I have never seen the Silver cord; I have only read about it. I hope it doesn't look like a snake. I am really terrified of snakes.

I've encountered it two or three times. Mostly it feels like a large noodle. No kidding. Very rubbery. Ive also inspected it closely and have seen it attached directly to my head and between my shoulder blades in my back. Most of the times it was directly connected to my head. It "felt" thick. When i've looked at it closely I once saw some type of hieroglyphic symbols on it. I would say it has been more "grey". I've traced it back to my physical body laying in bed also connected at the head.

Did you feel any fiberous, rooted, tendon-like structure where it connects into you?

I wonder if one could 'commit suicide' by attempting to cut it?  Hmmm...
Although, for some reason, I'm highly doubting that it could be cut by normal "non dying" circumstances.  LoL

See, we have an issue then.
I know "god" doesn't exist.  (<-- quantifying this quickly... personal belief)

So... that brings me back to my original question then?

I'm not saying true or false, but I do have doubts as to whether there is really a "silver cord". It may just be a conceptual image of connected consciousness through dimensions. That danged bible verse tends to be taken too literally.

Based upon my experiences the cord had only been there three to four experiences. To answer your question tr0798 yes it felt very much like a the roots of a tree but very fine fibers. I honestly think the "cord" is an influence on the subconscious by what we hear/read about it here in the physical.

Well maybe it is influenced by the physical to some extent, because I knew about the silver cord, but I never heard about the rooted features of it until I experienced it. In fact it was completely different from what I was expecting to feel. Maybe the silver cord is only there if you're looking for it?

I really don't think I could have come up with the same description as what everyone else seems to have come up with, on my own, without it being true in some way.

Maybe it's not real, maybe I was connecting up to some collective unconscious knowledge of ideas that other people came up with?

I think its very possible for it to be a creation of our subconcious minds put there to limit our experience. Many of my later experiences have no involved any kind of silver cord.
