Last night I had a successful obe. I soared through the roof of my loft into the star filled sky. I looked down and saw my little town below and whooshed through the stars at a pretty fast pace. I looked down again (to see how small my town had gotten) and became aware of my eyes.  I could see fine until I thought of them. It then was hard to tell if they had already been open or not. My eyelids grew heavy and when I tried to open them and see the town instead I felt my eyes seeing my bedroom then the obe stopped and turned into a dream.  How do I control my vision while astral? I have this problem often and it always brings me out of the experience.

Frustrated!  :|

For a while I was having a similar problem and was given an answer that is not simple- it made sense to me, so I hope it may make sense to you-
Your problem is in the transition from one focus/plane to another- if you are Remote Viewing, Astral Projecting or Etheric Projecting, you are switching (or going up the ladder to the next dimension/plane/whateveryoucallit- but your subtle body is not developed enough, and you are losing your perceptile senses (which would be your subtle body) and going back to physical.
So, you are going to have to identify 'how far' you're going, and what needs to be developed next, which may not be as easy as it sounds.

I just recently had my first concious Obe. I have been reading about them recently and although I have not tried to project through medication, I found the perfect oppurtunty last night when in a semi concious almost sleep paralized statE. I had a similar issue with seeing and I'd like to describe my experience.

I let my body go limp, most noticible were my facial muscles going dead so to speak. I allowed my other self to float out. I wanted to some how prove to myself that it was real by looking down at my body and so as I left my physical self, I begun to rotate and hover above my bed. When I looked down, what I saw was mostly a haze. I could see the shape of my body and the red color of my blanket but nothing sharp. I also felt I was starting to become self concious of my body again as If flickering between my concious self and
my astral body.

I'm convinced this wasn't a dream as I used intention to make it happen. I felt almost completely concious before trying it. I have always been a closet believer of his stuff. Since I have been very young, I have had th ability to read people in the non psychic sense. Like knowing how and what people are feeling and sensing the natural energy our bodies emmenate both casually, sexually, and otherwize.

I'd like to learn more and eventually work towards controllig my obe and achieving astral projection throuh mediation. If anyone has any advice and or feedback, I would greatly appreciate it.

One last comment: leaving my body felt pleasent but ironically not that different from what one would imagine feeling when freefalling, or loosing too much blood. Sorry to be morbid, but I understand how people have reservations about it.

I think what you mentioned about needing a destination first is key.

This is also my biggest problem so far. When I have astral blindness, which is pretty much everytime I achieve separation, I try so hard to open my eyes that I end up opening my real eyes ruining the projection.

As soon as I get out of my body I am accustomed to letting go of my single-minded focus that I needed to get out of the body.  It seems that if your subtle body isn't well developed yet then when you let your focus go out of the body your senses become fuzzy.  I mean you're not receiving normal sensory input so you don't really know how to interpret it.  So I've found that if I regain my focus and demand my vision it comes.

Also, I used a MindFold sometimes when I project so that even if I do open my eyes they are still in complete darkness and my mind doesn't quite grasp that the projection is over and its very easy to exit again right away.  Sometimes this is bad because then I forget some details of the earlier projection.  But for now, with my energy so low, I'm not having very meaningful projections anyway, kind of just flying around.  But I feel like at least having the OBE is raising my energy.
be awesome.

All of this feedback has been very informative. Thank you! It is going to take some time and focus on my part. I am, however, getting to be more aware of this problem as it arises. There are so many thoughts that rush to my mind when I succeed, it's difficult to for me to keep it all organized. I am enjoying learning about this immensely.
