what kind of astral realm am I experiencing?

Hello all, my name is cookie. I am from Toronto, Ontario Canada. I have been astral projecting since I was about 7 years old. I am not new to the astral world, but I have strange experiences, especially this one...

I came out of my body early morning while sleeping upstairs in the living room. I saw myself sleeping and my dog sleeping on the couch across from me. I went downstairs to the basement and saw my boyfriend playing with a 5 year old boy and automatically knew the boy was his son. (we have been dating for ten years and neither of us have children). They did not see me. I went into his bedroom and pulled him out of his body to astral project. He was in awe and happy to project since he never done it that far. I take his hand and guided him to me out of his bed saying to him, "it's okay, it's me." Before heading upstairs, he saw himself playing with his son too. When we got upstairs, we saw his roommate sitting in the living room watching TV with the dog. (In the physical world I was still sleeping remember? And so was the dog). We went outside, counted to 3 and started to lift off into the air to fly. I asked my boyfriend where he wanted to go. I told him to close his eyes and picture it and next thing you know, we were there. I think we were in San Francisco where the shops were. Then he transformed into a female. (I didn't realize this until I woke up later) Nobody saw us except for this one tiny black lady. She didn't say a word but thought we were 2 crazy girls. Anyway, we played tricks on the people moving tables and knocked over a bowl of change on the floor. I woke up and went about my day.

Later in the afternoon, I told my boyfriend and asked him if he remembered leaving his body and he said no. He had a blank dream and didn't remember anything. How can that be? I know I astral projected, but what about him? Can anyone justify what I just experienced? Did my boyfriend really did astral project or was that some kind of other realm of astral?

I would say that what you experienced WAS an OBE. You shared the OBE with your boyfriend yet he simply did NOT remember it. Not remembering being out of body probably happens to people nearly as much as remembering an OBE. I am sure that it has happened to me yet I can;t remember when  LOL.
Anyway from all that you posted I feel confident that it was an OBE.

Thanks Grey for your confidence in our OBE experience. I truly believe my boyfriend had an OBE and just can't remember. We will just have to work on that.

I think that you ap'd and had reality fluctuations.  The 'son' could be a 'future' son, or something he created in his dreams.  Chances are that he was asleep, and because of that he can't remember- his energy body had the experiences but he was not conscious, so there was no memory download.
I would hazard a guess, that in a few days he may remember dreaming of a child, or even dream of one later on.  A lot of things that happen when we dream are only accessible to the subconscious, so if he 'remembers' while he dreams and then wakes up it may come back to him.  However, I wouldn't ask him with any detail, to avoid thinking that you gave him the information with your question.
