Hi all I have been pondering the question who am I. I think getting into AP will help me do that. For those experienced enough do you find that throughout the day you are able to tell the difference between consciousness, intent, belief, perception, thoughts. and the physical to name a few? So when something happens you can say that came from such a place. I have been pondering the question of who am I at the most fundamental level for a long time. I think leaning about this and AP is a step in the right direction.  I read all the time that we are consciousness which is really just being aware. Isn't there more to it. Just being aware implies that we are the product of circumstance. And that there is nothing we can do to help our selfs. Who is David at the heart? Who am I? Thanks.

In my opinion, at the fundamental level, we are "CONSCIOUSNESS".
That's it.

APing doesn't just give you insight into this... it answers it completely.

Without getting too deep, I am the observer.  That's it.

Define consciousness the state of being conscious; awareness of one's own existence, sensations, thoughts, surroundings, etc.
All these things are external in nature. Also on the definition for consciousness, none of those things give accountability to the heart of that soul. So does that mean that we are the product of circumstance. You can be a saint or Hitler and it's just your conscious experience or awareness of what happened that counts. All those things are external in nature. So does that mean that consciousness is at least a mix of intent and consciousness. Because if someone only consciousness then from what I understand that is just a state of being aware.
Now let me ask when someone is phasing what is it that governs your awareness or consciousness (same thing) from one dimension to another dimension. From a purely scientific view point you have to say that what ever controls someones consciousness from one dimension to another that has to at least be a controlling factor of who we are. That's got to be intent, or will. Thanks for your interest in this fascinating topic.

We are not cause and effect we are not what we perceive or are conciseness or awareness alone. We are not robots that only perceive or our aware the we exist without an ability to change our surroundings. I do admit that it is not essay to find that place where anything is possible. Where you can change your life on the most fundamental level. I am still trying to find it. That is part of what lead me to AP. Fascinating isn't it.

That's the "human" definition of consciousness.
When we're talking about *OUR* true form, our TRUE selves, it doesn't apply here, in even the slightest.
You are not what you see in a mirror.

We *ARE* consciousness.

So the word consciousness alone does not fully describe who we ARE. The next question would be when you say "We *ARE* consciousness." Who is the ARE? What is ARE capable of being or doing? This is not an easy question.
This reminds me of when Moses in the bible saw God in the burning bush and Moses asked God what should I tell the Israelites (and Egyptians) who you ARE. You see everyone back then had an Idol or a name for some God that they worshiped. But the real God said them and Moses, Exodus 3:14 "I AM who I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.' Fascinating.

It's a downright simplistic question... it's just hard to define in words to someone who hasn't experienced it.

I know EXACTLY who and what I am.
