Being a psych student, learning the "backdoors" to the human mind has been a common theme.  But the extent of the complexities in modern media programming/priming is just insane.  Check out this writer's break down of a BEP video and its connection to transhumanism (the evolution of humanity through technological means).

This is why people need to shut off their TVs, quit watching movies and get a life. The internet is the last unregulated frontier. The internet as we know it may not exist in a few years. The establishment wants to regulate what we can and cannot see.

personalreality

They already have the internet too.  It's even easier on the internet.  Think Wikipedia.  Anything can be posted there.  The internet is the biggest source of disinformation out there.

Plus, people are paid by world governments to go on forums and join social groups that are considered "revolutionary" (ie not in line with the status quo) and shake things up, cause chaos.  The reason is so that these groups will be unable to coalesce into a cohesive/concrete group.

Wow Preal  8-),

talking exposés on the CIA earlier and now this  :-).

Sounds like you're interested in the truth after all even though you said you believe there exists no such thing. (After all If it didn't you certainly wouldn't waste your time with these kind of topics and erase them out of 'your' own personal reality :-))

That is true. Police have even been caught in peaceful protests dressed as normal people, throwing motolovs and doing anything they can to make the protest appear violent and then send in the SWAT lol

you got me tiny.

though.....i never said i didn't believe in truth.  truth is subjective.

i do think that perhaps you misunderstand my personal philosophy.

though, i do find this "truth" very interesting.

i believe i've said it before, i think you and i have much in common tiny.

I tried to watch the video. I don't like the BEPs. I made it to about 5 minutes and became bored. I like to chill out to some Buddy Guy or Allman Brothers when I am playing around on the internet. I just like music, not so much the words, but the actual music. I play bass so I tend to focus on the bass lines. They'll never suck me in with their BS!

personalreality

I didn't watch the video at all.  I'm like an art snob with music and BEPs tinkle me off.

Though, maybe not as much as others.  I still won't listen to them whenever I can avoid it.

And this time, I have that control.

Their videos apparently use very sophisticated kind of visual and audio patterns that are found in a lot of mainstream music that are designed install various layers of programming in the viewer. This video is nothing short of a psychological attack.

However, it has to be said that these techniques only work when the viewer is in a trance. That is why TV's are built to operate at such refresh rates that promote trance and sleepiness by the way. Being consciously aware while watching efficiently works as a blockage to keep the mind awake and away from trance and stop a lot of the programming from entering one's mind, hence one is not doomed to be programmed when exposed to this kind of crap. However the very fast changing pictures and sounds are designed to overflow one's mind with a lot of input in order to shut down the natural critical analysis defense systems and cause the viewer to fall into a trance very quickly.

That would explain everything. I've found the best way to go into a trance is to pay attention to every feeling and sound I get until it all becomes a blur.

It would also explain why music videos have such awful video editors, switching camera angles and settings at least once per second. Anyone who knows anything about editing wouldn't do that

(side note: That site is for wackos)

This is kinda fun
I was watching this music video http://vimeo.com/4985703 (which popped up on stumbleUpon) and it's quite awesome, despite... well, at about a minute and a half into it, my mental alarm went off as I caught the video inducing a trance state. At 1:00 it falls into a hazy, color-drained mode during which your mind begins to wander, and it's hard to monitor all the things that are being communicated (in contrast to the colorful first minute where you caught everything)

Sure enough, after this trance mode, it starts showing all these images of pyramids and eyes. Pyramids and eyes. Y'know, like the symbol on the dollar bill that seems linked to the Anunnaki. Half the dancers have pyramids for heads, half have eyes for heads, and you'll spot subliminal eye shapes if you pay attention.

It's interesting. I'm wondering what other symbols are showing up here

"My humps" was a pretty good video and the song is somewhat catchy, IMO. But then that's all that is, my opinion. I love sexy/cute wimmens.

Transhumanism may very well be the future trend for humans. Why not. Let it be. I don't see how it could be any worse than what we have going for the physical body anyway. I have maybe another 40 years on this planet if I'm lucky but I don't see roboticising myself any time soon. Let the disinformation spread. Lets all get barcodes tattooed on our forheads and figure out which country American President Obama is really from. Don't turn off your t.v. because that would prevent the real world leaders from spying on your most intimate moments. Led Zeppelin was just a band of lip synchers and air guitar players.

Soon none of us will even have to think.

This will help you see how you know TV is bad for you but you're still addicted to it and love it.

I only liked the Madvillan and Quas songs from Chrome Children, the rest of it kind of sucked.

That doom song was the best! And the video takes elements from Fritz Lang's "Metropolis", which has a similar message about societal conformity.

I certainly agree that there are layers upon layers of subconscious (and not so subconscious) cues built into most mass entertainment today, and that producers play on the human psyche like a xylophone. That said, I am not so sure that the Black Eyed Peas, or their promoters, are supporting an agenda to desensitize humanity to the prospect of robotic enhancement.

Seems a little far-fetched and meagerly supported. Why would anyone have such an agenda, and for such a distantly obscure goal, that cannot be accomplished this side of this century? I must say that I am not convinced. I wonder what sort of agenda the writer has!

Stillwater,

The video is certainly an exaggeration.  That's how they make it seem entertaining and improbable.  People think what you think.  "Oh we don't have the technology to make people robots".

But total robot conversion isn't the goal right now.  Microchips in the brain, barcodes on the skin, thumb print scanners instead of credit cards.  That is going to be happening in just a few short years.  The BEPs are part of a large structure of media outlets that have been given the task of "preparing" the measly humans for the changes to come.

QuoteMicrochips in the brain, barcodes on the skin, thumb print scanners instead of credit cards.  That is going to be happening in just a few short years.

Unforuntately, this is true. It is happening even now.

QuoteThe BEPs are part of a large structure of media outlets that have been given the task of "preparing" the measly humans for the changes to come.

This is where I part ways- there is a large gap between RFID chips, which are undeniably real, and cybernetic body parts.

And I can say that I understand just why a person would be against RFID chips, since they are a terrible invasion of privacy, and would take the world just one more step in the wrong direction, but I don't see what is in principle wrong with providing robotic limbs to amputees, for instance.

And I am afraid that you have not made your case yet. Perhaps there is some connection between media of this type, and some sort of transhumanist agenda, but until you explain, 1) Who these mystery people are who might want to convince the population that this robotic enhancement concept is acceptable, 2) How they command independent musical artists to do their bidding, and 3) Why it is something instrinsically negative and to be feared, you are not making a complete argument.

If you are going to tell others that they are media puppets, that is fine, perhaps it might be true, to some extent- but if you don't explain precisely why, I am afraid that you are only talking to yourself, and that is clearly not what you intend to do.

I only say these things because I have seen discussions like these degenerate into "us and them" arguments too often- "We are the ones who know, and we don't even need to bother explaining to them, because if they are not one of us, they are one of them, and wouldn't get it anyhow."

I reiterate that this does not seem to be your intention, but if you are going to make assertions like this, not back them up with serious proof, and call others ignorant for not believing it at face value, that is what it has the potential to become.

I think that we can all safely agree that much harm has been done for many centuries as a result of fervently believing in something with little to no proof to back it. You are clearly someone interested in truth, and so I would point out that before one accepts any bit of unknown infromation, there should be many questions that temper that acceptance.

Just my two cents  8-)

You're right, I'm not trying to just say "I'm right, you're wrong, done."

I should make it clear that I just thought this was an interesting article, an interesting perspective from ONE author.

But, it's just an opinion piece, just some random dude/chick running his/her mouth.

I still like it though, and agree.

This is based on conspiracy research Stillwater.  So "They" are the global elite.  I understand the point of giving amputees more advanced prosthetic limbs.  But there is another subtle message as well, that it's better to be a "robot" than a free-thinking human.  It also conveys the message that humans are imperfect and through technology could be better.  To me that says that humans aren't capable of personal evolution without the "technological social machine".  Personally, I believe that humans are capable of manipulating reality through their own psychic capabilities and through spiritual/personal development we can achieve this end.

The idea behind much of the conspiracy research is that the "mainstream" media forms are fabrications in place to program the masses.  Get them hyped about something and make whatever "they" want seem cool so the kids will want to do it.

How do you know it's not the other way around?:

Parents who didn't have much wanted their kids to have what they didn't. So they bought them everything, didn't teach them the value of earning or hard work, or appreciation for what they have, and morals and values regarding these things.

And the people selling stuff take advantage of it. That is bound to happen. And then the new morals in society is that as long as you're making a buck, it's OK to take advantage of people.

Forget putting blame on anyone - change your personal morals and values and teach them to your kids and turn it around. We are responsible for ourselves.
