I was looking at the free brainwave generator program and saw it had some options where you can use OBE inducing brainwave sounds. Before I spend a lot of time trying it properly I was going to ask here first.

So has anyone here used any OBE inducing brainwaves on this program to any success? are they any good?

I want to see if anyone knows if they are actually any good before I do them myself, the last thing I want is to spend days and days doing these brainwaves to no effect. Thx.

Didn't mean to post this twice sorry pls delete this.

It depends on what you call 'success' and 'good'.  I find them very fun to use and in the beginning, they induced OBE (not at the time of using them, but later, as an aftereffect.)  Some people report they work, some people don't like them, find them annoying.
So, use the free ones first, see if you like them.  If you don't, consider it research.

Dear Klaxen_2008,

it doesn't make having OBEs easier for anyone.

I used to run Monroe's OBE CD with 0 success because I had no clues about dissociation.

Besides I think using soundwaves in order to shut down the mind creates an unhealthy dependance.

So what would be the best technique/dissociation to use with helpful brainwave sounds that get you into Theta? is there a technique that perhaps works best with brainwave sounds? what one does anyone recommend.

I agree with CFTraveler that the effect can last for hours, so if you use them before going to sleep at night they can help with morning projections. I use them sometimes when I'm in a dry spell, and they definately have a noticable effect and have been responsible for some of my OBE's I believe. I don't believe they create a dependance - they don't for me anyway.  I tend to rotate the ones which I use, as I find that using the same one over and over causes it to lose it's effectiveness within a few sessions.
I use the full version which lets you import presets, so I can't tell you much about the built-in presets as I can't remember which ones I've used! I'm sure any which induce Theta will have some effect though.

BWGEN won't help you exit.  It will help you induce the trance.

I've used it for dreaming before bed with some success.
be awesome.

I never used brainwave generators, but I use Hemi-Sync a lot and I find it very useful...in fact I could never have achieved any success without it because my lack of patience. It helps a lot but you have to know how to use it. Don't expect having OBE's using it, but you can use it a tool to improve your meditation skills which are important to phase or have OBE's
