I woke up this morning around 7am. I had another hour to sleep before I had to get up for work so I closed my eyes and went to fall back asleep, but soon realized I was in sleep paralysis and I was hearing music playing in my head. This happens every time I get sleep paralysis and it's a good sign for me to know when I'm SP, but it can get anoying too because sometimes I lose focus hearing this music blasting in my head. It's always of songs that I know with lyrics and everything.

So while laying there in SP with this music going on I tried to go deeper in a trance state or more SP and soon it faded to black and I think the music stopped. I remember fighting to exit and it was hard to get away from my body and I couldn't even see.
The next thing I remember is being in my hallway and flying down the hall into the living room, I was concious, but not fully aware of my surroundings, there were some unusual things in my living room that arn't normally there.

Now I always keep a random card chosen from a deck of cards up on a high shelf in my living room so that during times like this when I randomly get out I have something to do.
So I flew over to the shelf, grabbed the card laying on top and took a look at it. I wasn't very consious here and all I saw was a bunch of numbers on the card. It didn't even look like I card so I put the card down. Focused on what I was doing and picked it up again and the first thing I saw was a red 5 of hearts. The numbers were still a little scrambled, but a much more solid number than the first time.

Now I put the card down and flew downstairs aimlessly for the next couple minutes or so until the experience ended. Then I woke up in bed and remembered the experience. I was skeptical of the cards number so I got up and got the card from the shelf in my living room. It was a red ace of hearts.

This is my second time doing this experiment and both times I have done pretty much the same the first time I saw a red 7 of hearts, but it was really a red 7 of diamonds.

I think if I was 100% concious of what I was doing and focused on the card I could get the exact card.

Dear Justin35ll,

I too find it extremly hard to keep the dream mind (mental body) from imposing its dreamy vision over the etheric body.
The fluctuations it causes in the etheric environment are so subtle.

It must be possible for one to not be actively creative during OBEs but merely passively receptive.

How can an Ace be mistaken for a 7 though?!

You don't "mistake it".
Basically, the name of the game is not to make a snap judgments.
He saw an Ace, because that's what he expected to see.

This is all part and parcel of why you need to control your thoughts while projecting.

If you had kept a clear mind you would have seen the 7.

I've played that card game with tarot cards before.

I drew a random card and put it on top of the fridge without looking at it.

I saw the fool when i projected.

When I came out of it, I looked at the card and it was the 7 of wands.
be awesome.

Because people don't know what they have to do to make them work.
So they try this kind of verification and they fail because they're making snap judgments of what the card might be.
Then it upsets them when they're wrong.

Well I not sure I get this I mean you say people don't know what they have to do to make them work? well all your doing is trying to view something, even in the RTZ the basic action to do this task should be as easy as in real life (looking on top of the cupboard or wherever the target is).

With or without anyone trying to guess beforehand what the card might be, it never seems to work.

When projecting your emotions and subconscious have a very heavy influence.  So whether you know it or not you probably have some sort of emotional/unconscious energy that is predicting the outcome of the test rather than trying to actually observe it.

Let me interject here - just have to hop in on this discussion.

Now, these are not just only experiences I have had with solid validations. A few weeks ago, I had a experience validation not controlled that all four of my dogs were involved, weather conditions outside and with my wife in the OBE + Physical plane. What I am getting at is just this, anytime when I tried to control the experience obtaining proof or with expectation the results would be null. I do agree with the poster about emotions, expectations interfering by contiminating the end result.

The best way to go about proof is by letting it happen naturally w/o forcing the validation. Plan on the experience just being what it is and not being hell bent on proving if it is real or not. It will all come in time with patience, kindness, and w/o force.

Everyone is welcome'd to visit my web site for further research and experiments, validations, and stats.

thank you,

Why do people seek validation? Is the experience alone not enough? Is this to distinguish  OBE from "dreaming"? I have never had a single doubt of what I am experiencing when I project. Should I?
Of course I have read of various methods and experiences of validation. The experience of OBE is so unlike any other I have never doubted what was occurring.
Sounds like no one has had success here. I would think the mere fact you FOUND a card solidifies the reality of your experiment. Reading text or numbers is difficult enough. Symbols especially communicate more information than one might initially think.

Anyone have success? I have never tried. One more thing to add to my list.

Honestly I'm not upset with my results. They're not exact, but I got 2 out of 3 things correct both times I did the experiment. Which was the color and the number the first time and the color and the symbol the second time which is still pretty accurate to me.

I don't do these validations to prove that OBE is real to me I just find it fun and if I one day I do get the right card, then awesome.
I believe OBE is real, I just want something to do during my projections because usually when I get out I just fly around my house or my yard and don't get me wrong flying is awesome, but it gets repetitive and I feel like I'm wasting the experience sometimes by just flying around til I wake up.
I would like to travel to places far from my house either here on earth or in other dimensions, but I'm not sure how to go about doing that yet

Oh and yes, it is definetly not as easy as just looking at the card and then waking up and validating it.
Like said above your subconcious will def mess with your head if you are not fully aware making it very hard to get an accurate reading

Sounds like you are where I am at. There is more. You know there is more. People say there is more. But, how to get there? Seems that if you are able to direct yourself to locate a card for validation and otherwise fly around (still pretty fun for me) then you need to seek assistance from those guides we all know exist. I have met guides, at least I believe I have. Many talk of this and relate wonderful stories. Problem is that the situation is mostly ineffable. Just try to explain how you feel when you know it is not a dream anymore. That your are dealing with something WAY out of your league. Go strictly for the astral experience. Fly so high you might never come down. Good luck my friend. It is waiting there for all of us.

I pray you succeed more and more every day.

Because your 'expectations' still play a huge role in what you experience.  Even on the RTZ.
You need to have no expectations what-so-ever.  Or you're going to taint your results.

when I haven't looked for validation is when I've found it.
