word usage as suggested by the subconscious

This may not belong here, if so it can be moved, however it pertains to literature so I thought I would ask those who write if such has happened to them. When I write and don't know of a certain word to use, my subconscious will suggest one to me. I will just be thinking about what to use, and all of a sudden I will hear a word just appear as if given to me. It will be a word I have no memory of ever reading and not even realizing its a real used word, but upon looking it up I will come to find it fits perfectly as the definition I am looking for. I just thought it was a cool and easy to understand example of communication with the subconscious that commonly happens. The word given to me just now was "supple."
