I dreamt an exit

There were only three details that let me know it was a dream and I'm now worried that my other two, much shorter exits were dreams too.

What happened was I "woke" up to my leg already rising up into the air. I thought, "yes! Here we go", and I rolled out of bed onto the floor. I crawled through the exterior wall of the building and started falling the four floors to the pavement below.

Everything went gray when I went through the wall and I couldnt see anything. So while I was falling I said, "clarity", "full awareness" and then after a soft landing I said, "light". My vision came to me over a couple of seconds and then I could see clearer than I ever have in a lucid dream. It was like being on the street in real life and I could think just like when I'm awake.

So I walked down the street a little bit and then started flying down the road. I started trying to think of things to do and I remembered how much I've always wanted to go to the moon. When I looked up I saw there were two moons; A bright one and a darker one below it and to the left. I'd never gotten out of my bedroom before so at this point I just thought, "Huh, thats wierd. There's two moons in the RTZ".

I decided to go for the bright moon and started to fly towards it. I couldnt get any faster than a few miles an hour. I thought, "It would take weeks to get there at this rate. Oh well, I might as well get back to my body to make sure I remember this."

On the fly back to the bedroom I went over a pair of power cables that had some really cool red, blue and white light spilling out of them in places. The colours were more vivid than anything I've ever seen before. I then realised I didnt need to actually go back to my body so I just concentrated on opening my eyes.

Suddenly I was back in bed in a strange position, with my torso in the air halfway between lying down and sitting up. That kind of freaked me out but not enough to dampen my excitement over my first good projection.

I then derifted into a short confusing dream before actually waking up for real - in a different bed over two hundred miles from the bed my "exit" happened in. If I had dreamed my exit was from the bed I went to sleep in rather than from my bed at my mums house I would probably still think it was a real projection.

For a while I was wondering if I had projected my double all the way to my bed at my mums house because thats where my other two experiences had occurred. But I've checked to see if the power cables are there and they arent and I havent been able to find any reference of other people seeing two moons.

I'm now starting to think both my other "projections" may well have been dreams as well because I didnt get vibrations on those occasions either. I have experienced the vibrations but only on failed attempts.

I'm going to have to do the playing card thing to check every time now. Is there any general way to tell the difference between a projection and a lucid dream? I had never had a lucid dream of a real place before; they were always in one or other of my reccurring dream environments.

Dear blis:
You don't always get vibrations when you OBE, and you sometimes end up on an astral locale that will not be the same as realtime/etheric.  So I wouldn't use those two points as criteria for whether you projected via OBE or just dreamed of projecting.

I see what you mean. Theres so many places you can end up you cant always tell where you went. I guess I shouldnt be so hung up on where exactly I am.

Wherever it was I certainly enjoyed the experience and even if it was just a dream it was one with a level of lucidity I'd never experienced before which is something to be grateful for.

Thanks for the encouraging words.

Just keep in mind that it's never... "just a dream".  ;)
