Hey SiN,

I've read somewhere that this is possible, and it reminds me of what I read about the Akashic Records; about how you can view someones life and even do like you say and 'share' there life- seeing what they see, feeling what they feel, etc. This seems wholly possible to me.

Celestial.

Thanks for responding.

I like the idea of 'viewing' and experiencing through other animals and even humans, but I wasn't sure if it was possible or even moral.

Once I master AP and other things I've been meaning to do, I would definitely want to try this 'body switch' thing.

I didn't know you could use the Akashic Records for anything other than just watching. If what you say is true, does this then apply to people from the past as well? Or even to your past selves?
Where was I going again?

SiN,
I have read a book that said that it is very possible to "posses" (as the book referred to it)  someone's body.  It was called "Astral Travel: Your guide to secrets of out of body experiences".  It was written by Yvonne Frost.

It even had techniques on how to do it but always seemed to assume that you wouldnt do any harm to this person.  It also referred to body switching as "possesion" but seemed to be making fun of it as in "Oh No im a big bad possesor"[:D]

Hat_lights

If we do it everytime we go to sleep , why worry NOW ?

Anyway , in one of the great Robert A. Monroe's books , he wrote that humans have TWO astral bodies - one that does the "journeying" and the other stays near the physical body , orbits around the physical body , and this is what would wake the sleeping person up should danger threaten .
I can vouch for something like this being the case : I consciously re-entered the physical body one morning after first being in this " orbiting " astral form .
I was having the sensation of turning on an axis above my body , parallel to it  , at about  60 rpm just before re-entry . No sense of gravity , no disorientation , no problems -Mark

In Astral Dynamics RB talks about this a little.
He doesn't give a 'how to' for obvious reasons.  But he states some people are more succeptible than others.  And you couldnt control them.  Also if you're there to do harm in some way its a bad idea due to energy things.

Have most of you or any of the ones that posted read Astral Dynamics?

sweet_celestial_sounds

Hey all,

I'm not Sure if this applies to people of the past and past selves and all SiN, but I assume so- and have before read something to the effect that this is possible. But I've never done it yet. I've heard of people viewing the lives of great people like Jesus and Buddha.

I don't know about possession Ashy. It doesn't seem likely. I've read Astral Dynamics goingslow... and how exactly were you spinning on an axis Hat_lights? Were you spinning like a log, or as if you were lying on a disc that was spinning?

sweet celestial sounds.

Yes, it is possible.  It has happened to me twice, spontaneously, with dogs I felt close to.  I doubt I could have planned it.  The last time was a few years ago when my friend's dog was sleeping next to my bed.  The best description I can give is that we changed consciousness.  It was like a lucid dream, only better as I awoke and thought "So this is what it is like to be a dog."  Tho this was not my dog, it was one for whom I had a special affinity with - from the moment I met him. I don't know what caused it, but not long after that, he died of a brain tumor and I finally understood why he kept rubbing his head against my knees for the weeks we were together.

I think the exchange of consciousness was his gift to me as I certainly had no part in the event, other than an awareness that it was happening.  It was quite wonderful.

Hat_lights

Sweet celestial sounds , yeah - like a log ... I knew I was very close to my body lined-up above it , but it was as if I was turning , weightless , unable to see anything in the dark basement and then I just dropped in and woke up .
A conscious return with no break in consciousness . Like if I was lying on the floor with my arms at my sides , and just ROLLED
across the room on the rug --- except I was in one place , levitating and turning clockwise , I believe .

SiN

Thanks for the responses.

I hope it's true, sweet celestial sounds, about viewing your past lives at least. I've heard of hypnotists helping people remember their past lives, but to actually see and feel (and not see through a 3rd person's POV)...would be terribly wonderful.

Thanks, Ashy, I'll look out for that book.

Hat_lights: We aren't aware of what we're doing while we sleep, out of body. While asleep, we don't venture out of our own little made-up dreamscapes (or rarely). But when it's done consciously, there are so many new issues that arise. With such power (being able to AP in the first place), comes 'great responsibility'. If we go to places or doing things we shouldn't, we may disturb and offend, which could lead to serious repercussions.

goingslow: I understand Robert Bruce, in not telling. I wouldn't want to tell either. I'm not sure if you took my idea the wrong way, but I never meant to 'control' anyone or to do harm. I just meant to 'body switch' as a way to 'experience' (or see what it's like) from another's POV.

Jenadots: I hope I didn't dredge up some bad memories. I'm sorry about your friend's dog. I don't know what it is about dogs, but they always seem to want to be around me. I'm glad it was a wonderful experience for you. ...if I may ask, did you hear any thoughts from the dog/s? Did it feel strange?

I didnt mean to imply i thought you wanted to control anyone.  I was just stating what I remembered reading and the cautions and limitations to that type of thing.

TheSeeker

I've read it goingslow, and I highly recommend it to Sin.  A must read for any one looking to project or anyone who does.

SiN

goingslow: Oh. Okay ^_^. Wasn't sure, so yea.

Thanks, TheSeeker. I plan to do it, after I master AP and learn some other things first. It's not really a top priority right now, but one day it would be neat to try.

I often get this sensation upon drifting away to sleep, except that I rotate only half way, at about a 45 degree angle.

Hello SiN,

There's a girl on another forum on which I hang out who said that a guy she knew talked through her once. I'd link you to the post, but I can't seem to find it anymore (The site changed their look and it seems as though the posts went away with the old format).

She said she's a channeler/medium I believe, and that she was very open to these things at the time. However, she has since closed some of that off because she was getting taken advantage of, if I recall correctly.

I think one would have to be pretty tuned into/open to that kind of thing in order to be taken over like that; likewise one would have to be pretty adept in that area of spirituality to take over someone.

I think the ideal situation would be to have two friends who trust each other very well try it on each other. Perhaps they can open up only to each other, and then close it off/tune out of it when they're done.

Hi, Sin.  My life as a dog.... no, it didn't feel strange at all.  I just looked around a bit.  Saw "me" in the bed and swished the tail a bit because I wanted to know what that felt like.  It seemed to me that I was able to think in pictures.  It was definitely me in there so I have no idea what doggy thoughts my dog friend had while he was in me.

I do think it is something one can learn to do.  I know I was able to do this as a child.  I also used to be able to read books in my sleep.  I think many of us have these kinds of experiences as children, but lose them as we grow up.  Maybe it is our sense of disbelief or a knowing that others do not have these experiences that these talents fall away.

As I approach geezerdom, I am hoping these talents will reawaken in me when I retire in 5 or 10 years and do not have so many day to day job things to do or think about.  I think most people will agree that modern life for adults is not very conducive to fostering the gifts of the mind that we were born with.  It is so hard to find time to nurture these inner talents.  There is so much more to us than we ever have time to allow ourselves to be.

Kodemaster: So, you CAN 'body switch' with other human beings. it makes sense that it'd be easier to try it with someone whom you trust and trusts you as well. Thanks for the suggestion...Now, all I need is to master AP (and the goodies with it), find someone else who can AP, learn to trust them, have them trust me and I'm good to go...!

As for the girl on the other forum, I might find her post, since I like looking at older posts. hopefully, I'll stumble across it ^_^.

Jenadots: I was very sensitive to 'things' around me as a child, definitely. A psychic even told me that when I was younger I definitely heard and saw spirits (I blocked out some of these experiences or 'put them down' because my parents (or others) told me I was 'day dreaming' or it wasn't real, etc.) It's a shame, if I had someone to guide me, I may have been able to harness these 'gifts' we are all given but rarely use or bother to . Luckily, she said I'd like be able to see spirits (and such) again in a few years (if she's right...hopefully!)

...not sure if that's the right name for it, but here goes anyway.

I've heard that when you deliberately leave your body entities can posses you, or that they can but it is unlikely that when you AP something can enter your body. The opposite, I've also heard that nothing can posses you while you're 'out' (seeing how we leave the body every time we sleep anyway). I lean more towards the 'nothing can posses you' or highly unlikely.

I've also heard that you, while OBEing, can not enter the body of another sleeping body (because their body will automatically resist to protect itself).

But then I stumbled across a page (can't remember where right now) that said more or less: you can temporarily posses other beings. Err...I shouldn't use posses, because it isn't the right word. It's more like living in "somebody else's shoes", except your NOT controlling them! Just experiencing through them. I haven't read about anyone doing this to another 'human being', but to simple-minded animals.

Like, for example, if you wanted to 'feel' how a bird does as it's flying, then you could share its body and 'fly with it'. Or hop like a frog, etc.

I'm not sure what to believe. Does anyone have any ideas or thoughts? Has anyone ever done this?

If it's harmless, I wouldn't mind doing it myself.
