Hey all!
I have been following this forum for a while and I've been trying to project for a while.

It was hard to log in and a little bit to type this because I just tried and I think I was close.  I laid down on my bed and played some music, but it was over and I didn't reset the music so as not to disrupt the process.

Basically, I laid in bed and after a while the first thing I notice (like always) is that my hands seemed to rise a bit, physically.  I think my eyes were rotating really fast too, because it felt almost like I was blinking really fast even though I wasn't.  After a while, I had vibrations, and they were INTENSE.  I never felt such intense vibrations.  My eyes were closed, but I as the vibrations became really strong, I saw what looked like a little circle of light going around in a circle really fast.  The vibrations subsided, but when I opened my eyes I saw it still.

I don't know if I was close or if I was doing something unintentionally to my body, but can anybody verify and offer me any tips?  I tried to hold on to the vibrations as hard as possible but I think my excitement made them go away and when I felt I lost it, I decided to post on here.

Any commentary and suggestions for getting past this stage would be appreciated!  I really have been wanting to project for a while and this experience has made me think that I may be able to do it and that it may be real after all.

Thank you!

Sounds like you are right there, to me.   Just keep doing what you're doing.

I do want to mention, when you said that your arms felt like they raised, physically.  More than likely it wasn't your physical arms, but astral.  I used to waste time staring at my arms, but handy non the less.  I guess next time you feel your arms float, slowly try and raise them more.  You'll either move your physical arms, or not.  Don't get discouraged, it might take several tries before you get a real feel for it.

I have no doubt you will succeed!

Good luck!  :-)

I was at that exact spot for like 6months.  turns out the method i was using had me trying too hard.  i ultimately started over with a different "method" that allowed me to remain much more passive.  be careful with where you are because it's easy to let your mind stay to active.
be awesome.

Well--- looking at your post it seems that a lot of people try to "hold on to vibrations".  I don't know what this means.
Vibes are just a side effect of either exit, or change in consciousness- they are not physical things you hold on to, even if they are perceived that way.  I'd say that most of the time (but not always) they let you know when to start exiting, so I'd say, if you are having vibrations and looking at visual phenomena you have already projected but now need to exit your body (or have the experience of exiting your body.)
Then it's time to try an exit technique.  But if it doesn't work, don't assume you're done trying- go back to your trance, and try a different exit technique.
There are lots of them in the Permanent topics section, IIRC.

try to 'relax into" the vibrations . also try to raise the frequency to a smooth fine signal, and then focus on your third eye.
