The movie avatar has some very amazing subliminal messages behind it, I'm not sure if I'm the only one realising it.  I'm just mentioning some Metaphors in the Movie, But I can go on for Days.

In the movie, when Jake Sully Goes to sleep he awaken's in this "sapient humanoid" body in a Earth-like moon in a system called Pandora. In pandora the "colors, animals, etc" are animated in high intense vibrant colors. In pandora Jake sully had to go to the "Goddess" and heal himself by attaching his tail to the tree's Heart.

(How I'm realated this to Physical Reality-Earth)

When a human body goes to bed, your subconscious mind travels (astral projection), in the astral you're more capable of doing things that a human being cannot do, and the surrounding of the astral planes are more vibrant colors.

Please give your thoughts about this.

I thought the movie and its ideas were VERY well done.
For those of us who practice what we do here on the Pulse can EASILY identify with the Astral Projection symbolism and ideologies that are BLATANTLY present in the movie's story, characters and environment.

It makes me wonder if I'm going to run into James Cameron in the Astral one day.  ROFL

I, too, an interested in hearing others' thoughts on this.

I think its BLATANTLY rubbing in our faces the fact that we're all capable of AP but few are aware.

I haven't seen it and I refuse to.
be awesome.

Personally speaking, I think you're giving waaaaaay too much credit to a blind community.  LoL

You have a point there. If it's really trying to make a comparison, they've turned it into a fantasy that can only be experienced in the theater or home video. Instead of making it seem possible, it makes it imaginary. I don't know, maybe it can inspire.

I haven't seen it either though. It's too long for a movie like that. 2 hours should be the max. It's not like they're throwing a ring in a volcano.

i never really thought about this because i tend to ignore things that are wildly crazed over and just see them as a movie but your right about this one there is alot of ideology and symbolism of projection in this also The army which is of course the goverment in the end of the film is against it all and wants to wipe out the other creatures this is most likely what conspirtorists would say about projection that the govermnet aint happy that we could be in there office or in there home if we were efficent enough at projection and they would nt even know about it. I guess some crazy militia would also think that its a new age weapon of espionage and from what i read conspirtrists write about cholorine in the water and other stuff to make us not be able to project for obvious motives.

I mean am not much of a conspiritist but rationally if i put my self in the shoes of some one like obama and he had personal proof or evidence that what we do is solidly true and undenyably real then i would also be worried not only for national security but for my own personal secrets , my goverment secrets and my private life and those close to me.

But gratefully i am not obama and so i dont think any of the above justify stopping us projecting if thats what they are doing

as i said i never give it much thought cause am not into this whole conspiracy stuff. I recall a post i read here the other day where a user i cant remember who but they claimed that the internet is the last frontier for unmonitored use and freedom of expression and information and that even the net is beecoming monitored. well i dont even know if thats true but i can definatly say that the last frontier for true knowledge and enlightment unmonitored by any human. is projection and i hope the govermnet does nt and never will have any proof of its exsistence because if they did they would probally become power greedy and controlling and try to monitor what we do in astral projections

just a few thoughts cya

I have not been to a movie in about 18 years but I went to see this one. I believe James Cameron had some non physical help in the making of this movie. How he received this information I do not know. I think is was meant to wake up more people to how humanity has totally lost its connections with the natural world and the non physical that support our being.

We come to live as a physical entity to experience, and raise our quality of consciousness. So there must be both bad and good in the world for us to make decisions to either raise or lower our quality of consciousness. However at this point and time I think the over all quality is going down fast. We are on a path to self destruction. In pursuit of power, greed, and more stuff we are killing our planet and each other.

So I thought it was a great movie. I think it moved a lot of people to think more about how destructive we humans are to each other and everything around us.

It was along movie but honestly I was so engrossed in it that it did not feel to long at all. Actually I look forward to a sequel. Best movie I've seen in eighteen years :-)

I agree with most of what you said.
We tend to think in terms of the physical, and whether it's about projection or not is irrelevant- it's about how the world is more than what we think it is- the  connections that are inherent in all life and how we sometimes stubbornly refuse to see it.

I also loved it, and disagree that the mercenaries symbolize the government- the mercenaries symbolize the greed in humans that make us blind to what is before our eyes, our connection, and the respect for life.
If Cameron meant to imply that the government is the 'bad guy', he would have made them straight military (which they weren't) and wouldn't made the hero a marine.  Instead he made them mercenaries, free agents motivated by money and power.

lol....

It's funny, but the thought finally came to me, like 8 years later, that my avatar is an avatar......

In essence, yes, that's what we are.
These physical bodies are avatars.

When we go to sleep at night, we become the "human Jake Sulley".
Then we wake up in the morning back in these avatar bodies.

I meant in the more literal sense, in that Krishna is an Avatar of Vishnu.

But that is also a valid point.

So where do the avatars end and we become as our true self

The plant Pandora is so much more beautiful than our own, I wonder if anyone has actually committed suicide after watching this movie?
Personally I wish suicide was not 'sad' like it is, but could be a celebration of moving on to the next phase of life... I feel like I'm done with Earth and would happily commit suicide!! But I can't, because it would be selfish in it's current light
