What is this I'm doing daily? Is it Astral Travel, OBE? I need a name for it.

Okay, so a few years past I'm pretty sure I had an astral experience. I heard a vibration, a "swooshing" sound, and I felt myself come out of my body. Now, about 2-3 times a week when I take a nap (between 12:30 pm -3:00 pm) I am having strange experiences. I realize I am sleeping and that I'm out of my body. There is no swooshing sounds or vibrations though. Nothing of that sort. My astral "body" feels heavy and half of the time I think I am seriously awake walking around the house. I then realize I am not really awake but that my body is sleeping on the couch. I get frustrated sometimes, like today, because I wanted my body to wake up but it wouldn't! So I tried "falling" onto my body hoping that my astral body and real body will unite and wake me up. That doesn't work. I try laying on top of my body on the couch and rolling over. I think I'm successful and then I realize I'm still sleeping there. I get upset sometimes, like today. I don't know what this is called. Sometime I am not fully aware, things get blurry (like my "vision), or I'll slip into the dream state for a bit. Then..I'm back to the living room. This has been happening consistently for a few months but only during these times. I nanny for a family and when I go to sleep the little boy is resting. If someone could give me some recommendations on what this is (is it a dream because I slip into the dream state on occasion?), and also what I can do it get myself to wake up? That would be awesome. I also would like to know what I can do once I'm out of my body. Like..my limitations, etc.
Thanks!

Yep, your traditional OBE with vibrations.

You have now transcended transitional sensations- the exit becomes blurred, and is only recognized as it is happening.  Since it is now smooth and fast, it can be missed.  Your mind got used to it, so it's not shocked at the transition anymore.

That's bilocation.  Your astral body feels heavy because you are still aware of your physical body, and the input is combined.  Annoying, I know.

Yep.  Bilocation can be a pain.  One way to get over it is to try to do an exit technique although you are out already.  But it has to be something that doesn't require movement, but imagination.  Try focusing on something in the room, and to 'glide' there instead of trying to walk, because of the body problem.  This is when passive exit methods become handy.

The last parts are symptoms of a long and possibly repeated exit- so much effort makes you lose lucidity and energy, so that even 'relocating' becomes problematic.  You need to get someone else to wake you.  You can do it, but it is hard, and I suspect it leaves you drained.  I do energy work to help, but sometimes it's a matter of developing the 'mental body'.
That's another theme, though.

i wish i could have your "problem" lol. there are no limitations! go for whatever you can think of.

I have had that happen to me once or twice though where I've gotten stuck out before and it is kind of annoying.

Yes, it is annoying, but now I have a word for it: Bilocation. Thank you! I will look that up more. I never thought about my astral body being aware of my physical body--that connection. That makes more sense now.

This part is confusing to me. Why would I do this? For amusement? It seems pretty interesting, though. I will try this next time.

Yes, it does make me feel drained when I wake up! I have my phone alarm set, so I will wake up on time. That is the only thing that works, but I am slow going back into my body when that happens.

To disengage your conscious awareness from your physical body by concentrating on the etheric/astral environment.  If you use a tech that does not require movement, it'll refocus your awareness away from the body sensations.  This is not going to always work, but it is fun to try.  Think of it like this- you are exercising your ability to traverse the astral environment you find yourself in.
