Vague possibility Palin will enter 2012 election clearest sign of impending doom

Well, I will just reiterate then that I feel nothing of value is going to come from either of the major parties. They are both filled with liars, theives, religious zealots, or corporate puppets (usually some combination of the above). Our political system has become so divorced from reality that nothing is to be gained by continuing as we are. People are led to believe that there is nothing they can do to change any of it, and the best they can do is to elect the opponent of the person they despise the least. I think we need to somehow transcend the system.

I am only half-joking when I say that electing people like this guy make take us someplace:

I saw this guy the other day and couldn't believe that this was for real.  In fact, the whole NY campaign is an embarrassment to the electoral process.   This stuff isn't suppose to be a joke.  I'm beginning to think some people are cutting off their noses to spite their face.  Being partisan helps NO ONE.  Just because you don't like the party that might take control doesn't mean ALL is bad.

Hi PR,

I agree with you for the most part.  It is of course crucial that individuals throughout communities, towns, cities, and society reconnect with each other and work together to help each other willingly and selflessly towards a self sustainable global unification.  Whether or not our institutions such as governments, religions, and corporations participate or not is completely their choice.  One thing is for certain the more we come together the more institutions will either transform as part of the transition or simply just fade away.  Either way these types of institutions will eventually cease to exist because they will increasingly become less relevant.  Concepts such as political parties, governments, borders, and patriotism are cancerous and do nothing to serve the best interest of society.  It is encouraging however that many throughout society are realizing that we do not need leaders, rulers, governments, laws, and regulations.  What we need is each other.

How in the world do you expect to change it, if you constantly ignore it because you deemed it a waste of time?  Who's sniffing poo at that point?   Let me get this straight... You are just going to allow others to speak for you??  That makes no common sense what so ever, IMO.  But I do think this is a good example of why and how our country as come to the place that it is now at.

What makes no common sense to me is the persistent delusion in this country that any politician is really doing what their job is supposed to be.  Perhaps "democracy" was a good idea once upon a time but we're just not doing that anymore.  What we're doing now is watching soap operas and a bunch of he said she said.  There hasn't been a genuine president since JFK, they are all puppets.  Vote for whoever you want, it won't make a difference.  You can continue to think you are a politically sophisticated individual who sees through the bull crap to the real issues and thus vote accordingly which gets "your voice heard" wayyyy up there on capital hill.  Unfortunately you'd be dead wrong.  It's cool if it's a good enough distraction to forget about how morally debased, selfish, greedy, and just plain bad our system of "government" has become.  I on the other hand choose not to sniff poo and say "mmmm roses".  Anyone who still thinks there is something genuine in the american political system and government, I am sorry because my comments must seem horribly offensive and just plain inconsiderate of your political ideals.

oh yea, i know the easy answer.  I'm a conspiracy aficionado, remember Nay?  You know I'm all nutter butter over conspiracies (or "the reality of the situation" as I like to think of it).  So, everyone just ignore me because I believe in the option that makes the most sense.......i mean the least sense....
be awesome.

Hehehe.. geez, defensive much PR?

I'm sorry, but I still don't agree that sticking ones head in the sand is a better way to fight corruption on Capital Hill. And I'm not too impressed with JFK.  Unfortunately, for too long we have allowed liberal bias folks to control what gets taught in our schools and colleges.  Look at what Mrs. Obama said not too long ago, while she was stumping for her hubby,
Quote"Barack knows that we are going to have to make sacrifices; we are going to have to change our conversation; we're going to have to change our traditions, our history; we're going to have to move into a different place as a nation."
WTF???  Change our history? Last time I checked our history was already played out and recorded.  Liberals have been trying to re-write history to help with their agenda for too long now.  So, don't worry PR, I'm well aware of the corruption running amuck and getting involved is the ONLY way to stop it.

QuoteYou can continue to think you are a politically sophisticated
Aww.. that is the sweetest thing you've said to me since we've been going at each other.  Thank you!  :-D

You can keep your theories though, because that is all they really are,....theories.

That guy is a former Black Panther member.  I don't find reverse racism any funnier than racism.

Politics has never been a real conversation piece here.  :-D

You're right Stookie I was thinking about Charles Barron.  I did find that he says Damn is God's word.  Maybe Palin can be his running mate in 2012.

I can't believe that Reid won...  but at least the House is no longer a democrat majority.  So, we made some sort of head-way. No if we could just get rid of Obamacare.

Xanth

Sorry, not to jump on you or anything Nay but...

So, we made some sort of head-way.
That simple word used in that simple context is what's wrong with our society today.

People forget that we're all in this world together... so why do we keep creating these dividing lines?  >_<

Sorry, that's all I have to say on Politics... as politics can kiss my butt.

I recognize that it's two heads on the same snake, but I hate republicans just a little bit more than democrats and I just didn't think that you would be more on the conservative side of things Nay.

LOL!  Stop trying to censor what I say Xanth.  I know you didn't literally censor it but here you are telling me what I should be saying.

People aren't always going to be what your expect or want, like you PR...sorry I'm too conservative for you.  I dislike big Govt. and love the idea of private establishments.  Nothing wrong with the guy down the street being smart and growing a big business.  I can't be a hater because I'm not a great business person.  I can't demand that the Govt stick out it's big teet and let me suck away, I'm just not one to like the Govt all in my business.  Literally.   If there is no competition out there, what drives the prices??

And it is a "WE" and WE have Obama to thank for bringing this country not together like he promised over and over but we have to thank him for dividing this country more than it has been in decades.  I swear this man has taken us back years with race relations.  Just the other day he was telling the Latinos to get out and punish their enemies by voting liberal democrat.  What a fcked up thing to say.  I'm trying to cook lunch, but I can come back and give you a large list of stupid shite Obama has said over the last two years that prove not only does he not want us united but wants to cripple America.

Go ahead, stand behind a man because he has a D next to his name instead of what he really stands for.

Stillwater

You make it sound like it is all one guy's fault. And that no one else in history was involved. And that a certain He Who May Not Be Named, a character richer than any satire was not at the helm for most of a decade.

It really isn't even about sides anymore. It is about going to hell in a handbasket perched aboard a speeding locomotive, and no one cares so much as to nudge the throttle back a hair.

What's up with all the vehicle analogies?   Obama loves the bus driving into the ditch analogy.. Oh, and let's not forget about him saying a couple weeks ago that Republicans can come for the ride, but they have to ride in the back.  I ask you, is that an appropriate thing to say when you claim you are going to bring a nation together?  And when is it going to be an appropriate time to call Obama to the mat for what he is currently doing to the US?  When is it his responsibility?  Can you tell me what makes this man so great in your eyes?  Can you give me some examples?

It is about sides.  I don't know why you guys don't get that.  It's about sides because of how divided Barrak Hussein Obama has made it. He's made it about the Govt taking over everything and that is the very reason why different parties exist.  One side dislikes large Govt. the other side loves having control of everything and wants to be that big Govt.  Can you figure out which are which?  And I'm not saying one side is without its issue, I'm saying, right now, with times the way they are, we have to take back personal power and get rid of the Govt control and that means having more Republicans in charge.

If Obama had shown any inkling that he really wanted to work with the Repubs I wouldn't be having this conversation, because I'd be happy.  But he is not willing to listen to anyone that isn't behind his agendas.

Oh you're not too conservative for me.  In all honesty, when it comes to government, I'm with you.  My dislike of republicans stems from my distaste for Christianity and the often overwhelming Christian undertones in republican thought.

I think it's beyond politics and presidency. We need someone to encourage us to make changes, not rely completely on policies and government. WE have make sacrifices for later generations. But no one is willing to. We spoiled ourselves to too high a degree of living and no one is willing to give anything up. It's unamerican to not have it all. We are spoiled brats.

And I hear Sean Hannity say: "We have the rights as Americans to be spoiled brats or the terrorists win". Pride, arrogance, and greed gets in the way of what is right. That's politics in America.

Capt. Picard

I couldnt agree with you moe Naykid, Obama's speeches had no substance in them at all and most of the nation fell for it. Ultimately, I think democrats pose a greater threat to freedoms than republicans, although neither is great. They are really pretty much the same party and when the cameras are off Im sure they work together to please their corporate overlords. It just seems democrats have no respect for tradition, culture, or heritage, they constantly play the race card when its unneccessary and can never finish a debate without resorting to ad hominem attacks and attacks on their oppenents personal character. Then they preach tolerance and acceptance of everyone regardless of differences but rip your head off if you have a differing political view. Complete hypocrits and fake intellectuals.

I've been seeing commercials for this all weekend.  She is making it very difficult for me to like or even take her seriously.  And it seems she has a narcissistic streak in her a mile long.  That turns me off more than anything.  I'm not so naive that I believe politicians don't need a bigger ego than most, but damn woman.  I think this has officially put a stop on her winning anything.
