I've grown up with spirituality being a key part of my existence. I've always know about astral projection but never really thought of it as a reality for me until now. I have deep lucid dreams and also have astral projected in dreams but not fully conscious of them. I've woken up flying through the clouds and felt so happy and exhilarated! It was amazing but almost as soon as I acknowledge I'm doing this I snap back to my body and wake up. I also woke up in space before. It was sparkly and peaceful but just hung there for a moment and then again snapped back because it was startling.

Just about two weeks ago my sister and I decided we would try and achieve AP. We've both put a piece of paper on our bureau's with a number and we're supposed to go there and find out what the number is. I've realized this may take some time.

So far I've tried every night and have gotten a little further each day which is exciting. The last two days were the most eventful. The day before I made it to the lower astral where it was more like hallucinations. I felt as if I were pearing in through my third eye on this new and strange planet. It had stalagmites for mountains with smoke coming out of them. It was crystal clear and the most amazing visions I've ever had. Only a few moments here and there did I actually feel that I was there, floating across, watching the landscape as I went by. This night I also saw a ship in space that looked like a pirate ship. I passed through this wall of a ship in space and as I passed through I saw every molecule of the substance the wall was made up of. Really cool.

Last night, I was listening to Binaural beats on my ipod on a low volume, and was just enjoying the relaxation part of it and I got to that point where I felt like I was going to go to sleep but in stead I started slipping out my right side. My astral arm starting waving all about frantically because mostly I was alarmed by the feeling of slipping out. It felt as though I lost all sense of gravity and therefore I snapped back. I started relaxing again and got to that place again between consciousness and sleep and then started slipping out by my feet. Once again I started scrambling my feet as though to find my footing and this startled me back...I'm a little disappointed I freaked out as this is where I'm trying to get in the first place. But there is always another night and more experiences to gain. This is very exciting!

Hi Kate,

That's quite the experience there.  :)

Welcome to the Astral Pulse.

Welcome Kate
Distorted astral senses are actually quite common for new, inexperienced OBEers. That is something that usually clears up and gets better after a few OBEs. Just keep trying, you'll get there.
