Hi Adrian

Thanks for the info. I'll be sure to take a look. By the way, where does one obtain one of these "chakra shirts?" I want one.

Anonymous

heehee nevermind. I found where to get one.

Um... that's REALLY expensive for a shirt.

Excuse me, but I am a bit (actually VERY) skeptical of any book claiming to pronounce the meaning of life/existence.  I will have to look into it though.

FOr you to stick it up on top, you obviously must really like it.  I wish I could do the same for the books I love!  [:D]

Greetings PeacefulWarrior,

I agree with you entirely. But Dr. Chalko seems to be rather putting forward a hypothesis rather than a statement of fact. I believe there are fundamental flaws in his reasoning, but that is just my opinion.

The reason I put this book forward is because it does include alot of wisdom, which is actually similar in many respects to the ancient wisdom, and I don't think Dr. Chalko researched the latter first.

Well worth a read nevertheless.

With best regards,

Adrian.

I think that most of the Ancient wisdom are drawn from Gospel of Thomas. It would be great if one can point out the flaws of reasoning and discuss here.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll check out their website.

What ancient wisdom are you referring to Adrian?

Hi,

I am having trouble accepting some of the preliminary statements of this book, and am hoping to open some discussion on these things so that I can understand better.  I appreciate any opinions...

Before I go into these, I would like to say thanks for the link and also to the Author for making this book available.  It DOES stimulate interesting thoughts.

Questions I have about "GREAT Intellect had to exist FIRST – before any Life in the Universe came to existence."

1) Doesn't this assume that time exists as a binding restriction on all consciousness? In order for anything to appear to happen before something else, the perception of the witnessing consciousness has to be bound and restricted by time.  This would seem to dictate that time existed BEFORE consciousness.  This would also seem to imply that the founding consciousness that created (or became) all-that-is is neither infinite nor omniscient?

2) This also seems to assume that "life" and "intellect" (which to me also implies consciousness as a pre-requisite) are completely different and seperate from each other.  Isn't all consciousness also "life"?

Questions I have about "It is MUCH easier to make a house than create Life."

1) Does "difficulty" truly exist or is it just an illusion created by limited beliefs?  I don't know about you, but to me something only seems "difficult" when I am ignorant of how to do it properly and/or mentally resist the act of doing it by focusing on the final product of that action instead of the action itself.    When you flow with life, nothing seems difficult.

2) If the concept of "infinity" is valid in this context: say there is an infinte amount of energy and that our potential is truly not limited in any way whatsoever, than any amount of energy it takes to accomplish anything would feel the same as anything else.  When you have infinite energy, doing something that transforms (I say transform because physics teach us that energy is never destroyed but only changes form) say 10 units of energy would not feel any different than something that transforms 10 trillian units of energy, because both quantities of energy would be so small as to seem insignificant.  Which brings me to my last question...

3) If energy truly only changes form and is never destroyed, the feeling/perception of "expending" energy would only be experienced by a being that has lost its conscious connection with all-that-is.  If a bieng has a conscious connection with all-that-is, then any "expenditure" of energy would feel like they just moved energy to a different part of themself where it was needed, not like it was expended.

I am usually guilty of making my posts way too long and thus nobody reads them, so I will stop here even though I have more to say.  The book said that unless I could accept the "truth" of those early foundations, that reading the rest of the book would be pointless so I have temporarily stopped reading.  I'd really love to hear what you guys think...

1.I am quite sure that new knowledge flows in one direction. You need lots of knowledge to design a universe. Where is the knowledge came from at the beginning? The increase of total knowledge and the preception of change, create the illusion of 'time'. 'time' is used
for the sake of comparison. This doesn't imply that 'time' exists before consciousness.

2. What do you mean by 'life'?

3. A house requires knowledge to build. The modern computer is accumulation of material knowledge. Can you build a computer without a designer (which has such knowledge?)

4 I give you all the atomic bombs on the world, can you build a human from such energy? Since the universe is created from the big bang, if someone gives your a million bombs, can you make a bomb yourself and 'bang' out something intellectually useful, like calculator, a helicopter or a robot?. Can you? Energy without useful information content is completely useless. Like the kinetic energy of electrons in your Cathod Ray Tube of your computer monitor, it has to scan and move in certain way which is modulated by certain signals so that it hits in a particular position in order to make some pictures out of the screen. Without information imparted into the moving electrons, you can not see anything useable.

5. I don't think feeling is an energy. It think it is a kind of information (which can be distributed or sent out, I am not very sure about that yet). Emotion is the reaction of thoughts.

That's my own explorations and understanding.

Oh...you have to dump most of the 'new-age' misconceptions.....I have passed that phase.

Like all information, it requires a carrier. Do you what are the carrier? Mobile phone uses mircowave to carry information..............

Greetings everyone,

I do not often recommend books here, but here is one I would certainly suggest that everyone reads if at all possible:

http://thefreedomofchoice.com

(Free download in Acrobat PDF format)

This is written by Dr. Tom Chalko of "The Thiaoouba Prophecy" and Chakra shirt fame, and who takes probably the most difficult subject of all, and makes an excellent job of discussing it.

I will not add my own comments on his words specifically, and neither do I profess to agree with everything he says, but there is no doubt that this work contains some extremely relevant theories and teachings.

This book is not at all related to "The Thiaoouba Prophecy", which is an entirely different matter altogether [:)]

Please discuss your thoughts on this in Spiritual Development where I have also posted this topic.

With best regards,

Adrian.
