Your thoughts on numerology?

numerology n. The study of the occult meanings of numbers and their supposed influence on human life.


I'm a big time optimistic!  I'll believe in anything.  One of those things are numerology.  I find numerology readings to be very flattering and wish it to be true .  What do you guys/gals feel about numerology?

I skimmed a book on it once. Tried some of the things is spoke of. Thought it was nonsense. Doesnt mean it is. Might just have been a bad book.

I haven't seen anything that's impressed me much with numerology.  I like the concept and it makes theoretical sense, just haven't found anything meaningful with it.

There may be a correlation between numerology and Jung's archetypes, or archetypes in general.A repetition of so called "constructs" which become prevalent as we go through our lives. Whether they are of astral or simply just socio-cultural origins remains to be figured. Just a thought

The Pythagoreans viewed numbers as quantitative and qualitative.  So not only a representation of quantity, but symbols with qualitative meanings.  Modern science has forgotten about that.

Me as well. I was born on 9-8-89 both my parents were born on the 8th of different months of course my ex boyfriend was born on the 8th, ever thing I do with numbers seems to always have and 8 somewhere.

Except crystals are used in pretty much all modern techoligical devices. While numerology is based on ancient mystical beliefs.
