Hello everyone,

I am just returning from a brief trip to the east coast. So cold compared to CA!
anyway I had my most exciting projection over there so I thought I'd share it with yall.

I lay down to go to sleep in one of my dreams and I wake up in my physical body. I realized that I hadn't moved yet so I hold still and wait for the vibrations to kick in. Low and behold they start and Im out of my body within 10 seconds. I was really surprised at how fast it happened.
When i look back at the projection it still feels like I wasn't 100% in control but like 80%.
I remember seeing someone for the first time in a projection, so i decided to talk to them (in hopes to find my guide). He told me his name and I remember it being EXTREMELY long so he told me to just call him. "_ _ _". Because this projection was so long I couldn't recall his name. I just know that it was 3 letters. He took me around with him and told me so many things. Of course I dont remember what they were in detail but I remember being extremely shocked and excited. I would start to lose concentration every now and then so I brought up my hands and focused on them. In doing this, i was able to make this projection last 15-20 minutes!
I really want to remember what he was telling me but I haven't the slightest idea.

Next I woke up again but didn't move so I decided to try another projection.
Once again im out within 10 seconds.
I had trouble flying again but I continued to practice willing myself to move. This method works but I often psyche myself out. Towards the end of the projection I remember jumping in the air and i felt like there were rockets on my feet or something. So everytime I jumped with one leg I would shoot a certain direction. This was an interesting technique.

So in my last projection, I remember being in this courtyard where I met the first person " _ _ _" who showed me around.
I find another person and ask him where _ _ _ is. he looks reluctant as if he doesn't understand me.
He says something to me but I have no idea what it is. It sounded like a combination of a different language, feeling really disoriented, and my ears not working haha.  After this I started to lose focus and woke up again.

So far every time I project I try to move physically in the astral. This leaves me with the feeling of being paralyzed.
So I've started just willing myself to speak or move instead of physically doing it. Still have a ton of work to do.

Firmitas, very nice.
3 OBEs/Aps in 1 nite, I'm actually a bit envious because I had 2 OBEs in the last week of December and thought that was special !?
Anyways your first experience, where you were about 80% in control (not 100 %) shows how it is possible to just 'go with the flow" and have a full and interesting OBE without controlling every small detail. That actually happens to me, I have to decide early on when OOB whether to just go with it and relinquish conscious control (and hope I don't forget a lot of what takes place) or else focus on mental clarity (and thereby maybe miss a chance to go somewhere interesting and do something special).

Regards  8-)

Congrats!  I have problems with names and numbers myself, but I have that issue in the physical so...

Thank you for sharing that firmitas.  :-)

How did you manage to do this?  Is it just easy for you?  I've been trying to do this for years but have never succeed.  It seems that the moment I wake up, I'm UP.  Whatever I might have been dreaming vanishes and it takes a lot of effort for me to remember what it was.  Is there some trick to realizing you're about to wake up and making sure you keep still?  I usually wake up several times during the night without an alarm clock so that's not the problem.  All the writings on this technique I've read really just boil down to willing yourself to do this which doesn't help much if you're already up and moving before you realize you're awake.

To be honest, it just started happening randomly for me. I realized once that when I wake up but dont move, the vibrations that occur before an AP start. Usually I do the same thing that you do, I wake up but I am already moving. I think that this is because you are waking up immediately from a dream. Thus if you were just moving in your dream, your waking state is going to want to move as well. The reason I was able to do it in the dream I mentioned was because, I layed down in my dream in the same position I was already sleeping. That way I just sort of shifted consciousness.
I haven't gotten to the point where this happens 100% of the time yet though. I just keep it in the back of my mind and occasionally I get lucky. I would Just keep trying to keep that in your mind for a while and something is bound to happen.
Also a little sidenote, I noticed that this tends to happen after I do some sort of energy meditation before  bed. Before the last AP I mentioned in this post, I was simply laying on my bed focusing on areas of my body and feeling the energy move.
Something to think about.

Good luck!

You will find that when  you wake-up briefly from a dream, then going back to sleep is the PERFECT time for entering the trance state. Reason why I say this is that our physical bodies are drowsy, somewhat conscious of the physical but heading back to the relaxed trance state. This is the best you can every be when trying
to shift into the astral body.

Don't focus on position, all that matters is the comfort level you are at that time. The more relaxed and comfortable upon awakening, it will be easier to slip into the trance. I also, suggest focusing on a pleasant
thought that you can hold while falling back to sleep which will keep your mind awake during body asleep.

I noticed this morning and after so many years of projecting all I have to do is close my eyes, lightly focus on the thought and can immediately start seeing out of my eye-lids "clear seeing" and simple to enter the trance to exit.

I have gotten very good at this over the years and couldn't agree more.   One thing I wanted to comment on is if you are wanting to go back to the dream you just came from focus on the dream, run it through your head, instead of just thinking of some pleasant thought, have intent to go back to the actual experience and you will zip right back there.
