Ive been trying so hard to get it past 25 seconds... When I realize im dreaming I start drifting away and then I woke up. Has anyone have had a LONG lucid dream, dozens of minutes? Is it possible hours or days?

My longest, which was within the last couple months, has felt 30 - 40 minutes... unfortunately I don't remember all too much of it.  So... I'll just my second longest, which was also kind of recently, back in September.

I can go in & out of lucid dreams for hours in the morning, I just keep hitting the snooze button every 10 minutes, so I never really go into deep sleep. I am very careful not to move too much & I don't open my eyes. I hold onto part of the dream as I hit the snooze button, then go back into the same dream. I can do this for up to 3 hours on the weekends.

I think my longest one felt like approx 10 minutes, but usually they are shorter.

My lucid dreams usually never last that long, like 20 or 30 seconds tops, and the OBE's i've had seemed to last 10 to 20 minutes.  The other day, however, I had a lucid dream that lasted for what seemed like 10 or 15 minutes, not sure why this one lasted so long.  I think the more you do it, the more you are able to control your emotions and keep your concentration.  The excitement from becoming lucid is enough to end the experience for a lot of people in a very short amount of time.

I've had this problem. It's quite simple when you think about it. Don't get excited, concentrate on a animated character (can be any thing). As, don't think "I'm about to wake up because I'm lucid". (Easier said than done).
I've substained a dream for so long doing this, I got worried that there was something wrong with my body. As over doing this will pull you out of lucidity and back into the dream.
Hope this helps.

Don't get excited
Yes!  Definitely!  That certainly can't be stressed enough.
My last lucid experience I remember my exact words when I figured out it was a dream... "Oh hey, I guess I'm dreaming"... it was so nonchalantly put that, right now, thinking back on it, I surprise even myself.  LoL
