Traveling to spirit world w/help of Shaman?

Has anyone had a vision quest, been in a sweat lodge, or had work done to them(such as soul retrieval)by an experienced shaman? One shaman master, Sandra Ingerman, travels there with only the aid of a drum.

I just happen to have an appointment this afternoon for a shaman to do a soul retrieval/extraction, should I need them.

Kinda nervous. I beleive I have met my spirit guides, starting to not like that word.. spirit friends and I asked them to acompany me today.

I am hoping she mentions them, that way I know its not my imagination!

Though, techincally anyone can do this themselves. Travel I mean though its not a right now thing. It takes practice.

they're not special, they've just practiced longer than you. 

i attend a drum circle from time to time that is run buy a shaman that comes into my store a lot.

I would be interested in doing this. It's great to hear all the different ways of getting into trance.

I've read about fasting but my living situation is not permitting me to do so freely at the moment...
