I laid down to go to rest with the intention of having an OBE.
I ended up dreaming that I was laying in the bed and someone came in the room and I was worried about my OBE being interrupted.  That someone doesn't live with me anymore, so I know I was dreaming then..They left the room. Then I felt the strong vibrations and buzzing. Now I am fully aware and thinking to myself, 'ok it is about to happen'.  And, so at the end of the vibrations I feel a sensation like I was released and I'm in another world, not my room.

I'm moving forward through a vivid, surreal yet corporeal grassy field, similar to having a movie camera on a moving dolly going forward.  I am fully aware. I want to see if I can see my body if I turned around, but I can't move.  I can't control the motion. Just steadily going forward in moderately slow, smooth pace. I'm approaching a tall chain-link fence in grassy field and just pass right through it. I feel peaceful, totally aware, I have no body, and I can't control the movement.

I then see some orange hooded figures in the distance firing some futuristic gun at some tan humanoid forms.  That makes me want to pause because I don't want to move into that area.  Then I am aware of behind me and I see dogs (dobermans) seemingly barking and running towards me.  There is no audio during this entire experience.  I'm not afraid of the dogs.  One catches up to me and jumps at me, and I catch it hands that I can't see.  Then I find my self snap back, and I awake to sound of this weird electronic beeping sound that is coming from somewhere in the house.  I think that sound had an effect on what I experienced.

At any rate, I'm not sure what I experienced? Lucid dream obe or both? This whole experience seemed really real not like any other lucid dreams that I experienced.

Any thoughts?

It was both in my opinion. It was an "out of body experience" in the sense that your consciousness was not focusing on your physical  body awareness. The disassociation from the physical is apparent in that your perceived reality was a metaphysical or hallucinatory one.

It seems that you may have perceived an overlap of elements from your unconscious mind as well as the theoretically objective in the metaphysical ream. I only say this because I have seen hooded/veiled figures in a dark void setup and they seemingly acted by their own volition. They might have been sentient. Others have experienced them too and the similarities were striking. However, they are typically pale/luminous and ghostly.

I can relate to a lot of what you described and it is definately a breakthrough. I'm a mod in Astral Viewers and in there we generally classify OOBEs in this way:

1st phase OOBE = Here-now physical reality projection
2nd phase OOBE = Metaphysical projection

The latter is more common and easier to attain. It seems that it can be experienced from both a personal as well as a collective viewpoint. Personal because we may view worlds created by us (both consciously and unconsciously) and collective in the sense that certain environments are seemingly not our own, harder to mold and characters are too life-like compared to the manequin-like thought forms. Lucid and non-lucid dreams are incorporated in the second category as they are generally considered to be the viewing of the metaphysical realm or dreamworlds. Vague dreams is when your focus is not quite tuned there 100%.

1st phase also has a milder version. The milder version of here-now projections would be remote viewing. It is only a way of looking at things anyway. I personally like this guy as a lot of what he talks about ties in with what I've experienced:

You had a dream-initiated OBE into the astral plane... an astral projection. I like the movie-camera effect you describe, it can be fun letting the experience do all the work, occasionally. Interesting experience though... did you feel the hooded and tan beings were non-human?

Thanks for the feedback, folks!

@Astral316, I did feel that the tan and hooded beings were non-human.

One question that I do have is at which point can have a projection in the astral that mirrors the earth, i.e.; I would like to project into my room, see my resting body and venture from out from there?

You want an etheric projection... I seem to get these naturally more often than not. You can try placing intent to end up in your room during the pre-projection state, in other words picture your room and focus. I also hear if you try an exit technique (feel yourself leaving your body) as opposed to phasing into a scene you're more likely to have an etheric projection. Most of the time it's just a matter of luck.
