I entered the vibration stage without even trying?

Hello.

So this morning something happened to me related to astral projections without any effort from me.

I had just woken up and was lying on my bed when suddenly my body entered the vibration stage for no reason at all. Whenever I opened my eyes (I did that twice with some difficulty) the vibrations stopped until they came back after I closed them again.

This kind of experience wasn't new to me; it had occurred to me a few times in my dreams. The sole difference however this time was that I was awake (I'm 90% positive of this fact). I could hear my mom's car leaving outside and feel my dog moving in my bed. When the phone rang downstairs, I was even aware of it.

This lasted for about ten minutes until I grew weary of it. For some reason whenever I tried to propel myself forward using methods such as grabbing my bed table with my astral hands, I could feel my astral body moving but it was impossible for me to go any further. When I tried using the rope technique, my navel chakra opened up for some reason and there was this intense outburst of energy. The weird thing too is that my right side tickled (that's the best way to describe it) the entire time. When I sat up in bed because I couldn't take it anymore, it hurt slightly for a few seconds before going back to normal.

What does this mean? If it was a dream (which I doubt) what could I have done better to turn this into an AP?

Thanks for your time! :-)

If you wanted to leave your body you shouldn't have opened your eyes. It's about focus, if you focus on your physical body (opening your eyes) chances are you'll ground yourself. You don't use your eyes when you project, it doesn't feel like opening your eyes, vision just happens.

After a few years of projecting I noticed that I could see with my physical eyes shut (normally before going to bed or in a meditative state). Strange stuff.

If you haven't projected within the first minute of the vibrations chances are you won't. There's sort of a take off window (at least for me).

It wasn't a dream. The problem with AP is the way we recall it is much like the way we recall a dream. Vibrations by themselves are indicators of being on the verge of an OBE. But it could also just be something going on with your energy system.

Chances are it was because you just woke up, floating on the edge of dreaming and awake. There's an OBE sweet spot there that you can ride to have an effortless OBE (with practice). In fact after doing it awhile it becomes an involuntary thing and having 5 OBEs a night while just trying to go to sleep happens on a daily basis (I speak from personal experience). So that time is a very powerful time for OBEs.

What you could have done better... As soon as the vibrations start try to focus on them, become one with them, let them take you over. They should get powerful and more powerful until you pop out your body from the pressure. Really doing the rope technique at this point I think is pointless. Your mind (and heart) will feel like it's racing in sensory overload, all you can do is FEEL. So if you can FEEL yourself rising up that's good, but only at the peak of the vibrations.

It's like an airplane, you have to generate enough power to take off otherwise you'll just stall the craft it and will bounce down then you'll pull back again it will rise a few feet and stall again. Which is basically what you did. So you have to focus on generating the energy (vibrations) to an extreme. And then pop out. It's a feeling... like moving your arm. You'll get it if you keep trying, but don't use visualization when you're at this point, use your sense of feeling.

Thank you so much, it made everything clearer. Next time it happens I will be remembering this. :-)

Honestly I don't think you were awake... I've had projecting strings where at certain points I think I've awoken... sometimes I can see my room, I can hear the televison (even though it's really off), etc. Usually in these circumstances I have a difficult time moving some part of my body. When the vibes kick in I realize I'm not awake and I integrate into another projection.

As far as not being able to move well in projection... it may just be the luck of the draw. Sometimes I have full control, sometimes I lack control, and other times I am being controlled.

I think you felt awake but like the others have posted you were in an IN BETWEEN state. That is when my OBE's ALWAYS occur... without trying, totally random. I often feel like I am WIDE AWAKE when they happen but afterwards I realize that my MIND was fully awake and aware but my body was asleep, paralyzed, motionless....

Just a few weeks ago I had an OBE and I heard my alarm clock go off, I heard my husband tell me it was time to get up, I heard him go downstairs and wake our son up.... I heard a man's gruff voice say, "The damn lighthouse won't quit calling!" And then my husband returned upstairs and again told me to wake up and I couldn't! But wait, I was already up, wasn't I? Strange feeling indeed! So I concentrated on moving my fingers and toes knowing that would snap me back IN and sure enough it did. When I got up my husband said, "You're running late!"

About your eyes shuttering.... that has happened to me on many occasions too and it feels really strange and bizarre! I think that it's your SPIRITUAL eyes, at least in my case I think that's what it is. But I'm not sure!

I think that you were out of your body in this experience. It sounds a lot like my experiences. Sometimes I have an OBE and yet I don't leave my physical body. It's like I'm laying right on top of or shifted to one side of the other of myself. In fact I have only left my bedroom once. I get too scared during the experiences to try to go flying or anything! I'm just starting to "open my eyes" and see things during them.

Good luck to you. If you figure out how to "go" somewhere let me know please!  :-)

One more thing to add- vibrations are also felt on reentry, so if you were waking up, you had already projected and woke up in transition.
